which by and by black night doth take away - Thelxiope - August 14, 2019 something has roused her, and she slips from her place beneath a willow tree, not one for sleeping when something greater wishes her awake. she passes by the rocky den that has become her cache, and is content with the knowledge that within, she has most of what she'll need to weather a good winter - she will seek to pad her supplies in the coming weeks, but she knows that she is much content with the run of things thus far. just outside the cache, a few scattered stems and leaves invite a soothing, familiar scent to settle lightly over the small clearing. she pauses a moment here, the night air sweetened by the scents of lavender, mint, and other herbs she's left out from the stores. before long, she's moving on again, slipping through the parts of the territory that remain unfamiliar. RE: which by and by black night doth take away - Dorea - August 14, 2019 She did not recognize the figure that moved with a purpose through the lands of Elysium. So she followed from beneath the willow trees and any tall grasses that could hide her growing form. Eventually she realized that the figure showed no sign of stopping and so without little warning, she slipped to trail directly behind the female. Dorea did not care if she could be detected easily now. Her goal was to gently nip the heels of the woman and herd her to a stopping point. No one said the Fearghal was the kindest child. RE: which by and by black night doth take away - Thelxiope - August 27, 2019 the child is efficient at commanding her attention, and the salt-witch turns fluidly to regard her. she's young, perhaps only a few months old, and the witch's expression holds no harshness as she regards her. "hello," she offers, wondering what she's doing wandering out so late. "I'm Thelxiope." as who she assumes to be the newest here between the two, she offers her own introduction first, asking after the girls a beat later. |
