Ven y muéstrame como baila el viento - Eilonwy - April 23, 2019

A few days went by and Eilonwy was starting to think that maybe, just maybe she could make a life up here so close to the stars. Of course, some of the wolves up there were caustic, and just by looking at them she knew she would have a lot of proving to do for them to even accept her as part of the pack, but no matter how long it took, Eilonwy knew she would find a way to get them to like her.

She thought that perhaps by helping with the effort of gathering food the wolves in the higher tiers would notice her, but Eilonwy wasn't a girl of impressive physical abilities. She was capable of providing for herself, but her diet consisted on small game and fish every now and then, and all of that in small portions. However, she remembered what Soltero once told her about the clouds and she thought... Maybe the Moonspear wolves could use someone who could predict the weather? She looked up to find a heavily clouded sky.. Clouds usually preceded rain so... She guessed there was a high chance of rain today?

Who was she kidding, cloud readers were useless.

RE: Ven y muéstrame como baila el viento - Arcturus - April 24, 2019

moonspear's newest cloud soothsayer had not gone unnoticed by arcturus. for such a young wolf, arcturus had become impressively jaded about the tenancy of those upon the mountain - it seemed for every new face they got, they lost one -- the mountain seemed to be an ever-revolving host of faces shuffling in and out of his life, without really caring about how they impacted those around him.

so, needless to say, arcturus had come to be quite skeptical of wolves that requested harbor in his home. it was not to say he resented them (he didn't) but he could not help but look at them as wolves that simply... hadn't left yet.

this newcomer, though, was his age -- begrudgingly, arcturus had seen her out and about, no doubt attempting to prove her metal to the prickly caucus that was moonspear's citizens. presently, she seemed to be looking at the vaporous clouds above, something that didn't particularly interest arcturus given how swollen and dark the clouds appeared to be. in spite of that, arcturus approached anyway. "what are you doing?" he tried to sound gruff, and his posture might even have suggested he was tougher than he was, but truthfully, arcturus needed a friend his own age and that had been one of the chief reasons he had approached eilonwy.

RE: Ven y muéstrame como baila el viento - Eilonwy - April 29, 2019

A threatening thunder rumbled in the distance, but even from down there Eilonwy could still feel the shock wave ripple down the slopes of Moonspear. The eerie wind only helped Eilonwy's lonely thoughts feel colder, as if things were about to get much darker. She was invisible, disposable and pretty much useless, so there was no reason for her to believe that she would last long within Moonspear's ranks if she didn't make an effort at making herself useful. But alas, anyone could tell it was about to rain.

The boy took her by surprise, and the already sensitive nerves that Eilonwy had been building up through her eerie forecasting session jumped on her as his voice sounded behind her. She collected herself as best as she could to address him, but it was clear through her eyes that she wasn't prepared for conversation. I was.. Uhm... I was just looking at the clouds. she admitted, feeling cornered by his stern demeanor. It might rain tonight, she added shyly, almost stuttering. What an omen.

RE: Ven y muéstrame como baila el viento - Arcturus - May 02, 2019

arcturus hadn't meant to take the willowy dove by surprise; as she startled and turned around with something akin to alarm still trickling in her wide gaze. arcturus' gruffness quickly slid away, finding guilt finger its way into his chest. had he sounded that mean?

he did not like the feeling he got from stirring fear in others; she looked like a cornered beast, and he felt remorse for approaching so abruptly. his tail fell and he looked away deliberately, studying the clouds eilonwy had mentioned. as if by taking his attention off of her, he might give her a reason to believe he wasn't necessarily trying to scare her.. "oh, yeah. they look pretty." it was not every day that someone called angry, brooding clouds pretty (and a boy using "pretty" seemed a good way to get ruthlessly mocked for being in touch with his sensitive side) -- but arcturus was a wolf of summit, used to stormy skies and dark moods. a subtle smile (still carrying bits of guilt) broke across his face as he looked back at eilonwy as if in apology for such a stupid statement. "well, i mean.. they're cool looking."
