chapter four. - Uriel - January 21, 2020

set on 1-23-2020

It was the first area she entered- but did not stay too long, determined to find the spot she wanted. While Uriel had found that forest- she started to backtrack to get a real look to what was around. Perhaps she was too focused, though she was fixing the mistake. The woods were cold, welcoming as she walked in ease, but it seemed surrounded by what could be danger- yet easy to be seen. A protection, if one knew the area well enough.

She couldn't deny- the soon-to-be Alpha, needed to keep her options open. As much as she had favored the Maplewoods, she had lost a fight in it. It had shaken her hold onto the land, and while still laying claim, Uriel would come forth with a revenge against the white wolf. She felt angered, for she defended, and lost the fight. Though, it would be one of the many battles, and the Phoenix, would prepare for the next one. She was ready.

"I wonder if some claimed it before."

RE: chapter four. - Dawn - January 22, 2020

"a long time ago," comes the answer, as the huntress steps into view. it had been a long time since alarian and his group had settled at the boulder; while they had not lain claim to the majority of these woods, she considered it their regardless. she'd not thought of the male in some time, she wondered idly where he was, now.

she realized the question may have been rhetorical, but figured there was little point to voicing questions aloud if you didn't want answers. the woman's gaze traces over the other, sizing her up. "why do you ask?" she hopes it's a valid reason, it also strikes her that wolves wandering the woods alone asking questions might not be the sanest.

RE: chapter four. - Uriel - January 22, 2020

Uriel felt startled as the voice called out, and a figure had approached alongside. While seemingly unhostile nor' territoral she still remained guarded, silver eyes quietly watching the silver wolf. She announced that long ago, The Bracken Woods had held a group, but they were no more, "I see." Any scents that remained were long gone, and even the golden one couldn't detect any signs, besides the usual travellers and prey. Abandoned, and unclaimed.. A thought came to be. She had to consider choices, after all, despite reluctance held.

To forgive, and to forget, to abandon what was, and to be reborn as the Pheonix she was meant to be, yet still struggled with the thought of the white dragon, "I desire to claim a land to become my own." There was no wish, or hope, but selfish greed Uriel announced to the other wolf, as she directly gazed back to the bronze.

RE: chapter four. - Dawn - January 24, 2020

it strikes her, as the woman makes her intent clear, that this might be the wolf Artyom had told her of. she certainly fits the description, though the huntress does not make her knowledge known, yet. she will not contend with another pack forming in their vicinity, not in the least. with the bypass so near, and the woman having explicitly chosen the taiga for the abundance of prey that comes with few controlling packs in the area, new of another pack is unwelcome at best, and almost hostile when it seeks to form next to her borders.

but when she speaks again, it is only to ask, "why?" she'll learn more of this woman before she elects to come to some decision.

RE: chapter four. - Uriel - January 24, 2020

Uriel was open to her desires; there wasn't a point in hiding when her scent had come around to the Phoenix Maplewoods, though lessened as she considered a change of plans, "A sanctuary," the golden wolf declared, "A place to become anew. Where a new beginning for I and others, can happen." She was greedy, she wanted her own sanctuary, and not the creation of others. Some place where her morals can be placed firmly onto the threshold, and there she may do what is needed without the restraints of another above, "A ward of hope. The Sunward."

A greed for power, but more greedy for a home to claim as her's.

RE: chapter four. - Dawn - January 26, 2020

the leader offers a contemplative hum, a flick of her tail. "you're the Uriel, then, that seeks to claim the maplewood." my maplewood. artyom had told her of the girl, only the day before.

"is that still your intent?" she asks, neutral still. forcing her out was a step she was barely willing to take; only as a last resort. she'd no interest in making enemies as Greyback surely had during his exile of that girl; inciting doubt. if she truly saw any wisdom in attempting to claim a territory bordering two packs, the leader would do her best to talk her out of it.

RE: chapter four. - Uriel - January 26, 2020

"I am," she nodded without hiding who she was, as she was almost glad to be known. The more known one can be, the more oppurtunities there was to come- as well as the wariness however. She would let others know, what was to become her ward, "It has changed." She admitted, her lips turning upward in a smile, knowing very well why this one was asking. Uriel however, did not know she was the Alpha, only she smelled of Pack.

"It is crowded," the golden wolf started, "but tempting. However for my ward, I cannot by selfish. Perhaps here, is where I will make the new claim." Here, within The Bracken Woods. Determination gleamed within her silvers, as she stated the greedy statement, despite trying to be 'selfishness' as she so said to be.

There was a raging fire moments ago, about the white dragon defeating her, and wishing revenge.. Though it slowly seemed to dimmer down, once she begin talking about facts on what she should be doing.

RE: chapter four. - Dawn - January 28, 2020

the woman announces her intent has changed, and a small smile curves her lips. "this is a better place. less crowded, and large enough to make good hunting grounds." on the fringes of the wilds, too, and so out of the way of her group. she does not care what this woman does, as long as she does not infringe on the welfare of her own.

"I am dawn, leader of whitebark stream," she introduces then, auds flicking to acknowledge the raven that slips through the barren canopy then.

RE: chapter four. - Uriel - January 28, 2020

The golden wolf nodded, agreeing to her statement, and fortifying further her reason to keep the area. She also felt confident about suspicions on this wolf, feeling the woman to be a strong and resilant one, alongst with a familiar scent, they were someone. Introduced as the leader, she gave a nod of acknowledgement, and said, "it's nice to meet you, Dawn of Whitebark Stream."

"I am Uriel of Sunward." She re-introduced herself, properly this run.

RE: chapter four. - Dawn - January 29, 2020

she dips her muzzle, ghost of a smile lingering on a muzzle a moment. it is odd, to make introductions at the end of a conversation. "good to have met you," she offers, eager to be on her way, then, and leave this woman to, well, whatever it is she's doing.

"good luck, Uriel." she says in lieu of goodbye, a final dip of her head before she turns on her heel and vanishes back they way she'd come.

RE: chapter four. - Uriel - January 30, 2020

A satisfied meeting with the leader of the Whitebark Stream pack, and likewise she too would turn away to walk onwards to her prepartions of Sunward, "Thank you," Uriel dipped her head before turning. A new respect toward their pack, a friendly meeting between their wolves so far that she had enjoyed.
