too high of waves - Ruò - February 17, 2020

i would love to meet @Erzulie or @Rosalyn :eyes:
but aw!

perhaps in summer it would be beautiful, but for now it was covered by white snow. she was directly at the edge, peering down to the endless waters, seeing that it would only be death if she were to jump forth. the rocks were far too close, and the impact would be too great.. she was curious enough if it was possible and climbed, only to be greeted by the few birds that did not head south, and nothing to venture down toward the waters.

movement wasted. but she continued to peer done, eerily close to the edge..

RE: too high of waves - Rosalyn - February 17, 2020

ohai

She was going to wait for the weather to turn, but a wild eagerness had consumed her.  It was not her time.... she knew that feeling well.  But it was something, and it led her in a heady trail towards the coast and the cliffs.

She paused to see an unfamiliar shape close to the edge... extremely close.  She wondered momentarily if they thought to jump, but no... there was no waiting energy to their stance.

Still, she approached from the side while circling round, so that if she startled them it would not be forward.  The cliffs are beautiful, but the fall isn't pleasant. she jested, but there was a remembered quality in her eye.

RE: too high of waves - Ruò - February 17, 2020

ruo watched the red pirate enter with a humor to her tone, but perhaps she meant seriously. the siren looked at the other and smelled of familarity as she nodded in agreement. it was beautiful, but deadly, perhaps it would be even better if they were closer to the waters.. though that day would take years for the waves to reach up.

she was a rather silent foe, only giving shakes of the head toward the other, but ruo was in thought. there was familarity in the smell, as the sisters brought it with when they came back to the isle, and when she first met ying. she supposed they were of the same pack before, and gave no more thought, before turning back to staring downward to the edge.

she kept getting uncomfortably close to it.

RE: too high of waves - Erzulie - February 17, 2020

she was not far from rosalyn these days, somehow anxious as she awaited to discover if she would fall with child or not. she sensed this was perhaps her last time for it, but her healer's innate sense told her stress was unwise.
the scent of the sea winds then; she followed her scarred scarlet scalawag along the bluff, stopping when she had come upon rosalyn, and watching the stranger with a quiet unease.

RE: too high of waves - Rosalyn - February 17, 2020

She started easily, but as the girl didn't move away, and remained silent, her smile faded into a sharp apprehension.  She did not owe this stranger anything, and would not be affected if she fell... but the pirate had always held a secret soft touch.

She moved forward, feeling her stomach sway as she too nearer the cliff's edge.  She did not notice Erzulie behind her... only Ruo.

la imbécil, she said, the words with a small bite to them.  Then she caught the scent of Ying and her wolves.  Did this wolf speak their language?  You know Ying, she said, in an attempt to catch her attention and keep it.  All the while she was uncomfortably aware of the drop, and her pelt prickled with a strange sense of deja vu.

RE: too high of waves - Ruò - February 18, 2020

ruo crooked a head toward the redden wolf, as yet another language had appeared. she only knew of mother-tongue and english, what had spoke was foreign. then the other appeared, but a golden one, who reminded her of the sea. she would think the wolf was a cousin, if not for the unfamiliar scent, and age she carried. the siren knew of her relatives too well, to mistake her as so.

two languages spoken, one she knew, "cousin."

RE: too high of waves - Erzulie - February 21, 2020

she remained quiet, aware of her mate's tension. but the word she recognized.
she did not understand its use here, however; erzulie shifted forward. "you are one of ying's?"

RE: too high of waves - Rosalyn - March 03, 2020

She didn't realize Erzulie was there until she spoke, and she smiled automatically, wondering if she'd been followed.  She didn't move from her placement, though, still a little confused at the woman's placement and actions.

Erzulie asked the question she was going to.  She did not know their pack's name, but she knew they were establishing something after the conversation previously.  They apparently had family everywhere.

She remained silent, warily watching, but alert for any explanation that may be forthcoming.

RE: too high of waves - Ruò - March 07, 2020

"i am my own." she was in the same pack as them, but wasn't sure what the golden witch said that she was one of yings, "family." ruo wasn't sure the whole ranking system in yuelong at the moment, only had the awareness that the trio of sisters would be somesort of leader, but she doubted they were huge tyrants to be the only one's..

right?

anyway. she looked at the two curiously, wondering how they knew her cousin.

RE: too high of waves - Erzulie - March 10, 2020

it was not an answer, but erzulie found it satisfying in its own way. "ying an' her sisters used to live wid us at rusalka," the harlot revealed lightly, tossing her wife a pointed look. perhaps there was information to be had here, though it seemed this woman was more tight-lipped than her relatives had been.
"i be erzulie. dis is rosalyn." no need for unfriendliness, not when they would eventually share a coastline.

RE: too high of waves - Rosalyn - March 15, 2020

Rosalyn took Erzulie's nod and acknowledged it, though she remained silent.  She wasn't sure what she wished to gather from this newfound acquaintance, but likely any questions would need to be drawn directly.  She did not seem keen on sharing.

Perhaps why she was here? She considered it a moment, but held her tongue, waiting.  Maybe Erzulie's statement would elicit something.
