did i play my songs too loud? - Zephyr - October 09, 2019

@Atwood aaa sorry for the wait + short post, been a bit low on zeph muse He follows the other boy toward the mountains, only slowing to a halt when he sees his companion doing the same. The thundering sound seems to have followed him, yet the frantic herd is nowhere to be seen, so he decides to trust the other boy's judgment. He has already learned that sometimes he can only decipher what is real through cues from those around him, so it doesn't bother him much. He's panting hard as he draws up alongside the stranger, launching into a coughing fit as soon as he comes to a halt. His throat stings with the force of it, already dry and aching slightly, and the feeling brings tears to his eyes. Embarrassment quickly heats his ears, but he can't seem to stop it, no matter how much he wants to.

no worries! i have been largely absent as well haha

they manage to avoid being crushed to death, which is a positive start. the pounding in atwood's ears has yet to dwindle, his breath coming in short bursts as they finally stop moveming, safely out from the threat of hooves. the boy he's inadvertently joined with doubles over coughing, breaking through atwood's adrenaline rush.

taking a deep, shuddering breath, he turns toward the other boy and says "are you okay?"
