she wasn't given wings to see the world from a tree - Solaris - November 11, 2019

Ba-dum.

Ba-dum.

Ba-dum.

The rhythmic, deafening beat of her heart sang a song of mechanical perfection as she danced about the woodland, feet set ablaze as they fled a scene of chaos. A bear, worn thin from lack of prey, had set it's sights on the healthy wraith, no doubt desperate to fill the void starvation had left behind.

Unfortunately for the grizzly, the sylph was a phantom in a sea of leaves and had slipped away before the beast could even close the distance between them. But oh how entertaining it would have been to witness such a regal creature be made so s m a l l during these harsh times. To tease, to flaunt.

A part of her, sadistically, wished to turn around and give way to her savage thoughts.

RE: she wasn't given wings to see the world from a tree - Maegi - November 13, 2019

Unfortunately for Maegi, she was much more visible to a hungry grizzly bear. She stuck out like a sore thumb in the brown fall foliage, and was perhaps spared only the ursine's wrath by her meandering trail. The other wolf was camouflaged well, though, and she was nearly upon the woman before her scent hit the Nona's flared nostrils.

Who's there? she called out, brows knitted together. She could make out some movement within the trees, but nothing concrete. She was too on-edge to let the potential threat slide, though. This place wasn't terribly close to home. . .but it was close enough, and she'd rather rule out something lurking here than not.
