he walked out of nowhere, toward nowhere - Illidan - December 09, 2019 winter had come in and settled over the wilds with a frightening, eerie presence. even the disaster that had struck the oceanside had not had the same ghostly sense that this did. in the fog, he trailed along the edge of the cliffs with one eye to the sea and one eye to the dangerous stone. his figure was disheveled and ragged in its appearance. illidan appeared not to have eaten for several days – ribs jutting from his sides, cheeks hallow and gaunt – but somehow, he still continued to move on. there was a fear in approaching the sound. something within him that begged him to turn away from his previous home and venture into the wilds to seek shelter elsewhere. the scents that had once existed abundantly along the shores had long since faded. the ghost of a boy wondered what would be left of his home. he gritted his teeth against the fear that bubbled up in his stomach, urging him back from where he came. RE: he walked out of nowhere, toward nowhere - Aiolos - December 11, 2019 At the bluff, the cliff was sheer, so much so that navigating downward to the ocean from here seemed a near impossible feat. Down there was only ocean, anyhow. No beach, no rolling hills. Aiolos, having left the sanctuary of the Vale once more to visit the seaside, had taken a different route this time. A poor one, apparently. As did the coywolf, Olo moved to the east as he had before, to double check to make sure nothing was worth wild until he was able to travel further to the west. Ahead, he saw the black headed wolf. His auburn ears perked with curiosity and he quickened his pace. Ma'am?He called out and, as the salty winds brought forth the scent of the male, he stopped suddenly in his tracks. Ah... um, sorry. Thought you were someone else.Alas, it was not the same black headed woman he had met near here before. Quite a coincidence though, their looks and all.... RE: he walked out of nowhere, toward nowhere - Illidan - December 14, 2019 a call sounded from behind him, though it did not seem to be addressing illidan. not until he spun around and realized that this stranger had been beckoning him by mistake. the ghost stood at the edge of the cliffs with a wild-eyed expression. the fur along his neck and spine seemed to dance with the cold winds that brushed through it. after several long moments, his dry lips parted, and a haggard breath escaped from his mouth. the russet ears atop his crown cupped toward the other wolf with urgency, feeling something akin to a flood wash through him. this beast had seen her – caiaphas – and this meant that she was very much alive. “where?” the ghost demanded in a gruff tone. there was little patience left in him for trivial things. illidan sought to find her as quickly as he could. he would find her, and he would return her to rusalka where she was made to lead. they would retake the sound and make it their own again. first, he needed to gather the information that this wolf carried. for the first time since arriving on them, illidan stepped away from the edge of the cliffs and toward the wanderer who had beckoned him. "where did you see her?" RE: he walked out of nowhere, toward nowhere - Aiolos - December 16, 2019 The other wolf's expression was wide eyed as he turned to face him. He took a breath, his red ears perked forth and Aiolos' own mimicked him. Where? The yearling then demanded of him, causing Aiolos to be further off guard by him. Aiolos jaw visibly tightened, unhappy with the demand in his tone but decided to hear the young wolf out. It was clear he was desperate and concerned. He might not have been the woman Olo thought her to be yet it was obvious he knew her. They were kin, then, and given the male's youth there was a good change he was her son, or even grandson, should one of her first litter producted quickly at their second year. The Nereides siren?Aiolos aimed to confirm yet whether or not the young wolf gave him that confirmation, Aiolos continued on. The Sound. She was on a mission she said, but who or what it was I do not know. It wasnt there though. The lands have been abandoned due to the quakes, so I can save you the trouble if you too were headed there. |
