Leave a note for your next of kin - Lumiya - February 13, 2020

Upon discovering the mystical forest of weeping willows, she went to look for places that surrounded it. She was quite used to traversing mountains now, having done so numerous times in the past moon, and reached the dome with ease. Gentle and careful steps brought her along ledges, above gaps in which she could very much fall and die a painful, lonesome death. But, she didn't fall - she seemed to soar, carried on the wings of Loinnir.

She had taken the wrong turn and her nose had led her astray. The dark woman was lost and her son was no where in the territory she found herself in a territory that she was mildly familiar with.

The fae knew that her court needed members, and many if she was to lead them the way it had been done at the faerie court - pups, elders, the whole shebang was wished for. That was why, upon seeing the darkened female, she approached with a gentle sway of her tail. The woman looked distressed, something the wannabe counselor took note of, but not before chirping a friendly; Greetings!

She lookee upon the young wolf and she had a familiarity to her. The shadowed woman couldn't figure it out. "Hello, I'm Moonshadow. Would you know which direction Blackfeather woods is? I seemed to have got lost." It wouldn't kill to ask but she knew she was far from the territory.

Luckily for the lost stranger, the fae did know how to get to Blackfeather Woods. She had visited not too long ago, seeking remnant of her past and her family's legacy. The place had been a dump, graced by the earth quakes and famines that had ruled the Wilderness in the months their family had not been present. They'd been fortunate, but the dark woods seemed far from inhabitable and not a great place to spend ones time.

I am Lumiya - my parents are from the woods you speak of, though they've long since left. She answered. I know where to find it, but I cannot help wondering what you hope to gain from going there... The dark woods are a mess. Her white-tipped brows knitted together in a concerned frown, hoping the woman was not attempting to resurrect what was better left for dead.

The female spoke her name and she made a small mental note of it. "It's a pleasure to meet you lumiya." The woman knew how to get there and she was hopeful. "I'm looking for my son. That's the only place I can think of where he went. He was born there and grew quite fond of it." She started.

The woman's case was a noble one, the fae had to admit, but one that would bear no fruits and would leave her unsatisfied. Lumi shook her head, the frown that had settled upon her pretty face unwavering. I looked through the entire woods not even a moon ago, there was no one. She informed carefully. If you do not mind me asking, when did he go missing? She wanted to help the woman, but knew that her resemblance to an angel only went so far - besides, some children were better off fending for their own, paving their own ways to a destiny they had yet to find.

She gave a small sigh. "He left a few weeks ago. Even if he's not there, I have to try. He's all I have left." She had no one else, her brother was gone as well as her daughter and she worried for her still.

A few weeks really wasn't that specific, but it mattered less and less as the woman went on. Her expression grew more determined - more sure of herself, and then she shook her head. You are wrong. She stated matter-of-factly. Though her voice had been slightly more stern than before, her gentle eyes revealed only good intentions. You are the one you have left. You do not need much else.

How could she explain to this young wolf that she didn't have much left of herself anyway. But moonshadow kept quiet about that part. "Family is a big part of my life. If he's not there I guess you can say I can get closure. "

I'm sorry, I cannot relate. She answered sadly. The only member of her vast family she'd ever deemed worthy of her care and trust was her brother Revan, and even he was so very different from her. She had chosen a different family, one among the willows and faeries of the Wilderness, in her court of wonders. She stepped closer then, trying to bring comfort. I can take you to the dark woods — Or you can come with me to a place you'll never forget and discover that it's nothing but the truth I speak.

She knew that her pack probably did not want her back. All she had done was patrols and stayed out of everything that was going on. She missed her son dearly and wanted him to be safe as well as her daughter. "I'm sorry." She responded to the female, she wished she could say more. When looking at the girl she saw her daughter in her eyes; there was no doubt they were around the same age; her maternal instinct was to give her a gentle nudge but knew it could be taken the wrong way. "I did not mean to upset you; young one."

Though her body was young, her mind was older; Lumi more resembled someone the age of 3 than an almost-yearling. This was mostly due to her upbringing and personality, and it was something she bumped heads with quite often. She didn't like to be referred to as a child because she didn't feel like one (and not in the teenage-way, mind you). I'm not upset. She answered clearly. No, it took a lot more to make the little fae upset than a few stray memories of her family. But you seem like you are — Come with me, calm down, then I can take you to the Woods you're trying to find.

She gave a small nod towards the girl. "Tell me more about this place you speak of. I am a mercenary and a medic; however I feel the vision in my eye slowly fading." She knew in a few years time she would loose that vision completely but she didn't want to think about that.

Fade here?

The fae smiled then, escorting the lady safely to Hushed Willows while she talked about her court of wonders. Soon enough, Moonshadow was informed and given a thin winter hare to strengthen up on in the safe confines of the forest — and her court had claimed yet another spirit for its establishment.
