im working. - Ruò - February 04, 2020 ruò had caught a bird earlier, this time not falling on it. here and there she would catch a few, and instead of feasting it upon herself, let it fall within the yuelong cache. while reclusive, and perhaps following whims, she was not a bum. the siren would do her fair share of work.
speaking of work, she wondered where @Ying was. the cousin was filling the cache per' their previous game, but she hasn't caught her since. same with the other cousins, whom ruò still has not seen. @hua and @Mei, she wondered where those two were. well, not like they'd appeared at the moment. should she gather a few more birds, or go fishing? RE: im working. - Huā - February 09, 2020 But she would appear at the moment. She had returned to the island; she knew now what they had to do here. But it seemed someone else wanted this place too, as she caught a dull brown streak further down the land, filling caches of her own. Huā speeds forward, fully intending to scare away an intruder for the first time. It is only then that she squints, recognizing the smudge more and more as she got closer. Was that Ruò? She barely remembered the recluse's name- the girl had been so isolated at home. Then how had she managed to wander up here? 呀,若?She calls hesitantly as she stands a few yards away. Would the girl even bother to talk to her? RE: im working. - Ruò - February 09, 2020 she prowled through, baby blues watching the trees for seabirds. some were too high for the siren to catch, so she watched for the lower branches to attempt so, however instead she was called out, but not by a bird. "华." ruò replied placidly back, approaching the figure. she wondered if ying told the other she was here.
RE: im working. - Huā - February 10, 2020 The girl dryly calls her name back, approaching her casually. Huā's brow furrows- the girl was a tad strange. No explanation for being here, nor any eagerness to greet her. Just approaching every part of life with a totally lax attitude. Knowing that Ruò wasn't one for unnecessary talk, she inquires 你在这里会住跟我们吗?She figured the girl must know something about the forming group- otherwise why would she be here? RE: im working. - Ruò - February 10, 2020 there was a note within mind of the frown, but ignored such, only nodding to the responds with a stoiciness, "英告诉我." she had already helped fill the caches, even just a bit, and felt displeased how not many noticed the efforts she gave. perhaps not one of words, but her actions surely should show.
"搜索缓存." baby blues glanced at the trees for the birds, but their talk had wisked them away from somewhere. she thought thhore would be the best bet to go find later, but her cousin was of focus she should be having. though alas, her mind was elsewhere as lukewarm responses continued for the siren. RE: im working. - Huā - February 10, 2020 Ying told her. Ying, who had been gone for two- three? days now. Ying, whom she'd searched the lands for with no success. She does not acknowledge Ruò's first comment. She could not talk about Ying now, lest she break down. Instead she would wait for nuvujak to return. The girl then tells Huā she was hunting for caches. Huā nods at her happily- how pleasant it was to see people working for this already! Huā decides not to say another word, but she was sure her message would be clear when she began to stalk away. Further down the shore sat a couple of seagulls- she figured between the two of them, they'd be able to get something. RE: im working. - Ruò - February 10, 2020 her cousin was remembered the same, easy to sway in emotions. one second she was happy within her ego and in next growling of a demon. a tsunami of emotions that felt too exhausting for someone of the more cold, and relaxed nature. there was no need to really act on useless moods- so ruo says despite being angry about half the time.
hua understood the attempt, and she inwardly sighed, nearly doing it outwards as well. nothing can be done in the peace of silence in her own lonesome self. however as a packmate she supposed the siren's comfort needs to be subsided for the moment, and followed her cousin the birds. she thought beaches. good, didn't have to make an excuse to ditch if they had the same thoughts where to go. and there sat a lovely couple, a feast for the cache. she prowled low, but decided to let hua lead. made it easier then to give intructions. RE: im working. - Huā - February 11, 2020 rolled in tabletop to see if she would catch one, and she does :)
Ruò followed just behind, but left the lead up to the siren. The beach was not a place where one could hide; there was little cover. When hiding could not be used, speed was necessary. So after only a moment more of keeping low to the ground, she rises, rushing at a full speed towards the couple. The birds heads swivel to face her- but she's already upon them. Picking the smaller one as her target, she leaps, jaws wrapping around its neck with marvelous speed. It's friend squawks, floating up into the air. She snapped its neck with one twist of her head, but the second seagull swooped from above, attempting to bite and scratch at her ears. She swings her head back and forth, attempting to shoo it off. But she wondered if somehow, Ruò would be able to take advantage of this- perhaps she could still grab the pest out of the sky. RE: im working. - Ruò - February 11, 2020 the heavens did not favour the siren upon hunting, as each instance with the sisters resulted in a failed hunt. though she perhaps thought they were bad luck, and solidfied her resolve to a better life in a reclusive setting. hunting alone was always better.
when ruo sprung forth in a mighty speed, she missed just enough where instead of grabbing the bird, she only nipped the wing. it successfully flew off, leaving only the wind and sand behind. goddamn it. RE: im working. - Huā - February 11, 2020 wrap soon?
Unfortunately, Ruò doesn't have her luck. At least she rids Huā of the pest though, and the mermaid turns to give Ruò and appreciative grin. 谢谢你!She chirps to her cousin. Lifting the gull she had killed off the ground, its neck drooping lifelessly, she began to head back towards where Ruò had been before. She figures the girl will follow, and coming upon the cache, she drops the prey in. All the while her tail wags as she feels more secure about the stability of the forming pack. RE: im working. - Ruò - February 11, 2020 ya! ruo only nodded, feeling a bit spiteful and rather determined to go and successfully catch something. maybe she'd do better by the ocean then of the seashore. so she split off from her cousin, unknowing, and uncaring if the hua saw her walk away. she was pretty determined to go catch something. a fiery spirit did not match the solemn look upon the siren. |
