There is no way of telling how long they'll be gone - Revan - May 09, 2019 Come to meet a goof boi!
With the changes that he'd suffered, not only of the physical kind, but also in the matter of personality and intelligence, Revan already felt like he could own the world. His siblings were a necessary burden, however, for they provided much needed entertainment and quite a share of exercise, so he accepted their presence and even engaged on interactions quite often. But he liked his time alone. It was only then that Revan felt like he was conquering the world, that he was making a real progress in his own direction. It truly only was the time when he felt more inclined to expanding his knowledge of the world, for he didn't have to focus on his siblings. Each day, when he could afford it, Revan took the initiative to come out of the den to explore yet another patch of the land that surrounded the den. He would always sneak out, save himself from the dread of dragging any company, and on he went to explore the world. With a still quite wobbly prowl Revan scoured the hollow's ground with his nose, trying to find something worthy of his attention. But instead it found him. Out of nowhere came a root, thin and crooked, sprouting out of the floor. It tripped the dark babe over, challenging him for the land. And you bet Revan took up on the chance to prove his strength. After he was done tumbling on the ground he rose to make a stand, growling fiercely at his opponent and engaging in battle with claw and teeth. It was mostly a one-seided confrontation for obvious reasons, but Revan was totally owning that stoopid root. RE: There is no way of telling how long they'll be gone - Venamis - May 09, 2019 Editing in a fade to archive. :)
He was growing swiftly, and his interest in the world beyond the family's den heightened with each day that passed. Venamis' vision, despite unknowingly being abnormal, had sharpened considerably; bright colours were few and far between in Phantom Hollow, but he was drawn to each and every one he happened across. Be it a simple stalk of grass or a glimpse of a vivid Springtime sky between the twisted branches above, the little Melonii always thirsted for more. When he noticed his brother venture from the burrow, the obsidian spiderling was quick to head outside in search of him - likely much to Revan's annoyance. He moved as promptly as his strengthening limbs would allow, baby blue gaze settling on the other cub just as he gathered himself to turn on (what he assumed to be) Venamis himself. He responded defensively, scruffy tail flagging at his rear as he barked rebelliously at the sibling who he felt the need to challenge him: "ARF!" Revan barely responded, and Ven grew tired of awaiting the reaction he hoped for. As such, he felt safe to assume that his brother accepted his place in the pecking order. Turning away and leaving the other boy to explore on his own, the young Melonii basked in the satisfaction of asserting himself successfully. |
