If I jumped, could I fly? - Autumn - July 20, 2014 Anyone is welcome to join. This is somewhere between Porcupine Ridge and Horizon Ridge.
Autumn had promised herself on the island that she would journey to the mountains. She stood on a rocky slope, and it reminded her of her childhood home. Her paws shifted as the wind threatened to blow her away. Pebbles tumbled downward. Autumn lifted her face to the sun and closed her eyes and let the cool air rush through her fiery fur. She could be like the fox spirits in the legends with mountains as the setting. Shade Boulder, Arctic Fur, Ice Air, or Cave Bear. She felt like she could just jump off and soar, and fly. But she better not, she thought with a chuckle, opening her eyes. It was a long way down, even though she was not at the peak of Porcupine Ridge. She would journey toward the Sunspire, and make her way to the meadow. The alpha had been said to look like a fox, but was the girl as smart, or fast, or joyful as one? After the meadow she would see where the wind carried her, whether straight back here or towards Silvertip perhaps. Autumn loved traveling. RE: If I jumped, could I fly? - Fang - July 20, 2014 I'm gonna jump on this thread train if'n you don't mind.
RE: If I jumped, could I fly? - Meldresi - July 20, 2014 The mountains made Meldresi's pawpads cracked and sore. She wanted to get off this hard mountain and return to the lush and soft ones of the Spine, but she had to get this hare! She was starving. The hare was accustomed to the mountain, unlike her. It scurried ahead, dodging and evading her snaps. The priestess growled and increased her speed. She needed this hare! Soon it darted away, taking a hard right and Meldresi skidded to a halt. She caught her breath as she peered over the edge of the cliff. "Sweet mother..." she cursed. "That was close..." The raven-furred wolf shook her fur, relieved that she didn't fall off the edge. In the corner of her gaze she saw an orange-red pelt. A fox? Her indigo eyes fixed on it. So close to a cliff? RE: If I jumped, could I fly? - Autumn - July 21, 2014 Autumn looked up to a loud bark. Probably a local pack wolf. She grinned. "Hello there, sir! Nice day?" She called. She knew whether it was a fierce pack or not she would easily outwit a wolf if it came to danger. Or outrun it. Racing was fun. She did not notice the black wolf who had been chasing a rabbit. Otherwise she would've been suspicious and checked to see if wolves were behind her, too. But she was not too alert today. She was too busy taking in the view like a feast after starvation. She could see so far... She wondered what was outside the Teekons. One day, I'll go out and explore that. RE: If I jumped, could I fly? - Fang - July 21, 2014
RE: If I jumped, could I fly? - Meldresi - July 21, 2014 Meldresi blinked from her sudden shock, focusing now on the fox and wolf in front of her. The fox hadn't seen her, but the wolf....no, he wasn't just a wolf. A mix-breed. She could tell from the shape of his face to his body shape. Half-dog, half-wolf. Nothing uncommon, but still. She approached the pair, noting the quizzical look on the half-breed's face. "Pardon me." RE: If I jumped, could I fly? - Autumn - July 29, 2014 She smiled as he replied. "Is it odd for a fox to be up here? It's just that I just love the veiw. As well as the fact that I'm journeying on as much land as I can cover. Why are you up here?" She asked. She looked up when another voice came to her ears. A black wolf that she hadn't even noticed. She scolded herself for being so clumsy. "Hello there! I'm sorry, I didn't even notice you there." RE: If I jumped, could I fly? - Fang - August 01, 2014 Sorry for the delay!
