I want my caviar in a heart shaped bowl - Vanity - January 05, 2020 Anyone can join! Part of the Random Event: Coyotes!
A cackle sounded through the darkness of the night. Vanity unfurled herself and poked her head from the den, scanning the thick fog. Snow landed on her outstretched muzzle.
How unideal for hunting. But for assassinating. She stood, hoping she wouldn't get too cold in her work. Even so, she could cuddle @Black Hat later. He wouldn't mind much. She trotted along the path, making sure she wouldn't bump into a tree. Listening for the coyote. Perhaps there were two. A rustling and she stopped, adopting a foxes pose to listen. A raccoon. Unwelcome, but not her target. Snow fell heavily from the trees above, but the only thing that bothered her there was the noise. opossum. Vanity continued her hunt. There. The footfall of something larger. Mimicking her own typical light steps. Over the bushes, to the adjacent pathway. It must have something and is leaving. Or could it be someone else hot on its trail? She chuffed a warning, knowing that if it was a coyote it would run; but she could catch it. Surely. RE: I want my caviar in a heart shaped bowl - Hela - February 04, 2020 something prickles along her spine as she hunts for the source of the cackle, the sifting figures in the snow. the girl is no great tracker, but somehow, she gets lucky; distantly, she spots a pair of careful silhouettes making their way toward the border; the latter of which drags something with it. she turns away, making to give them a wide berth and she lopes to overtake them. when she is certain that she is in front of the pair, she circles back with bared fangs and dagger-like hackles, driving straight at them. one turns back and bolts, unknowingly, in the direction of Vanity. the second drops its prize and lunges straight for her. RE: I want my caviar in a heart shaped bowl - Vanity - February 07, 2020 Two, she could hear both of them now. Especially since someone had joined her assassination.
One was snarling, the other hurtling towards the ambush. Vanity tracked the movement, then pounced, latching onto it with her jaws, and throwing it to the ground with her surprise and power. Coyotes were just about the same size as her anyway. It screeched and she worked her jaw to its neck, pinning it in a death grip. She choked the life from it, holding it in her legs while it struggled. She stood once the life was drawn from the creature. And went on the hunt for the next. Of course, Hela was the one who'd found it and was now battling it, so Vanity watched and waited, observing her technique. RE: I want my caviar in a heart shaped bowl - Hela - February 10, 2020 fangs meet fangs messily, though the girl is advantaged in her size. she surges forward, gaining a bloodied hold on the side of the thing's face and with a jerk of her muzzle, tears into its face. scream slips from the creature's throat, and it tears away from her wildly. it turns to run; the girl allows it a moment before lunging forward and gaining a grip on the thing's hindlimb, whipping her muzzle from side to side and gently encouraging the coyote to scream out again. tail lashed, and she beckons to Vanity with a low call to join in. unlike her, the whelp is in no hurry to kill the creature, and she's in a rare diplomatic mood. RE: I want my caviar in a heart shaped bowl - Vanity - February 10, 2020 To kill a being whilst acting in torment meant that it would cast bad omens on one until the spirit passes over. She should end it. Prevent its torment. But if she let Hela do so, the spirit would cast its omen on Hela. Undecided. Vanity shook her head slowly, taking her leave with the screams echoing behind her. Soon, Vanity would put this right. Hela had the Nightwalker way, but she was not a Nightwalker in her eyes. Not Warlord anyway. For the dramas lol
RE: I want my caviar in a heart shaped bowl - Hela - February 10, 2020 the woman is gone. hela takes this in stride, instead moving to make a quick end of the creature. releasing her hold, she lunges toward it's flank, renting the tended flesh there and ultimately eviscerating the creature. the whelp begins to eat even as she coyote still stirs; as is the manner of wild things. once, she had had reservations, but now she only moves to sate her hunger on the once-intruder. the girl will drag this one, and the second, to the cache herself; evidently Vanity has no desire to do anything beyond the minimum. for now, however, she moves only to sate her hunger. |
