Raise a little hell [m] - Rosalie - April 29, 2019

After Alessia had convinced her to return to the familial den, Rosalie had unwillingly followed. Although she wanted nothing more than to cuddle against the dark woman, Lie felt restless. She felt as though she had endless energy, and she needed to put it to use. With a huff she left the den once more and set a steady pace toward the creek. Once the creek was in view, she thought perhaps a drink would calm down her raging hormones.

With her chin drenched and thirst quenched Lie was still anxious. Setting a determined pace, the woman went in search of something to do. Venturing further and further from the den that harbored her lover and children, despite ignoring @Kavik ’s instruction.

RE: Raise a little hell - RIP Kavik - April 29, 2019

The alpha stalked through the territory on the way back to the den from a patrol, feeling restless and eager to get back to his family and check on them. He came up on the creek and followed its length, knowing it would lead him closer to his intended destination. He froze when Rosalie's scent filled his nose, ears flattening in anger. He had explicitly asked her to stay near the den; he didn't want anyone taking advantage of her. If he had learned anything from his situation with Alessia, it was that men couldn't control themselves around a female in heat.

He quickened his pace, eager to find her before anyone else did, and when he saw her leaving the water, thankfully still alone, he gave an angered chuff, commanding her to turn around and come to him. Mingling with his frustration to see her outside of the safety of the den was his desire to repeat what they had done the first night of her heat, further proving what he already knew about a man's control in this situation. Even angry, he was still lured by her scent; it filled his veins and urged him to take her rather than rebuke her for not following his wishes.

RE: Raise a little hell - Rosalie - April 29, 2019

She jumped at the anger directed at her, not having heard his approach. Feeling like the cat who caught the canary, Lie’s ears folded back and her tail curled beneath her. “Ka-Kavik.” She had never seen him seriously angry before, and Lie was honestly frightened.

Skulking over to the man, she looked up at his towering form. “I’m sorry.” She offered dropping her head. She wasn’t sure what had provoked her to leave the den, but instinct had decreed it.

RE: Raise a little hell - RIP Kavik - April 29, 2019

Her frightened posture dulled his anger some; it had not been his intention to scare her, only to instill in her some realization of the position she was currently in. Her defeated body language as she moved towards him made him feel even worse, and so when she reached him and apologized, he gently touched his nose to her cheek. No, I'm sorry for scaring you, he said first, lingering near her face. It was hard to pull away with her scent surrounding him, but he did just enough to hold her gaze. But, it's dangerous to be out here on your own, he said, his voice gentle despite the flare of anger at what could have happened had he not been the one to find her. He had already formed an attachment to her, and her heat made him horribly possessive. But it wasn't even only about that; Kavik knew Rosalie would hate it if she allowed someone else to be with her simply because her hormones lowered her guard.

He touched her cheek again because he couldn't help himself. But since I'm here with you now, I can go with you wherever you were going to go as long as we're not out too long, he suggested. It would be difficult to watch her be out here in the open, but he could deal with it for a little bit.

RE: Raise a little hell - Rosalie - April 29, 2019

She hadn’t really thought of the danger that might arise from her current predicament. The thought simply hadn’t crossed her mind, but she had felt the fear of being caught. And she wondered what might have happened had it been someone other than Kavik to stumble upon her. She leaned into his touch, due to instinct and equal parts due to appreciation.

“You aren’t going to tell me to go back?” His words from earlier had been pretty stern, and she assumed that she would simply have to exercise her excess energy in an alternative fashion. But he was willing to chaperon her, as they say. Which was sweet, in a strange kind of way. Yet for the two of them, Lie honestly didn’t think it to strange.

She was oddly conflicted about the man, after the other night and simply everything he had done since she first arrived, she honestly didn’t know what to think about Liri. About everything she had told her. Tilting her head she looked at the man quizzically. “I was just going for a walk.” She added softly, walking past him slowly and in awfully close quarters. “Would you join me?” She had questions to ask this man, questions she didn’t necessarily want Alessia knowing about.

RE: Raise a little hell - RIP Kavik - April 29, 2019

She seemed surprised by his willingness to allow her some time away from the den but, as she would soon learn, he had a soft spot for the ones he cared about. And now that she had shared her body with him, he felt even more compelled to make her happy, just as he did with Alessia.

She brushed past him, stating she was going to go on a walk, and he watched every step that she took, completely captured by her scent and the way she moved. He swallowed hard, unable to say anything for a few seconds. She said something else, but he honestly lost the ability to understand words for the few seconds he was rendered speechless. When he finally realized he had not said anything yet, he cleared his throat. Um, yeah, let's go for a walk, the alpha finally answered a bit breathlessly. He came up beside her and matched her steps, wondering how long he could keep himself from doing what her scent demanded.

RE: Raise a little hell - Rosalie - April 29, 2019

Desire wracked her frame, but she pulled on ever once of self-restraint she had. The hormones raging within her system begged her for an encore, but she refused. She had to know! Before she could allow herself to fully accept him into her warped sense of family. The woman, Liri, had shaken the foundation that had slowly built between herself and the brute, and now she needed answers.

She glanced over at the man, her seafoam green gaze looking for any sign of deceit or lies. But she couldn’t find any, and she wasn’t sure what that meant. Either he was a very good liar, or he had made a terrible mistake. Either way, Rosalie was determined to know who might be fathering any children she was raising.

“I met someone interesting a few weeks ago.” The red woman started. Clearing her throat, “She called herself Liri.” Her gaze remained firmly on the man wondering what expression she might find.

RE: Raise a little hell - RIP Kavik - April 29, 2019

He didn't think anything could overpower his desire for a repeat of the other night, but then she said the one word that literally reset his system. Kavik froze, his expression darkening and becoming pained. He closed his eyes for a few minutes, unable to think clearly with the resurfacing of such despair. With a deep breath, he finally looked to her. She was my mate before Alessia, he said somberly. He wondered what Liri had told her. He didn't think it would be anything nice, and he thought she had every right to say whatever she wanted about him; he had been the one to fuck everything up. We led the plateau together, Kavik continued, looking away and sitting, unable to keep walking at the moment. She got really sick, and then the plateau was invaded because our numbers were low. He stopped for a second, not at all prepared for the retelling of one of the worst moments of his life. I couldn't find her in the dens when I went to look for her and-- He looked to Rosalie, a pleading look in his emerald gaze. I thought she was dead, he almost whispered. He didn't say anything for a few moments, finding himself speechless for a very different reason now. And well, you know the rest, he finally finished, looking away. He was afraid to see her expression, sure there would be disgust there.

RE: Raise a little hell - Rosalie - April 30, 2019

Lie suddenly wished she hadn’t doubted him, the defeated and haunted look that passed over his face landed like a rock in the pit of her stomach. His words filled her with despair, just as she could see the same misery leak into his words.

His words helped to fill in the missing link between what Liri had told her and where they ended up. There was only one thing left that she didn’t understand. After spending months and months searching for the one she loved, she would have spent years looking if necessary, Lie didn’t understand how he had moved onto another so quickly. “So you didn’t love her?” Lie missed the harshness in her words, and tried to backpedal, “I mean, how long was it between Liri and Alessia? I don’t understand how you could move on so quickly.” Rosalie honestly didn’t mean to cause the man more harm, but alas that was her way apparently.

RE: Raise a little hell - RIP Kavik - April 30, 2019

It was a mistake, he said, lifting his gaze to meet hers. Of course I loved her, and I wouldn't have just moved on, but I was....grieving and weak. He turned away from her again. I wasn't just going to leave Alessia to raise the children alone, even after I found out Liri was still alive. He wondered how many times he would have to suffer for this mistake before it was considered enough? Probably never; it was certainly what he deserved. I am haunted by that mistake, Rosalie, but I can't undue the past; all I can do is try to make the best of what I have now. I love those children and I couldn't imagine my life without them or you and Alessia, he added, trying to make her see that he was more than his moment of weakness.

He stood, a defeated look on his face. I understand if it makes you feel differently about things, he said quietly. I'll escort you safely back to the den and then give you guys some space. Even if she hated him now, he wouldn't let her come to harm.

RE: Raise a little hell - Rosalie - April 30, 2019

Once he turned away he refused to look at her again. No matter how hard she tried to catch his piercing green eyes he wouldn’t budge. It was a mistake. She felt horrible at the relief that flooded her system, but there was an inkling of joy too. Feeling the way she was feeling, Lie could guess what had happened with Kavik and Alessia. There hadn’t been love at first sight, no forsaking of past love, rather it was instinct that had taken over.

A weight was lifted from her shoulders realizing that Alessia hadn’t simply given up on her, and she was firm in her believe that Kavik was indeed a good person. She smiled softly, sadly at his defeated demeanor. “No.” Lie stepped forward, invading the mans space. “It was an accident Kavik. I can understand that.” She touched her nose to his cheek. “I’m not ready to go back yet.”

RE: Raise a little hell - RIP Kavik - April 30, 2019

He closed his eyes as she neared and leaned into her touch as she had done to his. He was relieved to hear that she understood, but he also felt incredibly guilty; he didn't deserve for her to be so understanding. He moved his nose through the fur along her jaw, fighting the urge to draw in her scent. Alright, we don't have to go back yet, he said softly, willing to give her just about anything she wanted right now. The scent of her heat and her unexpected kindness regarding the mess he had made had him wanting to fulfill whatever request she made of him right then. We can still go for a walk, he suggested, speaking against her fur; he wasn't ready to pull back yet, too grateful that she hadn't forsaken him and demanded that he never touch her again. He wasn't sure quite what was happening, but he knew it would be difficult for things to go back to normal now that he knew what it was like to be with her.

RE: Raise a little hell - Rosalie - April 30, 2019

“Mhmm.” Lie nodded slowly, closing her eyes. She had agreed to continue on their walk, but she paused taking an extra long time to gather her thoughts and eventually pull her distracted body away from the man. Suddenly unsure of herself, Lie turned away slowly, and took a few more steps before turning back and throwing Kavik a glance over her shoulder. A nervous and anxious energy settled upon the woman, her desires pushing her further than she was sure.

An apology stuck to the tip of her tongue, but she wouldn’t let it go. Rather she bit back her words, and continued on her way, “I asked you some pretty personal questions, I think it’s your turn.” Given the magnitude of the relation that was creeping up on the two, Lie wondered if Kavik might have similar questions for her. The red woman had no idea what Alessia may or may not have mentioned about her.

RE: Raise a little hell - RIP Kavik - June 25, 2019

He watched her walk in front of him, meeting her gaze when she stopped to look at him from over her shoulder. He could sense her anxiety and wanted to soothe it, so Kavik moved forward, brushing his body against hers as he came to her side, unable to keep from touching her and hoping that by closing the distance between them once more, he could ease her nerves; it also helped ensure that she was covered in his scent should she find herself on her own again after this.

It took him a few seconds to make sense of her words through the swell of emotions and hormones fogging up his brain. He swallowed, silent for a few moments while he collected himself. Okay, he said first, clearing his throat. How did you meet Alessia? He was curious to know more about her relationship with his mate.

RE: Raise a little hell - Rosalie - June 26, 2019

No really in the mood for conversation, but not really willing {nor confident enough} to speak her true desire, she swallowed thickly. Thinking about Alessia was not a good idea at the moment. “We were born the same year at Spiritlight Falls.” She answered softly, throwing a demure look at the man. “We’ve been inseparable for almost as long as I can remember.”

Thought of her lover interrupted proper thought, taking a shaky breath, a smile on her lips she continued. “Eventually it just became something more. Something unbreakable.” As was obvious by the relations now shared between herself and Kavik.

RE: Raise a little hell - RIP Kavik - July 03, 2019

She was making it hard for him to restrain himself, whether she knew what she was doing or not, but he managed to stay engaged in the conversation regardless. Probably because it was about Alessia, and he was just as interested to know more about her as he was to know more about Rosalie.

But more questions might have to wait; he hadn't missed her shaky intake of breath, and he found himself unable to concentrate for a few brief moments. He barely caught her last words, but he nodded in response. I'm glad she has you here then, he answered, reaching over and nibbling at the place where her ear met her neck and running his nose through the feathery hair there. He pulled away slightly and murmured: I apologize; I can't seem to control myself. Still, he lingered near her neck as he spoke, finding it very difficult to pull away further.

RE: Raise a little hell - Rosalie - August 11, 2019

“Life is boring with self-control” She had forgotten the context of their conversation, lost in his scent. Leaning into his touch, her lids fell closed and her breath deepened. There was a pit of guilt that fell like a stone in her stomach at the thought of Alessia back at their den.

But her hormones quickly decided that was an emotional rollercoaster that could be tackled later. Right now there was only one thought on her mind. Kavik.

RE: Raise a little hell - RIP Kavik - August 13, 2019

She was killing him. He was never very good at the self control thing when it came to women, especially the ones that he cared about. A low chuckle rumbled from his chest. You make a good point, he teased, nipping her again below her ear. He nuzzled her neck, breathing in deeply. His stomach tightened at the shift in her scent, and memories of the other night flooded his mind, making him pause his languid affection. He pulled back just enough to study her face. How are you feeling, he asked. I...don't want to hurt you. His words were quiet, his following nuzzle a bit hesitant. His control may be slipping considerably, but it wouldn't keep him from worrying about her.

RE: Raise a little hell - Rosalie - August 13, 2019

A smile continued to tip her lips as she relished in his affections, and she was touched by his self-control as he whispered in her ear. “I’m fine. I trust you.” Her own self restraint wavered after acknowledging she honestly did trust him. She wasn’t exactly sure when this guy had gone from enemy number one to something more, something deeper. And shockingly she realized maybe there were feelings that she hadn’t felt for anyone except Alessia. Given the hormones raging through her system she couldn’t be 100% accurate but Lie would thing about this moment for many, many weeks to come.

“Kavik, I want you.” Again admitting a truth she wasn’t sure she had been ready to admit. Wasn’t Alessia the only one she had ever wanted? Lie knew there was a conflict within her that needed to be rectified, but at the moment it didn’t matter. She didn’t want Alessia in this very moment, she wanted Kavik. Swing her hips around, she threw him a sly looking, daring him to deny himself. The deny her.

RE: Raise a little hell [m] - RIP Kavik - August 13, 2019

The assurance that she was fine was all he needed to hear; even in their current state, he didn't think she would lie about how she felt. Her admission made him swallow as need rushed through him. She moved, and he watched as she swayed her hips, the look she gave him pulling a harsh breath from his nose as the last of his reservations melted away. How could he hold back now with her looking so inviting?

Finally giving in to what they both wanted, Kavik closed the space between them, moving to her side and nibbling at the fur along the back of her neck. He lingered there, nipping and nuzzling, giving her time to change her mind. Assuming she still wanted him, he took over from there, slowly and gently connecting them. And, despite the overwhelming urge to relinquish his last thread of control, he made sure the entirety of their copulation was just as gentle.

Afterwards, he coaxed her to the ground, wrapping himself around her assuming she permitted it. Soon, they would head back to the den, but for now, he just wanted to lavish her with affection.
