A Warm Welcome - Mal - September 15, 2019
He was barely in what would be called the territory. The smelly, bubbly water was at a good distance as he curved around the north edge of it. The subdued shakes of the earth had put him on edge. And whatever drama happened in the other threads probably didn't help. Maybe he was dreaming. It was all some nightmare out to get him. The world was unhappy but Mal was sure it wasn't at him. It was revenge against the others.
His fur seemed unable to lay flat across his back, staying in a slight bristle as the nervy youth prowled along. His nostrils flared -- he had been following a rabbit, but yet again he was distracted. The distant noises of the world kept setting him on edge -- something was a little too rumbling or out of place and he paused and waited. But nothing else came. Maybe he was dreaming. Mal paused and exhaled sharply. Return to normal, he mentally demanded.
