River runs wild with what has gone before - Gannet - June 07, 2019 this may end up a read only <3 but you are welcome to join, wanted it for ref
Gannet was about a day behind in reaching the forest, having left as soon as he had an answer and trailing their tracks. He did not want to linger on it, mostly because he wanted to get past this soft sadness that had settled on him. He did not understand why they had felt the need to go and this time, with the children, the parting was even worse. Silently Gannet slowed to a stop and lingered a minute, glancing at the trees around him. He was glad that Liffey led the way because he had no clue the exact destination they sought, but even the broken day-old trail would lead him true. He took a moment - deep breath in, deep out. Then, with little enthusiasm and more than a little dread, he continued onward. RE: River runs wild with what has gone before - Buniq - June 07, 2019 The forest would be nice, she thinks, if she didn't loathe the feeling of pine needles under her paws. It's beautiful and green and quiet here, and it reminds her of something she can't quite recall. A place she's seen before, perhaps — or maybe it's just the feeling that's so familiar. Either way, the whole thing is pretty much ruined by the pine needles littering the forest floor, so it doesn't really matter. Ugh,She mumbles, freezing when her single utterance is followed by the sudden, faint sound of footsteps. Her head lifts slightly as the scent of a stranger grows overwhelmingly strong, gaze flitting over the spaces between the trees until pale fur catches her eye. Hello? She calls a little uncertainly, taking a few steps toward the figure and trying not to think about all the pine needles she's stepping on. RE: River runs wild with what has gone before - Gannet - June 15, 2019 He stopped when he heard someone call out to him, and immediately turned around. He didn't want to be stopped for too long, as he was afraid he would lose the trail they had set, but he wasn't the type to ignore a stranger. Hello,he returned curiously, then waited. Gannet wasn't the best at conversation even on a good day, and it took conscious effort to remember to try. Right now his thoughts were mostly preoccupied, but his silence was definitely nothing but friendly. |
