the reawakening - Bhediya - January 12, 2020 ve mujhase kya ummeed karate hain? the moon shone clear through the cavern's mouth, illuminating the garden hidden beneath its shadow. where once there sat a lavender patch, bony stalks coated in brown and white swayed with the steady evening breeze. the chattering of far-off creatures could be heard as they awoke to greet the stars. aap unase kya ummeed karate hain? the seraph was without her guardian. from empyrea watched aatma with steady gaze, awaiting the servant's answer in expectant quietude. years since they'd last spoken; how was she to respond? a scurry behind her, followed by the deafening screech of a frantic bat. main vahaan vaapas nahin ja sakata. sainah sat before her child, petals spilling from atop her head. with each breath, they would wilt and regrow, sighing songs of relief with the beginning of each cycle. the mother of mothers, her presence acted as a comfort to her child. emeralds turned back to face the eye of aatma. ham aapake saath rahenge. sohim stood beside the weeping stygian. rings of silver and gold spun around him, hiding the flames which engulfed him. inside was the body of an infant, sobbing as it held tight to the staff of stone. quiet, muffled by the grate of his armor. bhediya gasped, shocked by the sudden weightlessness. ammaa?she called out, looking to where the mother had once stood. then, to the father's once throne, abbaa?had they left her so soon? years since communing with one another, and they'd left her with nothing more than a riddle. damn you!she cried out. the sylph was irate — disheartened, rather. she clawed at the stone, cracking nails and running others down to the vein. there was a whisper behind her, a breath upon her shoulder. bhediya spun around but saw nought, save for the anomalous glare of a distant fox. the cackles of the retreating beast faded as it disappeared into twilight. |
