hold it together, birds of a feather - Daiyu - February 21, 2020 how long ago had it all happened, how long ago had she been separated from the girls that had gone through it with her? ah, did it matter anymore? she was free, she was able to do as she please. the only trouble with that was, she did not know what she pleased. how does one forget their entire life, how does one live free when born into enslavement? her body still moved with the grace of a dancer, her actions were still controlled by her training and the many corrections she went through.
oh, but there was one thing she gravitated towards at her own whim. her tiny paws moved with their own accord and the sound of the waves crashing reached her coyote-like ears, that was something she could never hate. the ocean, the sea, the feel of sand between her toes, and the bite of salt that stung her nostrils. mismatched eyes stared out on the crystal clear water that seemed to stretch out forever, the water lapping at her toes. for this moment she could forget everything, forget herself. RE: hold it together, birds of a feather - Huā - February 21, 2020 Huā took short excursions to the beach when the tides got low (although she could easily swim on her own.) She figured these were the best times to look for recruits inland. Even if she wasn't keen on foreigners. It was this which brought her back to the Cape- to see, not too far off the point where the land bridge met the island- a dark figure. Lithe and pointy as herself and her own family, a coastal wolf recognized from this far. That sort of figure told the story of a stranger raised upon a beach, and here she stood, and that was enough for Huā to consider her. But as she comes closer, the obsidian girl becomes familiar. Unmistakable, that dark fur, those lovely mismatched eyes- and a face that was still too youthful despite all the time that had passed. One of the girls who had escaped alongside the sisters- Daiyu. 黛玉! 黛玉!!She hollers as she breaks into a run, tail wagging behind her. RE: hold it together, birds of a feather - Daiyu - February 23, 2020 there was a voice, sweet music that called her name over and over. how long had it been since she had heard that voice, since she saw the dark face of a woman that helped free her from the life of enslavement? dual toned eyes moved from the view of the calm waves, turning focus on the woman that was running along a sandbar. where did that bridge lead to?
instantly her tail began to sway behind her, a mind of it's own but that was alright. a smile curves over her lips as she began to take steps closer to her savior. "hau, is that you?" she asked in a rather cheerful tone, had she finally found the ones she had been looking for? RE: hold it together, birds of a feather - Huā - February 28, 2020 The girl finally notices her, a smile growing on her lips. It was a beautiful smile, she thought; a shame that she could not have seen it more in their past. Many times she had seen the girl's tears, a smile was so uncommon a sight. But they were free now! There was no more reason to cry, and Huā was sure she could give the onyx girl a home with them. But only after this- their reunion. 是我。Huā cooed like melody to the younger, as she planted a wet licked kiss on dark cheek. 你好吗了?我想你了。 |
