朴念仁 | bokunenjin - Mei - December 18, 2019

the sun had just sunk below the horizon, blanketing the wilds in star-spangled darkness. in its place, the moon rose to greet her. its pale light illuminated the watery expanse gently, filling her with a sense of tranquility. though she loved her sisters dearly, mei was a reclusive spirit. sometimes, she craved complete and utter solitude, desiring only the presence of the sea. she laid sprawled in the sea's gentle embrace. the rhythmic lapping of its waves lulled her, but she fought the urge to sleep. her eyes were fixed on the sky, wondering what secrets it would divulge to her.

RE: 朴念仁 | bokunenjin - Cam - December 24, 2019

cam was drawn to the sea. he had been since nieve had described its anger; he wanted to be able to have that intuition for himself. the forest had been quiet lately, with wolves coming and going. even the boy from elysium who'd seemingly lost all his memories was gone. cam was alone a lot.

he padded along in the darkness, a shadow against the sand. the woman was easier to see. his eyes widened as he caught sight of the pale body and dark head, so familiar—

illidan? he called out, pitching his voice to be heard above the rhythmic rush of waves upon shore. he walked toward the wolf, her scent masked by brine. this must be illidan, with that unique appearance he'd never seen before, nor again since. he was a little excited to greet an old acquaintance.

she was shaken from her trance by an unfamiliar voice at her back. jolting, she whipped her head around to face it, nape bristling like sharp icicles. the word he uttered was unfamiliar to her, so she inquired in turn, what? her tone was puzzled but wary. she turned to face him fully, rising to her feet.

RE: 朴念仁 | bokunenjin - Cam - January 03, 2020

it wasn't illidan.

he didn't know the voice that came to him, decidedly feminine, nor did he recognize the piercing blue eyes that cut through the darkness. but wait. . . perhaps he did? he remembered the woman on the beach, of a similar appearance and demeanor.

still, this one seemed different. and so he came closer, abundantly curious. i thought you were someone else, cam explained briefly, shrugging. he stared at her, brows raised. what were you doing?

cam had never seen anyone just resting in the waves like that. it reminded him of his forays to the hot springs, but even that was calmer, without turbulence. the ocean was so fierce (angry, nieve had said); how did one relax within its embrace?

so what he'd uttered was a name. her muscles uncoiled, but she was not totally at ease. she never was, not with strangers. only because he was a child, she sat. he asked another query. enjoying the waves, she curtly answered, frustrated by her inability to weave an elaborate depiction in this foreign tongue. she enjoyed their embrace, yes, but the sea's touch was more than just water; it was a caress from the gods, for the ocean was an extension of their bodies, their power. mei felt closest to them like this, & she oft prayed while swaddled in a blanket of brine.

RE: 朴念仁 | bokunenjin - Cam - January 12, 2020

the waves? the waves seemed quite fearsome, yet she was relaxed. he stepped into the shallows, shivering as the first of many tickled at his ankles, smoothed the sand beneath his paws. he stared at her, slightly in awe. perhaps this woman was more sea creature than anything, despite looking like a wolf.

a silly fancy, but he held onto it, enjoying the idea of her swimming like a fish.

can you swim? cam followed that train of thought, voicing it aloud. like, in the ocean? it was only a matter of time before she chased him away out of irritation.

omg he is so precious, i cry.

maybe it was because his questions pertained to her passions, but she had all the patience in the world for them. of course, she answered with a soft smile painting her dark lips. mei waded deeper into the water and glanced back at the boy. then, she pushed off, feet no longer secured on the sandy floor. they danced in the water, pushing & pulling in smooth circles to propel her lithe body. her tail acted as a rudder, guiding her like a ship.

she paddled back to the boy, though she stopped a fair distance off to shake her pelt of excess water without dousing him. the northern air was frigid, but it was nothing she couldn't handle. what is your name? she asked, sitting back down in her original spot.
