he tried to reason with the sky and the clouds - Cephaloryn - June 03, 2019

@Strand only — for now at least.

Something in him had shifted ever so slightly, not enough to outsiders but enough to himself. A desire had bloomed within him. He had mulled on it though as he typically did. Waited a few days to make sure it was not a fleeting thought that had simply been brought on by who knows what. Yet the clock kept ticking and his thoughts had not shifted very far. He knew, that morning, that it was time to do something.

He slipped away from the tide pools looking like a disheveled creature. Perhaps he could find the island's blonde leader more inland. If not, well his call that he released for her would be easily heard here rather than near the crashing of the waves.

Strand heard the call and came limping over to Rokig. She was pissed off because Firefly had mysteriously fucking vanished after she’d spent so much time getting him settled in (okay so not very much time but she was still angry about it). She marched up to Rokig and tried to reel in her anger so as not to take it out on him. He had remained loyal for months now. “Did you need something?” she asked. There was a trace of annoyance still clear in her voice but it was muted. “And by the way, if Firefly comes back here, tell him to fuck off. Deserters don’t get second chances.”

i guess closing this off since you're going on hiatus. <3

He had been ready to lay it all out for Strand at her questions but then she said something that struck him as...odd. The only other male on the island (unless Rokig or his writer were missing something somewhere — which was possible) had supposedly upped and left. Fuck him. He didn't deeply know the male so the words rolled off his tongue with ease but there was no denying the stiffness that ran through them.

I want to be your right hand Strand, your beta. He was not going to beat around the bush on this topic. It was important and if they ever wished to be official, he wanted to know where he stood amongst all the islanders. Except he wanted to make sure she knew where he wanted to be.
