aeryn loved his siblings dearly. if not for the comfort of being with someone, it was the warmth. they did not provide as much as their mother, but they were big enough to provide something. more than him at least.
he envied their size. if they wanted to go on an adventure, they’d probably be able to do it with ease. not fail miserably like he had the other day.
and then there was the dinner problem. everytime aeryn wished to eat they always covered the best spots. it was his fault for the most part. if he wasn’t so glued to his siblings he would’ve gotten a free spot. but he refused to leave their side again.
the boy ran into the same problem that morning. the two little soldiers guarded the food supply. aeryn tried squeezing under @Minnow. no luck. he tried to climb the mountain that was @Valiant. he fell. aeryn rested his fragile head on his tiny paws and softly complained.

Aliac saw her little black pup struggle to get his fill and for a second she chuckled at his feeble attempts to do so. Seems it was time for mother’s help as she heard the little one whimper. She gently nudged her child towards a teat and licked him softly.

yes he may be small and incapable of doing many tasks, but at least he had his mother. she was always quick to answer his cries. when she picked him up he let out a surprised squeak and a grateful one when he was placed in an empty spot at the dinner table. aeryn wasn’t hesitant to chow down.
usually the child would lie flat on his side when he got his fill, but today was different. his mother was a mystery. aside from being the source of life and luxury, he didn’t know much about her. so today that will change. aeryn would not succumb to sleep just yet. instead he lifted his small head and used his nose to brush along her skin.

She normally expected the pups to nurse then they slowly drift off to sleep although her little Aeryn was curious it seem as his little head began to lift up. She smiled at her pup and gave him a soft lick on his head. “Curious little thing aren’t you.”

as he wormed his way around the surface, a familiar warmth washed over its head. it wasn’t like the heat that the forms gave off. it tickled and if aeryn could giggle he would’ve done so. instead he let out amused squeals and whines.

He was a noisy little thing. This was a brand new experience for the shewolf but so far it wasn’t that bad. She nudged her little one. Although he was unable to see or hear her she hoped that he knew that she was his mother.
