streetcar - Eleuthera - January 02, 2020

A new year had begun, and to Eleuthera, it surely felt so. Suddenly everything was new again — and so many of the things that annoyed her endlessly had somehow found their end. Séamus was back in her life, and her routine and trust in everyday life had return, and she felt more happy and carefree than she had in several of her past months. Compound this with the return of her flesh and soul to the lands of her birth, and Eleuthera was simply vibrating with an energy that was difficult to explain, but made sense when experienced in her body.

Though she nourished herself off of Courtfall’s stores and slept within the safety of their boundaries, her days were spent moving around and charting the mountains; the ones that felt so eternally familiar, yet entirely new at the same time. She knew that the willows of Elysium were to the north, but the lilac woman had very little desire to go visit such a place (knowing what she knew now, and knowing that it was not going to change) and elected to venture south, feeling the earth beneath her paws that she had certainly traversed at least once or twice before, when she was far younger. Séamus had promised that he would not leave these lands come hell or high water, so she felt comfortable straying so far from him. Simply knowing that he existed and was still alive was enough to soothe her and, at the same time, become the fire behind her movements.

When she reached the zenith of the incline she was currently climbing, the long-legged woman trotted over to the cliffs’ edge and gaze out over the canyon which spread beneath her, once again feeling as if all this land was made solely for her; the entire world, only for her.

RE: streetcar - Maegi - January 02, 2020

does a cartwheel

She'd been doing more than a little wandering as of late. First the meeting with Hela, by the lake, and now she found herself traversing the edges of the canyon, looking into its depths. It reminded her of the Void, the yawning embrace of death, and she shuddered to be so near.

To be in the mountains, where her life had been on the line—

Maegi stopped abruptly, spotting the pretty girl ahead. She lifted her chin, surveying the stranger with some wariness. Her nostrils flared—she caught the alpine air upon the young woman's pelt, and the barest traces of pack-scent. Not a loner, not of Nightwalkers. . .

Hello, Maegi called out, padding slowly but deliberately toward the other wolf. She nodded toward the canyon. Amazing, isn't it? Terrifying, more like.
