drip drip drip - Galileo - August 03, 2014 @Shadow :P
hope you're up for short posts
Summer was coming to an end. And Galileo was making the most of the sunny days left ,snoozing under the warm rays of the sun was good, but taking a dip while the sun shined above you was the best. That was exactly was he set out to do that afternoon. RE: drip drip drip - Shadow - August 03, 2014 Summer was coming to an end and Shadow decided to go exploring again. He wandered out of Swiftcurrent Creek and into nowhere. Or what he thought as nowhere. After sometime of wandering he saw a creek from a distance and decided to stop for a moment and rest. He approached it and lapped up some water before turning to explore again. Then he noticed a wolf sitting by the water's edge. The ashen male took in his scent, he was another Swiftcurrent Creek wolf though one that he seemingly had not met yet but heard from the other wolves. Galileo? He approached him and sat down beside him. "Hey." RE: drip drip drip - Galileo - August 03, 2014
Slowly he waded into the water, until he was sumerged up to his knees. He allowed the coolness of the water to embrace his toes before beginning to waltz along the silver carpet that was the creek. RE: drip drip drip - Shadow - August 03, 2014 A small smile graced the ashen male's face, he had taken a liking to the older wolf immediately, he always seemed to be in a good mood and was helpful. Something that could not be said about himself, but he took the older wolf's offer and waded into the creek until the silvery water reached his knees. He had not once exchanged a single word with Galileo in his pack life but was glad to finally meet him face to face. "So how's your day?" he asked conversationally as he sat down in the water, allowing the wet coolness to seep through his fur. The water now covered half of his body and for the first time in many days, Shadow felt relaxed. The quiet flow of the creek soothed his nerves like exploring usually did except it did not require any energy at all. He swiped his tail around his paws and grinned at the older wolf. Shadow was happy to oblige to his offer and Galileo was even happier to have a chance to get to know him a bit better. Only Danica, Leaf and Bazi had made it onto his friend list, he hoped he could add a male to that list now. RE: drip drip drip - Shadow - August 05, 2014 "Great," replied the younger silver male as the cool water soaked through his fur. "You do know my name, don't you Shadow? So the older male did know his name, wonderful. He didn't need to do the awkward introducing session. "Yeah, Galileo right?" The ashen male rose to his paws, his gray pelt dripping, soaked with water. "What were you doing here?" he asked curiously, he knew that the older wolf probably did not wish to be an outrider so he wouldn't be exploring like he was. Perhaps he was just enjoying the cool waters and the sun on his back. RE: drip drip drip - Galileo - August 05, 2014
It was easy to see the boy was not one to hide his emotions. Galileo could read the tranquility clearly in his eyes. That was good. An honest friend was what he needed now. The smile that had taken over his face only became wider as he listened his name coming from the boy's lips. RE: drip drip drip - Shadow - August 05, 2014 "Just enjoying the last days of summer kiddo, and you?" the ashen male was not offended, he usually hated people calling him a kid but he would let that rest for now. It was too good a day to start an argument when they were just peacefully relaxing in the water. A small part of him wondered how the older wolf had known his name, at least he wasn't a nobody anymore. Bazi had told him Galileo's name when they had gone scouting, something about counseling but that didn't matter now. "I was just exploring and saw this lovely creek here so I decided to rest for a bit," Shadow got up, shook out some droplets of water from his fur, his gaze wandering wearily. Exploring. Galileo had done his fair share of exploring when he was young. In d¿fact it could be said that his whole life had just been a bog exploration trip. When he had turned a year olf, his father had kicked him and his brother into the world. Then the peppered male had encountered a small family-based group of wolves that accepted him temporarily. It had been then that he had met the love of her life, that would later end up also kicking him out. RE: drip drip drip - Shadow - August 07, 2014 "Do you know any packs aside from the Creek?", the silver male thought about it for sometime before nodding slowly. When he explored, he usually did not care to remember the packs he'd crossed but on few trips, some pack wolves he met had told him.
"Yeah, I know a few. Other than The Sunspire of course." he smirked. "All Swiftcurrent Creek wolves should know that pack" He sat down again, awaiting the male's response. RE: drip drip drip - Galileo - August 09, 2014
Galileo waited for him to begin listing the numerous packs he had come across during his scouting trips. To his surprise the young male didn't tell him anything new. The Sunspire, despite all the problems and rivalry, was a pack that just like every other was filled with nice and not-so nice individuals. RE: drip drip drip - Shadow - August 10, 2014 "Which others?" Galileo insisted. The silver wanderer turned his gaze from the mountains looming in the horizon back to the peppered male.
RE: drip drip drip - Galileo - August 10, 2014 pretty table *o*
The reason the salt & pepper male kept urging the young male to give him an answer was because his curiosity was kindling inside his heart like a gasoline fueled fire. He wanted to know what other wolves laid out there, what other families had built their home on the Teekon Wilds. RE: drip drip drip - Shadow - August 11, 2014 Ikr, thanks to Natalie for it. :)
"I just think it's good to be aware of what lives beyond the creek", the silver wanderer tilts his head, a brief smile on his lips.
RE: drip drip drip - Galileo - August 11, 2014
The life of an explorer. RE: drip drip drip - Shadow - August 11, 2014 "Who doubts your loyalty? Wanderlust must not be mistaken with treachery" said the older male with a shake of his head. He smiled slightly at Galileo's words. "I think you should do what you please; if you want to stay do it because you want to not to avoid having your loyalties questioned." The silver male laughed softly, The peppered male was older than most and making him one of the counselors was a wise move. Shadow did not doubt the male's potential as one of the council members. RE: drip drip drip - Galileo - August 12, 2014
For once the fact that he was an old dawned on him. When he had acquiered that much wisdom was unknown to him. Still he felt glad his heartfelt advice was appreciated by the young explorer. He offered him a smile as he recieved the kind words he gave him in turn for his piece of advice. RE: drip drip drip - Shadow - August 12, 2014 "Thank you, Shadow. Though remember explorers are also a pack's blessing" The ashen male smiled,
He got up and shook the water out of his fur as best as he could. Though he probably wasn't dry yet with his paws and underbelly still under the water. A flicker of amusement went through the young explorer's face. RE: drip drip drip - Galileo - August 13, 2014 loved threading w/ you
Maybe he was right. Maybe counseling was for him --not only because he was old but because he made decisions with a cool head and unlike others he thought his words before they were said. Perhaps Bazi had seen that in him and thus decided to make him a Council Member. The old male smiled and wagged his tail underneath the water. RE: drip drip drip - Shadow - August 13, 2014 Same, :) Last post from me.
"Right behind you" as he got up and walked to the edge of the Creek. The silver wanderer was shaking his fur as dry as it could become and began trotting towards the direction of the Creek. The Creek wolves would have a future, a better one with Bazi as the leader. Fox was too rash and stubborn and selfish but Bazi cared about the Creek like a family. With the help of the counsellors, especially Galileo, they would become the strong pack they were before. A new future awaited the wolves of the Creek, like a new adventure awaited the silver wanderer tomorrow. A new day for everyone to make mistakes and achievements. A new day would always come. |
