wildflowers - Shadow - August 06, 2014

The silver male wandered towards a part of the valley that he had not discovered yet, the meadow blanketed by wildflowers was alive with bright colors and exotic scents. Though fading slightly at the near end of summer. He looked around, eyes bright with amazement at this place wondering how he had ever missed such a place before.

He sniffed at a wildflower and chuckled softly, he had never seen such a beautiful place in his life and was content to stay here for a while. Now knowing where this place was located, he was sure to wander here again in the warmer seasons.

Unknowingly he had walked towards the middle of the meadow towards a creek, the ashen male dipped his muzzle into the water, relaxing. The cool water, the shining sun and the meadow brought a feeling of calmness on the male.

All the threads!

The meadow was a place he enjoyed, having only recently found it he already decided it was a favourite sight of his. It was also close enough to the swiftcurrent wolves that he had little worry of being harassed by members if his pack. He had descended to the meadow shortly after his altercation with Kipling, the lambda left him with a decent, albeit treatable, wound on his back leg.

He was lounging near the creek, having spent some time tending to his wound in some fashion as well as inwardly trying to place the blame for the recent events in his life on someone, or something. When the silver male approached the opposite side of his resting spot, the halfbreed almost froze, watching. He's spent enough time away from the spire lately that he wouldn't be stinking of the mountain, however he recognised the scent of a swiftcurrent immediately. When the wolf did nothing except drink from the creek, Fang let out a soft sigh, relief, or resignation. Figures. I come here to avoid my pack, and one of you lot would show up. Despite his irritation, he tried to carry a light-hearted tone. He was in no shape mentally, or physically for another altercation.

The silver male raised his head from the water as a voice rang out, he turned his gaze towards its source and saw, saw the wolf from The Sunspire. His first instinct was to bare his fangs and leap at the other wolf but restrained himself, instead sat down. "Figures. I come here to avoid my pack, and one of you lot would show up." said the halfbreed. Avoid his pack? Why would he do that?

"And I came here to relax and of course one of you lot from the mountains just had to come and ruin it." though his words were biting, his tone did not hold any hostility. The wolf was weary of the fighting and this was neutral territory, if he didn't have to fight, he chose not to.

RE: wildflowers - Fang - August 06, 2014

For the brief moment Fang watched, the half-smile appeared on his features. He shook his head in the negative slightly before shuffling his bulk around the edge of the stream. Finishing his readjustment he let one of his fore-paws touch the cool water as he sized up the male before him.

He let out a small bark of a laugh. Comes with the territory, live up on the mountain, ruin shit. It's what they do. He rolled his shoulders in a shrug as if dismissing it like an everyday fact. And whose day am I ruining now? He did his best to keep his tone light. Despite the lack of playfulness that usually hang around him.

"Comes with the territory, live up on the mountain, ruin shit. It's what they do." the male stared into the creek's waters, his own platinum eyes staring back. The halfbreed seemed to have a hard time keeping his tone light and there was something that he couldn't identify that hung around the halfbreed.

"They?" he questioned, "Aren't you in their pack too? I saw you when Ferdie returned Leaf and Magpie. You were with them, no?" it was harder to keep his tone light and without hostility now. He had known and met both wolves, the fiery Fox look alike and the young black juvenile and anger still coursed through him whenever he thought about them. Though it was all Fox's fault, leaving the two wolves to The Sunspire and running away herself, not even going back to the Creek instead running away to another pack.

RE: wildflowers - Fang - August 06, 2014

He couldn't help but frown when the silver beast pointed out that he was in fact part of the sunspire pack. Inwardly he'd admit he no longer wished to be, or even was for that fact. The frown was replaced by a thoughtful expression as he let out a soft 'hmm' contemplating the best way to get across what he wanted to. Yeah, I was there for that. ..Incident. That was the beginning of the end, I think He spoke with a tone of indifference, as if he were just explaining which way the wind was blowing. You know, I've heard stories of my kind, they get locked up, dragged around, generally humiliated. But in saying that, they also get shelter, food, and looked after really well. ..I've heard they stay because it's just easier than trying to leave.

He nodded, as if that summed up everything, although saying it aloud helped him admit it made sense. I Also get the feeling I won't be welcome back after today. A smirk spread over his face as he gave a slight nod of his head toward his wounded leg, still caked in dried blood from his earlier altercation. Not that he really cared at this stage, there was very little at the spire keeping the half-breed there.

"I Also get the feeling I won't be welcome back after today." The silver male listened to the half breed wondering why on earth would he not be welcomed back today. The explanation about domestic dogs did not seem to explain this situation at all, just a mere factual lesson so he was confused. But his face remained in the same smile, tilting his head sideways.

"But aren't you wolf too? Your kind can't only be dogs can it?" asked Shadow. "And why aren't you welcomed at The Sunspire?" hopefully he wasn't being too intrusive. He did not wish to be.

RE: wildflowers - Fang - August 06, 2014

he couldn't help but offer a shrug at the question of being only part wolf, it seems his point was lost in the swift current male, maybe he needed to speak slower. He let out a deep breath as he thought on the more pertinent question. He had already let out the built up anger from earlier so he wasn't beyond humouring the males questions. Well, after that incident with taking your pack-mates, Ferdie and I never saw Eye-to-eye. Quite the opposite in fact. He spoke with genuine amusement, it was a great hobby of his, pissing off that vain bastard, of course It didn't help the half breed had been an insufferable, insubordinate twat since then either.

He paused for a moment, unsure how much to, divulge, or leave out, as the case might be. With that in mind, I had a run-in with. ..one of the others, and the reason Ferdie was keeping me around seems to have debunked itself, so he has no use for me anymore. That and he doesn't trust me. The amused expression stayed in his face throughout the explanation, despite the reason he was kept around was to keep Red in line, and she of course was no longer speaking with him for reasons he didn't understand, all of which he left unspoken.

"Okay," he simply said, shrugging slightly. He turned his gaze towards the horizon and sighed. What was going to happen to the Creek now, with Njal and Tuwawi leaving with their pups and all the other things going on with the pack.

RE: wildflowers - Fang - August 06, 2014

Okay? Mentally shrugging off the silver males dismissive attitude towards his story he watched him for a moment. He'd have thought the male would be interested to hear the discourse evident in sun spire, or at the least take evil delight in someone tormenting the perpetrator of recent drama for his pack. Apparently not.

He put aside further concerns about the males lack of enthusiasm, he wasn't ready to get up and limp off just yet, so he might humour the swiftcurrent wolf for a while longer. Here I am boring you with my antics, so tell me, how have your brethren faired since that whole messy affair? He was genuinely curious, especially now seen as he had recently found himself out of home, so to speak.

Here I am boring you with my antics, so tell me, how have your brethren faired since that whole messy affair? asked the halfbreed. The silver prince turned to look at the other male again, a half amused look look on his face. His eyes guarded and the black tip of his tail nervously flicking. "Wouldn't that mean spilling all my pack's secrets to a rival pack?"

A smirk rose to the ashen male's lips, "And that would be disloyal which in turn would get me kicked out of the pack. I do not have a death wish, thank you very much."

Shadow stared at him thoughtfully, "I'll tell you this though, wolves are moving." He knew it did not make any sense, but that was the point after all.

RE: wildflowers - Fang - August 06, 2014

Raising an eyebrow at his words, he wasn't entirely sure if it was insult directed at hmm having just explained the situation he was in. He shuffled on he creek bed readjusting himself again, a small wince visible when he finally moved the wounded leg. He had been doing well not to irritate it so far. A deep breath escaped before he responded to the males vague recital As much as I respect your loyalty, I'm hardly a threat from the big bad mountain wolves. Not that it matters.

The pain in his leg stood to remind him why he was talking to this creature, he would have risen and left by now, the male wasn't very forthcoming it seemed. You, know, you never told me your name. I'm Fang. His tail gave a soft tap on the ground behind his frame.

"You, know, you never told me your name. I'm Fang." said the halfbreed, his tail thumping against the ground once. "Fang," said the silver male, testing the name out before grinning at him. "That name suits you, you know" he said, nodding at Fang. That name did suit the halfbreed, he wasn't kidding.

"I'm Shadow," he replied, his tail thumping the earth behind him slowly. "So, Fang, are you going yet? Back to The Sunspire?" the silver prince asked, his tone light. He wondered whether or not the halfbreed would go, the sun was setting casting a beautiful glow over the meadow and night would be on them soon.

RE: wildflowers - Fang - August 06, 2014

Unf your table is beautiful ;-;

A small grin split is face at the comment of his affectation, he'd never given much thought to the name he'd been called his while life. The question of returning to the spire wiped the grin away. No. It was a flat response, he had no need or desire to return, and with the day progressing the added time it took him to travel wouldn't be worth the effort, or pain. the nights are Warm, I'll find someplace nearby. The fact was, he was comfortable occupying the meadow for now, and the longer he spent in theses of flowers the more the scent of the spire faded.

No, Shadow my friend. I will be staying around for some time I imagine.

Credits to Java (Njal) for the table. I suck at making them. xD

"No, Shadow my friend. I will be staying around for some time I imagine." said Fang, it was obvious that the halfbreed did not wish to go back to The Sunspire, it seemed that he no longer thought of it as home. The silver wolf watched the sun set over the horizon, casting faint glows over the meadow and turning them gold.

The ashen male dipped his muzzle into the water again, drinking slowly before lifting his head up again. He should return to the Creek soon, after the sky was fully dark. The company of another wolf, the company of a rival pack wolf was just too good to miss. And the rare thing was, they weren't fighting.

gonna fade here feel free to post a reply or just archive it now. up to you. Thanks for the thread, if you want to do another one anytime just tag me in

The halfbreed opted to sit in silence, the slow transition of evening to night would creep on them in its fashion. Despite the unspoken agreement, and inclination that himself and the swift current creek wolf were in some easy truce, he didn't wish to lift himself up and limp away. He didn't trust the silver male that much, and expected no less from him had their roles been reversed.

After some time he assumed Shadow would be returning to his home lands. A sly grin spread over his features as he offered a comment, ensuring he heard it before he left. Won't you give my regards to Bazi? His request was genuine, and sincere, once he had spoken he opted to lower his head to the earth alongside his paws. For now he'd rest here a while longer until the other male was long gone from the meadow.
