You can't pick up chicks in a tank - Warlock - October 15, 2019 It was late in the day when Spook wandered to the borders. He'd pretty much avoided them since everything went down, it had to be less secure out there, regardless of earthquakes. But no, today as light was starting to fade, and perhaps he would have enjoyed the colors of the sky, but instead he just focused on the still billowing, distant cloud. It caught the light, shimmered, morphed. Like many things, it sent a shiver up his spine. His ears tipped back and he turned away, jogging along the borders. He wasn't really checking them, wasn't marking them, just running along out of some sort of need to do something but uncertainty making him choose nothing. How did he make this world stop being so crazy? Was it even possible? RE: You can't pick up chicks in a tank - Pike - October 27, 2019 oops. no way was today getting less crazy, not if i was posting with pike. pike was kind of patrolling. he promised their parents that he would practice and keep the pack safe -- but it seemed like the borders were the least of their concern. like... what was he gonna do about the stupid earth shaking? yell at it? well, he'd already tried that and it hadn't worked. so he was kind of out of options. but he spotted spook coming the opposite direction and got real excited, his tail wiggling and a waggling. HEY!he yelled out to his brother, skidding to a halt and turning so they could face the same direction. why'd'ya look so grumpy?he asked, half concerned half making fun of him. RE: You can't pick up chicks in a tank - Warlock - October 28, 2019 Spook totally had to wonder if Pike just missed the whole doom and gloom brought upon them all. Perhaps Spook was just more sensitive to it. His ears rotated out sideways as his brother crashed on in, obviously expecting this to end with him chewed on, run over, and other such things. Such was life. Still, he'd try to convince Pike of the err in his ways, Stuff is all wrong! Maybe whatever's wrong is gonna come over here next. I dunno how to stop it, do you? There wasn't really a way for him to explain the reason behind the earthquakes, behind the volcano, behind things just seeming off (aka the lack of prey, which probably wasn't as obvious to them as kids as it was the adults). Could their parents fix it somehow? What if it did come to them? It gave him a rather large concern. |
