Innocent Coffee Shop - RIP Tzila - April 30, 2019

Elysium event: On Friday, April 19, to correspond with our April theme of Creation (more details tomorrow!) and the full moon that night, we will be taking gifts to each of the pregnant and/or nursing women within our allies' packs.
Ephraim, much to her dismay and irritance, had seemingly backed out of this little event. Leaving her to go it alone, venturing to the borders of a pack she knew nothing about. Tzila had begrudgingly volunteered for this event, but only because she felt that she was in debt to Olive and Elysium.

Days before her journey, she had set about her task of gathering up bits and goodies for the pregnant females and their young. Tzila had never really given much thought to motherhood, but she had enough common sense to know what would make for a fine gift, and what would not. So, in her jaws hung a discarded pair of deer antlers she had found, the sharp points filed down to blunt knobs for safety. Laced within them was a thick lining of moss, some ginger root (cause what kid didn't get an upset tummy?) a nicely skinned fox pelt (fully intact) and a vibrant tigers eye stone that would capture the imagination of any pup. As she arrived just outside the borders of the pack, she set her bundle down and drew in a breath, gathering her composure. She'd have to watch herself...to tuck away her normally sour attitude so as not to offend the welcoming committee. And then she called in low note, specificially for any Rusalkain within ear shot.

RE: Innocent Coffee Shop - Rosalyn - April 30, 2019

She'd gone for food, and a large tern hung from her jaws as Rosalyn trotted back along the edge of the territory.  Lately she'd had little interest in much outside of Erzulie and their children, so when the call came, she very nearly ignored it.

No, perhaps not.  They couldn't ignore the pack completely, she supposed, and this was too easy a way to make herself quicky useful.  Rosalyn dropped the bird near a tree, kicking loam over it to retrieve later, and then adjusted her route to meet the caller.

You looking for something? she asked as she arrived, keeping her head lifted as she appraised the woman skeptically.  She was waiting politely, but that did not mean she wasn't here to cause harm.  Luckily she was only slightly larger than Rosalyn herself - surely she could take her if it came to blows.

RE: Innocent Coffee Shop - RIP Tzila - May 09, 2019

It didn't take long for her call to be answered. The form of a wolf, notably female, emerged to greet her. The instant Tzila saw her assured posture and raised head, she wanted to sneer. And she would have, were she not having to stay in character. This was not the time nor the place to go revealing her true nature. She would play out the part of the kind guest dutifully.

Her inky ears slipped back and she naturally dropped down into a slightly lower posture than the resident female, a silent acknowledgement of her claim and superiority. Like any good, obedient little outsider should do... She mused darkly, smirking inside. Clearing her throat, she spoke in a softer voice than usual...but this wolf wouldn't know that. "Yes...or perhaps someone..." The beginnings of an easy smile touched her lips. "I've been sent from Elysium." She gestured to the oh so thoughtfully put together goodie bundle by her paws. "...with gifts for the mothers to be and their young, out of good will. And to extend our congratulations." She ended sincerely. Tzila put on a sweet, convincing act. Not bad for a first time representative. Even if at heart she had little interest in the activity to begin with.

RE: Innocent Coffee Shop - Rosalyn - May 10, 2019

Hmm.  Maybe it was a ploy to remain on good terms, but Rosalyn couldn't help judging the woman and her purpose.  Their pack would do better minding their own business and letting them go on with theirs.  You don't say?  What's wrong with yours then, not worth the congratulations themselves?  She tsked, clearly amused.  Tzila seemed nice enough, but nice had never really interested the pirate much.

That's a shame.  She stopped herself before she made a joke about their pack's 'stock'... she didn't want to offend the woman completely, because gifts sounded nice.  Charity was charity, though, and no gift ever came free.  She wondered what they hoped to claim in return.

Inside, Tzila sneered and cringed. It wasn't like she wanted to be here, delivering such a sweet token of good will! Had she not been representing Elysium and only herself, she would have showed her true character. Instead her brows shot up, mild surprise written in her mercury eyes. "I'm afraid I can't give you an answer to that, specifically." She paused, leveling her gaze with Rosalyn's.

"I'm one of their newest, you see. Long story short, I was holed up recovering from an ailment. So, I had little time to familiarize myself with the intricacies of the pack." She tipped her chin up a notch, the corner of her lip forming another faint smile. "I thought it only polite to follow their gesture...do good by them with this act. They...seemed sincere enough."

RE: Innocent Coffee Shop - Rosalyn - June 11, 2019

She didn't believe it.  There was no reason for one pack to freely offer gifts to another.  It was at least a bid for good will, but because it was one without promise, even accepting would not make Rusalka beholden to it in her eyes.  She wondered if Caiaphas would feel the same.

They are either insincere or stupid, but either way, if you want to leave it I won't argue.  she indicated the gift.  Was that all you wanted?  If so she was starting to feel restless, and wanted to get back to their rather large family.

RE: Innocent Coffee Shop - RIP Tzila - June 12, 2019

Tzila was tired of this little game. Of this fake act she was putting on. "Insincere? Maybe." A spark lit in her silver eyes and her mask of innocence shattered. "But stupid, yes." She smirked openly, drawing her head back into a more natural position, letting her body loosen. "Do you think I wanted to do this?" She let out a short, dry laugh. "Of course not."

Her eyes narrowed, tail swishing. "I am only keeping in their good books. I'm just along for the ride." She saw no harm in showing her true colors in front of this wolf. Rosalyn didn't seem at all interested in business with Elysium, so she doubted she'd bother to rat her out. If anything, going by her sheer attitude alone, Rusalka was a pack more her own speed. Tzila didn't think they'd cross paths anytime again soon. "That is all. I came to do what was asked of me." She began to turn away, moving with a little more confidence...a little more sass. "Good day to you."

RE: Innocent Coffee Shop - Rosalyn - July 09, 2019

Alright.  Three years ago, this woman would have been Rosalyn.  Elysium sounded like a pack ripe for the picking to a young pirate who wanted to take what she could and give the bare minimum in return.  Good luck with that, she returned impassively, watching her go.  She'd grown slightly past that, but not entirely; she'd hardly thrown herself fully in here.

Either way, she got free shit.  Picking up the gift, she jogged away, back into the territory and towards the shore.
