you are shaking fists & trembling teeth - Scarab - August 16, 2019

tags for reference! :-)

@Clementine was missing and worry gnaws at scarab's heart like a persistent crow pecking at its prized corpse. scarab has been outside of rusalka's borders before ...but never this far. and yet, in the face of his desire to find his missing sister he doesn't consider that his search and rescue mission might cause the suns of his life to worry about him. he only knows that he has a duty to protect the stars and suns of his life ( even if they don't need it ) and he isn't going to find clementine by staying in the safety of rusalka's borders.

he doesn't know if he's going the right way; her scent trail is long gone but in the morning light, the sun an unobscured citrine ball of light in the sky, he follows the path of the emerald grasses that give into ghostly pale ash trees of stavanger bay, ears alert and eyes keen as he pushes forward on his self-given mission.

RE: you are shaking fists & trembling teeth - Opalia - August 19, 2019

For every mile south she goes, there also came a weird guilt. It's further from the Cliffs, the grotto, and anywhere she could have expected Dacio to look for her whenever he was due to return--which she had no idea when. But it wasn't enough to completely stop her, apparently. Day by day she ranged onward, further down the coastline in the opposite direction of her birthplace.

These stretches of coast were treating her well and although windswept and wild, the young Drakru had known well how to thrive near the waves. Solitude, and lack of a true cause, could be her only complaints--but she trusted those would both end one day soon before winter forced it to. But, for now, the yearling had good morale for flying solo, and was enjoying the fringes of the bay when her nose skimmed over fresh trail worth a follow. She was curious enough to go see more, so adjusted her steps--quicker, quieter; she smelled like nothing in particular, just the wilds' seaside.. no hint of her former life.

After falling into step with his trail, she tracked the young Rusalkan almost to him. She slowed up considerably once she caught glimpse of him--would he realize her? She soon started on underneath the ash trees too.. but slowly, steadily steered closer and closer to the stranger. When she got close enough to warrant it, Opalia bit her tongue when the first thing on it was her custom Dragedan greeting. Hopefully only she would realize the pause it gave her. Hail, stranger.. she chuffed, trying not to sound too much like herself even, although was it even all that different? Not really. In particular, she still was sure to carry herself neatly. Her nose confirmed he was Rusalka, and not reacting to that was painful enough. Heading somewhere? seemed a good vague question to begin upon from a nobody like her.

RE: you are shaking fists & trembling teeth - Erzulie - August 22, 2019

a cameo for now!

clementine had gone missing. rosalyn had roamed from rusalka's borders to find her. worry clutched at erzulie's heart, a heaviness she had never before experienced; a tremble to her lips when she followed the trail of scarab's scent to find that he too had disappeared from their land.
terror guided the harlot to leave the rest of her brood with raleska; she strode resolutely along the path that her son had left, fearing all manner of evil that might have befallen him. but she would not allow herself to weep, not now. rosalyn would find their daughter, and she would find scarab. it was a truth to which the jezebel clutched.
imagine the rage that burned suddenly in her warrior's heart as she caught the freshness of scarab upon the wind, mingled with the reek of another she recognized only from the war in drageda.
erzulie slithered forward, teeth baring as her cinnamon ears flicked down against her skull. the two were not yet in sight; he had gone a far way, her son. the relief she felt at discovering him again was now threatened by who he had found in the remains of ironsea, and she would not let it happen again.
