i've got margaritas in my blood - Xizur - January 09, 2020

It appeared mountains were not so kind to heavy-footed strangers slithering along narrow edges, for one moment he'd been flat atop a ledge while the next he was free falling for what felt like minutes. In truth it was only a few short moments that he been airborne before he gracelessly landed along a slope and continued to plunge to the valley below, which had ironically been both his saving grace and cause for concern.

When he did eventually reach the ground, he did so with a thud that left him wheezing for the very air that had just been knocked out of him. Thankfully it appearance as if no serious injured had been gifted to him during his rather embarrassing crash landing, although he was left with a nasty abrasion that ran across his left hind leg and upwards towards his thigh that looked something akin to road rash.

Ah, what a way to start off the year.

RE: i've got margaritas in my blood - Gracious - January 09, 2020

Gracious could understand why the male had problems with the footing, being big-boned herself, it was hard trying to get one's footing in narrow areas. She had taken a few tumbles in her time of living, a few light ones and a few nasty ones, luckily no bones were broken. Her path through the territory held a light pace, wandering around in search for nothing.

However, she heard a loud sound that caught her attention. Swiftly, she turned her body to face the noise's birthplace and began to move towards it. She went from her leisure walk to a hurried lope, worries about what could've made that noise. A rockslide? A tree falling? She wasn't sure what, but it couldn't have been good.

She halted, however, when a wolf came into view. Not the scent of the Court and its' members, not of a fur or face she recognized. She wanted to approach and see if the other was okay, but the knowledge of how wolves reacted to strangers while hurt stopped her. Instead, she lifted her muzzle to the air and called for her Undomiel @Andraste as well as anyone else who wanted to help her. She lowered her body to the ground, watching the other wolf.

"Why are you here, who are you?" she asked cautiously, wondering who would aid her in this situation.

How convenient for him to have an audience nearby just waiting to witnesses the masterpiece that was his bruised ego. Fortunately he didn't dwell on the embarrassment of the whole situation for long and picked himself up just as the woman came round to lay her sights on him. Her words cut sharp, though it was her call for aid that left him lingering on the tips of his toes.

"Xizur" he introduced flatly, nose flaring as he tipped his head skyward to glance at the ledge he'd fallen from. "I fell" came his explanation, a sliver of humiliation trickling across his feature upon admitting what had happened out loud. Not a breath after the words had left his mouth did his attention snap back towards the greyscale stranger, sea salt eyes unabashedly sweeping over her figure as he shook his injured leg free of any pebbles that had clung to the wound.

"How do I get out of here?" came his next choice of words, because obvious he wasn't getting out of here the way he'd gotten in.

RE: i've got margaritas in my blood - Gracious - January 10, 2020

An interesting name but the least of her worries, Gracious felt her tail cling to her leg rather tightly. She couldn't describe the feeling of fear, that was a strong word. Perhaps, uncertainty, of somesort. Feelings were complex and couldn't always be put under an umbrella term; Gracious of all wolves knew this. She kept her feelings to herself however in this situation, her focus remained on the large male before here.

His story was laughable, he fell of all things and ended up before her? It was simply silly, Gracious would've normally offered him some passion for the embarassment, but for now she would keep herself rather stoic. Of course she was friendly, but when it came to unknown wolves somehow existing in the Court's realm, that was perhaps one of the only reasons her warm aura would step away from her. Her gaze, however, softened at Xizur; he seemed to be honest in his answer and just wanted a way out.

"I'll guide you out, we're rather deep in the Court." She stepped forward, neck extending in the slightest to give her more range to look at him. "Can you walk? We may have something to coat it in to help treat the pain." So long as he remained respectful, Gracious would offer her help in any way she could of getting this male out of her home, it was the least she could do.

He might not have grown within the safety of a pack, but that didn't mean Xizur was not educated on the laws of the land. He had trespassed into their territory, albeit unintentionally, but was here all the same. He knew far too well that there was never not a punishment for the sin he'd committed, and her honeyed words of unusual kindness made him coil with suspicion.

"No" came his response to her offer of aid, eyes fogged with an unsettling gleam of distrust as he ignored her question on the matter of his mobility. "I just need the way out" he let out once more, the growing sting of his leg only encouraging him to get the hell out of dodge before anyone else joined the pair of them.

In a slight manner, her soft expression hardened when he ignored her question of concern and help. She could be this male's only lifeline at the moment; treading the way he did would leave him on very thin ice. Gracious considered herself a patient woman but she didn't appreciate not being listened to, especially by an outsider in her home. In her mind, her feelings and reactions were valid to some degree. She recoiled her stretched out neck, ears falling back and tail no longer tucking itself against her leg. Slowly, it began to rise.

"I apologize for the inconvienence, but we don't allow others to travel within the Court unless they have an escort. Either I guide you out, or the Valitúrës chase you out." Her voice grew slightly firm; she had to be firm, didn't she? She was trying to help him for god's sake, why wasn't he letting her help? The "threat" she made was more of an informational comment, her role was to console others, the Valitúrë was meant to protect and battle. She was the best of wolves to run into when it came down to these situations, she wondered if Xizur would eventually see that.

"Please, let me show you the way out" she sighed, her voice became supple and gentle once again.

The sour taste of disdain in his mouth grew to an immeasurable amount the moment her tail began to rise. It was infuriating, indescribable disgust he felt - the very sight of her display making his blood boil from the tips of his toes to the roof of his mouth. He wanted to yell, to scream at her like a child, but his words often betrayed him in moments ruled by raw emotion and he knew only one other way to express himself besides the use of words.

And so in retaliation of her commanding display and cheap threat, Xizur fell victim to the trademarks of a child brought up without any authoritative figure. His fur bristled, his ears fell flat, and his tail circled upward - a clear, visible display of rebellion against her words.

Tell a brat to follow and they'll run the other way, which he did, right past the greyscale woman and off towards what he hoped was the nearest exit.

To clarify, Xizur fell in right along razorback ridge and is now heading directly for the sunspire. Feel free to give chase and snap at/injure him.
