highwaymen - Dorea - September 16, 2019 She had rested, been sheltered, been fed and now it was her time to return the favor. Her form weaseled from the heart of the pack to the outskirts. By this point in her life she was familiar with patrols. Or she had at least seen adults do them before. She aimed to give it a go herself. The Quark movedĀ about with the occasional stop as she marked where others had before. It seemed like easy enough work. Although that meant she was bound to get bored of it sometime soon. Or perhaps distracted... RE: highwaymen - Keyni - September 17, 2019 Keyni was an observant wolf. Even if she didn't always thrust herself in the middle of the action, you could bet that she would be watching from a distance. She had noticed a few more wolves had been accepted into the pack. Seeing them only in passing, or just by coming across only their scent, the opportunity to interact had not yet presented itself. Until today. She was most intrigued about the four month old youngster, the newest addition. It was unheard of for pups to stray from their natal pack at this age, of their own free will. Unless a certain set of very pressing circumstances forced them. Keyni made no assumptions about the child, other than that she could not be related to the other children in the sanctuary. While Dorea was attempting to patrol, Keyni by contrast, was perched on a lone rock. Jade eyes turned skywards, with a far away look in their depths. Her expression though, was not one of peace. Her soft brows were furrowed, lips pursed in a contemplative frown. Change was here...and it was not good. RE: highwaymen - Dorea - September 19, 2019 The woman was well hid on the stone with her dusty colors. It was not until Dorea squinted a bit and figured out there was some life to that rock that it dawned on her there was a wolf. Not entirely aware of it, she practically copied the woman. Brows furrowed, frowning and looking up to the top of the rock. A few beats of silence passed until the Quark decided she had lurked enough. What are you looking at?Typically such a question from Dorea was usually sharp and pointed. Today the words held only curiosity. The shifting of the earth had not been entirely ignored by the child but she didn't know much about them. Not enough to know that perhaps she ought to be more worried like the older woman. Nor was the earth even on her mind, as the two of them looked up above. |
