Their prowess is potent and secretly stern - Simmik - August 16, 2019

She snuck from the borders of the lake, turning back to glare before taking off into a run. She had gotten in trouble again for some dumb reason, and so she had taken off the second she saw an opportunity. She was always getting in trouble, and she was growing increasingly annoyed by it. Why couldn't they just let her do whatever she wanted? She could handle herself.

In her sulking, she hadn't realized the meadow at first, but the fluttering of an insect near her face made her pause and look around. There were so many colors and flowers for as far as she could see; she had never seen anything like it. Another butterfly landed on a flower in front of her, and she jumped towards it, taking off after it when it took flight again. She leaped in the air and snapped her little teeth at it but never got quite close enough. She was stubborn, though, and would chase the butterfly until she either caught it or lost it.

RE: Their prowess is potent and secretly stern - Amun - August 16, 2019

*Invades*
Amun needed to get out of the Woods, if just for a little while. He liked his new home. More importantly, he liked the company there whom he'd met, and was more than a little excited to meet everyone in the pack. As far as the young wolf was concerned, they were family. He would do his best to provide whatever he could for all of them.

But...
Blackfeather Woods were dark. They were rather a dismal place to live, the ever-present chorus of ravens and crows interrupting his dreams in the night. Amun knew little of the rich history it held, nor did he know the cave systems that sat beneath his new home. All he knew was that he enjoyed sun bathing, and there was nowhere in the entire Woods to do so.

So he had walked for two days. And then, after crossing a small mountainous region, he found his sanity. There were wildflowers everywhere. A rabbit fled from him, fat in the afternoon from clover. Though he knew not the eponym of Wapun Valley, he was reminded of the dawn at once in spite of the hour.

Amun spotted a young she-wolf chasing a butterfly. She was a lovely little thing, the sun shining off her white fur. Clearly a pup of the past season, he wondered where she hailed from. Amun gave a light huff and trotted with a spark in his step toward her. He could hear the snapping of her teeth in the air. The warmth he felt and the scent of grass about him made him gleeful - and stupid.

The chuff made her jump, and she turned on the stranger with hackles raised and teeth bared. But just as quickly, she composed herself, not wanting to look like she was at all scared. She wasn't scared; he had just startled her.

Standing tall, she studied him with a shrewd gaze, eyes narrowing after a few seconds. Why are you here? she asked. He didn't smell like her pack, and she had never seen him before, so why was he so close to her home? Another intake of scent told her that he smelled like others, and she grew a little curious about the fact that there might be other packs nearby. She kept up her assertive posture, though, sure she looked intimidating.
