the chapter. - Uriel - January 21, 2020

So shall she begin, her lay to the claim of this forest. Uriel was new to these wilds, but had an understanding by the various smells she captured during her wander to the maplewoods. Various of packs and tracks came to be as she travelled, and even more so should be around, beyond the valleys and mountains, and many, many wolves to meet. A pheonix, rising, she was determined to become a star like many of them held claim, and here she shall begin that chapter.

While none was to follow, and the honey beauty was alone, she wanted to make her stay. Her home, to be, was these woods, and she would show it is hers. Uriel couldn't help but smile, as here was the beginning, where she would turn to a home, and to be her own wolf. A giddy feeling, she wanted to keep forever.

RE: the chapter. - RIP Kaertok - January 21, 2020

Along his patrol of Legion's borders, he sniffed out something that didn't agree with him. It made his lip curl, his stomach turn, and made him generally cranky. Cranky Kaertok was not a wolf that was very fun to be around, and the wolf who had decided to set up shop right next to the bypass was now at the top of his list for asses to kick. He didn't know whether it was intentional or not, but they'd decided to claim a territory that bordered Arbiter and Terance's still-forming pack. That simply wouldn't do.

The stench of her was evident, and it wasn't difficult to track her down. Kaertok, usually indifferent or even docile toward strangers, arrived with his hackles raised and his teeth bared. No words came out, just an awful growl that rumbled from his chest.

RE: the chapter. - Uriel - January 21, 2020

While she knew some were near, Uriel did not know how close they laid to be. North and South, was she surrounded while desiring to lay the claim, and so the South came, baring it's fangs. She too did not give a greeting, but bristled and let a rumbling growl back at the white stranger. Already she had arrived, and already did she need to defend.

The golden wolf watched with silver eyes, waiting for what he would do while she remained on guard, hostility emitting from her as he too, came with malice. The Maplewoods would be hers, so she hoped, but alone she knew it would be a difficult mission; and perhaps this would be her first task.

RE: the chapter. - RIP Kaertok - January 21, 2020

I'm pretty over playing fights out over several rounds, but I'd be happy to roll for damage/a winner!

She didn't back down. He was used to as much, but that didn't stop him. She'd made her intentions clear, and Kaertok surged forward. From a whelp, he'd been taught to fight, to prevail. He had not won every fight (what wolf could?), but he had won many. Perhaps he had even won more than he had lost. The Tartok did not track such things.

Unless she was running, Kaertok would be upon her in seconds, teeth grabbing at whatever he could get ahold of, blocking the stranger's teeth whenever it was convenient for him.

RE: the chapter. - Uriel - January 21, 2020

we can roll for winner!

He attacked, and she was determined to not yield to this unknown man. It enraged her, for what right does he have to attack, for claiming her home. She care not if it once laid to him, or maybe a figment of the past.. Perhaps the worst one Uriel could think, that a Pack nearby, started to claim more. He was the first, to try and take it away from her, and she would snap back. Baring her fangs, she was prepared for him and his own teeth.

She dare not run, for it would mean running from the place she first chosen, her destined land! She felt him grab near her shoulder, and let it be, for she would aim for the neck, the vital area's, anywhere for a critical hit while he claimed a hold onto her. The phoenix, would not let him win.

RE: the chapter. - RIP Kaertok - January 21, 2020

Woo, fun!

She was a worthy adversary, but not quite up to Kaertok's level of training. He would not get away without a puncture wound here and a scratch there, but in the end, he stood triumphant. You've lost, he said, spitting his own blood from his mouth. She'd caught his tongue at some point, and she'd nicked it in the process. It wasn't a pretty look.

Legion will not tolerate another pack so close, he warned, licking his snout and leaving a bloody smear on it.

RE: the chapter. - Uriel - January 21, 2020

"I will not yield my home." She had lost, and laid on the ground with an injured shoulder, while she successfully managed to inflict an injury to him as well. Uriel couldn't deny, while she was phoenix, these wolves were dragons, much stronger then the wolves she had met before. A large reason, she so desired the stay of many, and a stronger urge to recruit.

Legion, the golden wolf would take this memory to name, a group who threatened her land. She glared with an unwavering silver look, almost asking for another round; but she couldn't deny hesitation. She lost once, and while weakened, there was no success for another.. Carry wounds, and strike another day Uriel thought. She would not leave this place.

RE: the chapter. - RIP Kaertok - January 21, 2020

You are a fool, and someday you will die a fool, Kaertok retorted. Leave now, or I will make that day today. Again, the low rumble began in his chest. His tail rose, and his bloodied lips crinkled back to show his teeth, his tongue, and his gums covered in blood. The Tartok wolf's burnt sienna eyes bore into the fool, challenging her to disobey him. If she did, he would do everything within his power to eliminate her from this world.

RE: the chapter. - Uriel - January 21, 2020

"I retreat for the day; but I will never let it be, for a fool is what I am." Uriel gritted her teeth against the white wolf, taking in his words but feeling disobedient. However, she could not let herself perish, for she still awaits to soar. Another day, burning to ashes, but as a phoenix, she will be born again the next, "Tomorrow, the next week, the next year, I will always be back." She said her words, a warning to him, for he won today, but today will not be the last of her.

She got up, a wounded shoulder, but a settling mark upon him as well, "Remember me well, dragon, I am Uriel." And so forth, she walked West.

Tags for reference, since I assume that'll be behind the scenes!

She yammered on, but at least she was getting up to leave. Kaertok stood where he was, watching as she departed. He would let @Arbiter and @Terance know of this incident, and he would keep an extra close watch on Legion's northern border. There was no doubting this one would be back. Perhaps he could even find Dawn again and let her know that there was more crowding in the area. At least she had been sane enough to approach them before pissing right next door.
