With the final pieces in place, the earth-toned behemoth made his way to the stone where he had appointed it to become the meeting grounds for the pack of villains he had gathered in the past few months. At the top of the large moss-covered boulder, overlooking the small gathering below, Alison had followed him to the top of the boulder, the woman standing quietly at his side as she waited for him to do what the leader does best - call for the pack, as his voice was likely the one they would answer. Lifting his head to the heavens, he let out a long, mournful song, deep and dark in melodies as it played with the mist that swirled around his muzzle, breaking its peaceful stride as he struck the air while calling the members once again - this time, for a more pleasant meeting. Even so, the trembling of the earth was still tugging at the back of his mind, that was not what this meeting was about. He would still give them enough time to gather as much information as possible about it, though would welcome some news should some have already gathered some in haste. For now, he waited for his call to be answered. Crimson eyes watching the shadows to give anyone who came briefly moment of his attention. He would not wait long for everyone to come. Should they dawdle, they would miss out on what was to come. RE: Baby take my hand, don't fear the reaper - Valour - September 17, 2019 The call from Vengeance was sudden and it had halted his stride toward the borders. He had decided to set out again to see if he could find anything interesting about the ground growling but now he would have to wait. Quickly he changed his course and went straight for the meeting area, arriving as the first to heed Vengeance's call which he figured would make him look all the more worthy of that ego boosting title of Alpha pup. He looked at the woman at his Mentor's side almost jealously, silver eyes narrowing for a moment before he sat down and gave Vengeance his silent attention expression attentive to his new leader. RE: Baby take my hand, don't fear the reaper - Serem - September 17, 2019 The earth was quiet at the moment and the dark raven wondered how long the peace would last. She noticed the prey had gone not all yet but a vast majority had and couldn’t help but fear for the upcoming winter. But regardless of how she felt the dark woman kept her composure and continued as usual. She he had been lingering when she heard the loud howl that came from their leader. She was quick to get to the location where the howl had came from and looked at both Vengeance and Alison briefly. It had to be important if they all had been called and the female silently waited for everyone to arrive. RE: Baby take my hand, don't fear the reaper - Radar - September 17, 2019 The small female was doing her best to keep busy and out of sight. Keeping to herself as much as possible, hunting for the caches and walking the borders and occasionally learning to fight from her companion. Radar heard the call and went to see what the commotion was all about. She made haste so that she wouldn’t make a bad impression; especially if she were to be the last one to show up. RE: Baby take my hand, don't fear the reaper - Merrick - September 17, 2019 it was the nightwalkers' trail that had led the yearling pair from the coast by which they had laid their wickedness. while some part of merrick was loathe to disembark from such a path, vengeance promised something new to capture the heart.
the trembling had grown more violent, and now the boy traveled with guard hairs raised along his spine, teeth quick to bare toward the promise of any slight danger. he pressed more diligently to astara. they arrived as vengeance's dark aria poured into the air, and merrick grew cold to be in a large company once more. but his eyes fixed to the leader, their warlord, and he waited to see if the promise made would be fulfilled. RE: Baby take my hand, don't fear the reaper - Vanity - September 18, 2019 Vanity was quick and light on ger feet, but only to find information. She wasn’t running to the mans side.
She surveyed the gathering, letting herself casually take a place near to that...pup. She didn’t know what it was doing here but she could sure use one to teach about the dead. She had to go to the mountains soon, find a sutiable place to give her love to those fallen, and those who will not be forgotten. Her gaze turned to Vengeance, expectant. She knew what he wanted: the Nightwalkers were real. Their presence had grown considerably and there was little chance of them not being noticed now. RE: Baby take my hand, don't fear the reaper - Black Hat - September 18, 2019 Black Hat was catching up on sleep under his usual weeping tree when Vengeance's summoning howl rang. Groggily, he lifted his head towards the Warlord's call, fighting to keep his eyes open. Sleep would just have to keep escaping him, he supposed, dragging his tail to the meeting place.
He expected Vengeance to be on the boulder, obviously, but not the fire-pelted woman beside him. He didn't even know what her name was. Either he forgot or was never given it in the first place. Regardless, it irked him to see someone already taking a place beside the Warlord who wasn't him. When he looked at her, all he saw was someone who could potentially get in his way. Black Hat made a mental note to approach her at some point. He needed to get to know her better and learn the details of her relationship with Vengeance. He didn't let any of this show on his face though, and his look was but a glance before he turned to see who else was here. There were several new faces, which he would bet was at least part of the reason for this meeting. The Nightwalkers were becoming a prominent force — and fast. Radar was among the early crowd, which came as a surprise to him, but it was a pleasant one. She was becoming more independent, more diligent. Good. He gave her a small nod from his place before turning his attention forwards again. RE: Baby take my hand, don't fear the reaper - RIP Tzila - September 18, 2019 Tzila was not surprised when she heard the booming howl of Vengeance, calling the Nightwalkers together. She and likely every other wolf within these woods, had known such a meeting was coming. Her cold eyes narrowed, a cruel smirk playing at her lips. Time to meet the family... Shaking out her fur, she abandoned her patrol of the borders, but not before kicking her hind paws at the soil, to spread her scent. She would return to the outskirts of the forest later, where another day she could scour the land for evidence of destruction. The tremors rocking the earth had her on high alert, but far from panicked. Arriving at the designated meeting grounds, she was pleased to see that she was not the last in line to arrive. She stalked forwards slowly, with a quiet confidence in her step. Her adrenaline was running high, but she kept up the balancing act of hiding her true emotions. Her face was neutral, muzzle smoothed, lacking any trace of smirk. But her eyes told another story. In their depths, glimmered barely restrained ferocity, with the promise of unspeakable sins. All who were gathered she spared a passing once over, except Vengeance. It was he, who she locked eyes with, boldly. Knowingly. She chose a spot in full view of her Leader and waited, patiently. RE: Baby take my hand, don't fear the reaper - Wurha - September 19, 2019 wurha is one of the last to arrive, but she does so with blood and fur smeared liberally across her chest and muzzle. there is reason for her delay, and she feels no shame in it as she allows her gaze to move once over those assembled. finding none save the man from the borders interesting enough to warrant an investigation at that moment, she remains where she stands, gaze on him. the woman at his side sparks envy, but she bids it rest; that woman will not hold her place long. RE: Baby take my hand, don't fear the reaper - Alison - September 23, 2019 short post between classes
Alison followed the beast to the clearing, his call a booming echo beaconing those from the fog to move forward. As each face appeared, new and old, she was aware of the eyes that burned into her pelt, but she would not falter. Surely they had questions, most had likely seen her lurking, but the majority probably did not even know her name. That's ok, they would know soon enough. Amongst the others, Alice stood a firey beacon in the night waiting for Vengeance to start.
RE: Baby take my hand, don't fear the reaper - Vengeance - September 24, 2019 One week is up! This is round 2! Feel free to post or be skipped, in one week if you haven’t posted, you will be skipped!
One by one everyone came in, some took longer than others but it was to be expected with the size of the territory and how it was just announced out of nowhere. Everyone remained silent as they came in, all eyes were onto him, looking for the reason why they had all gathered here - though he was certain there was one news that they all knew was coming; and he would start with that. ”This will be our first meeting as a full fledged pack. As Nightwalkers, you will now be handed out ranks. For those who have just joined, you will be grunts for two months since you’ve joined; after that you will be soldiers until you found your place higher up. I have two ranks to hand out, Serem is our first Sergeant” Naturally so, seeing as how long she has been around and how diligent of a member she has been since day one. ”And the second rank goes to Alison here, as my General.” And there it was, the target had been painted on all three of them. Vengeance as the leader, Alison as the General, and Serem taking up the first second tier rank. ”This also means that those who are going around searching for more information about the trembling; that I want you to introduce us to the packs you come across. Get their name, location, and introduce us as open to take in any jobs they offer - for a price. Once finished, report back to me of what packs are where.” He didn’t have to explain as to why he wanted such information right off the bat. Should they be a force to be recognized and feared, they had to know about the other packs in the area as much as possible. ”Finally.” as he was coming to an end to his speech - this was a lot of talking, something he had to get use to than to be saying the bare minimum and simply letting his actions speak for him instead. ”We have our first ally. Moonspear and the Nightwalkers are officially allies, although I cannot send you out just yet to familiarize yourself with them, be aware that any wolf until further notice who proclaim Hydra as their Alpha are not to be hunted or bothered. Should you risk our alliance with Moonspear, you will be punished swiftly; any other pack is not safe under our alliance laws, so feel free to continue pestering them as you please. Does anyone have anything to add while we are all gathered here.” The final was a formality, with all that needed to be shared out in the air, he left it open for anyone else to speak up - otherwise, they were all free to go. RE: Baby take my hand, don't fear the reaper - Merrick - October 01, 2019 vengeance spoke. merrick was impressed with how quickly the nightwalkers had made their peace with this hydra. alliances would solidify them for the winter, he hoped. while the prospect of hunting through the snows with astara alone was attractive, the boy's logical mind was pragmatic. two yearlings without a pack's support would surely struggle, if not outright starve.
and then there was the matter of the rumbling. shifting, he nuzzled into the dark fur of his nightshade's cheek, tossing her an encouraging grin before facing front with an attentive nod to their leader. vengeance's assignment gave an excuse to wander, to explore. to search for indra. |
