The scene was the same, boring. She had wandered into a meadow, the field rolling for some grand distance in every direction. Open spaces never served the girl well. She preferred the tips of the mountains, where agility was key; or the darkness of a thick wood where she might easily blend into the background. But here. Here she had no choice but to remain in the light, surrounded by patchy snow she stuck out like a sore thumb.
