frostmark - Ikkuma - February 21, 2020

Whoever wants it / has time! Tags for reference; open to anyone.

As heavily populated as the territory was, Ikkuma had yet to ingratiate herself in to any relationships. She had spent a few hours at rest before perusing the area, gathering the scents of the wolves she did not know or introducting herself swiftly to those that appeared in control; she had heard of the other eisen from Mahler when he had initiated her in to the collective, even seen them in passing as she made her rounds, but now she was on a new quest. Something of a meet-and-greet, but with more purpose.

He had also mentioned foxes terrorizing the area, and that was a tantalyzing enough target to warrant an extra patrol or two. Ikkuma hiked along the mountain's paths thereafter; she sought any sign of life beyond the canine variant, her neck arched as she focused her attention on the earth and all the scents upon it. Once the path forked she had a choice: seek out the scent of @Wylla to one side, @Wintersbane the opposite, or give up and go hunt down a fox or two.

RE: frostmark - Gracious - February 26, 2020

blood, a scent that captivated the nose of predators and a taste that could stop time. pale white and grey fur became stained with the vermillion color, the body of a failed escapee hung between her jaws. normally a warden of peace, gracious let the hunters and the mercenaries do their duties and keep the pack safe. but she could not deny that even she felt a personal duty to get rid of the pests that bothered sagtannet.

she was no expert at the art of rooting out other animals, her posture could be considered poor and her speed was lacking due to her larger size. yet, she had cornered one against the spire of rocks and faced it head on. a righteous fight with a few good scuffs and whatnot to her face. yet in the end, her massive size crushed the small red-haired beast. even in its final breaths it still fought, flailing around and smearing its own blood against gracious and the rock slate ground underneath.

another source of food for a cache, and one less fox in their home.

she left behind the bloodied spire rocks and soon before her path came a new face. agouti with deep shades of red, and a muscled body. gracious still towered over as she came into sight, but could not deny that this wolf looked strong, and surprsingly as she got closer, more feminine. finally, gracious paused her stride and halted in the middle of the path. grey eyes graze over the other, and soon out came a rumble from her throat. a chuff, a greeting she used for many.

RE: frostmark - Ikkuma - March 03, 2020

The woman could not make up her mind, so fate made it for her. She dipped along the crossroads to go one way but, as she did, a wind battered through the trees and the momentum caused a cascade of snowfall. The boughs could not withstand the immense snowfall and the added shuddering from the wind did not help matters - soon enough a great swell of white draped across Ikkuma's front end, forcing her down to her chest. While she tried to twist away there was just too much snow — not to forget, the branch which had held all the snow had snapped, and it collided with the small of her back, forcing her rear down too.

As the hubbub concluded, there was no motion what-so-ever from where she had been prematurely entombed. Her tail stuck out at an odd angle but lay there frozen, at least for a good handful of minutes. Then, mustering what energy she could, she tried to stand up - the whole ragged pile shuddering with the effort - and her tail bristled, but she could not push herself free of the dirt. Snow filled her nose, and she felt her breath against the fluffy layer that shrouded her face and forequarter. If she did not free herself soon she would surely suffocate!

a quiet conversation was the easiest route for gracious, but the world was always testing her. and this time, it wasn't simply just messing with her, it was messing with others. a loud *snap* and *ploof* -- snow covered the one she intended to talk to, with just a tail sticking out. a comical sight, but gracious came from a place of heavy snow; it could get really ugly if one is buried for too long. hypothermia, suffocation, and other problems she'd rather avoid.

she dropped her kill and galloped over to the other who was blanketed and visibly struggling. "ah! don't worry, i'll help get you out!" she exclaimed to the other underneath, hoping they'd hear her. gracious began to shovel away the white powder with her monstrous paws, not exactly sure where she was hitting, all that mattered was getting this wolf out. although gracious could do her best to dig, the other could keep her battle on and writhe free as more and more snow was pulled.
