in//out - Geneva - February 22, 2020 sunlight blanketed the meadow within which she tread, casting a yellow glow upon all that it touched but not any warmth that she could feel. the snow did not linger here; it was not like the north where the permafrost solidified the earth, and she had not seen lichen in many miles. around her wreathed a forest, and it was silent. too still for a place of such life. perhaps in the spring there was more to this place than met the eye? she must hope for better; winter was a hard time no matter where one prowled, and geneva would not let the mild nature of this wilderness fool her. she crept along until the meadow spanned all around her. in the center was a boulder which looked as if it had been cleaved in two, then set back together haphazardly - a game played by the old gods, as her mother might have once said. thinking of her brought a frown to the girl's face, and after a brief reprieve to observe her surroundings, she began to stride along again. a shadow followed after her, a weight upon her shoulders, as if a dark cloud loomed overhead. RE: in//out - Uriel - February 23, 2020 Uriel had ventured to the Broken Boulder only a few times. It was a interesting area, to say for sure, as the large mountain-like rock was carved to two, a home for some. However she preferred the forests, containing both a hunting ground, a home to claim. Far larger then what this territory could provide- however, it was still a neighbor. The lioness felt she should be aware who ventures around, and careful on who came too near.
It should be embarassing, as Uriel is learning on the mistake she had done. Ventured too closely to claimed lands, a literal neighbor to them. And it seemed she was right to visit, as a wolf stood at the entrance. The other seemed interested, she thought, and approached her with ease, "You curious?" she asked. RE: in//out - Geneva - February 24, 2020 a voice penetrated the stillness. it jarred her from her thoughts. rather than raising her eyes to meet the stranger's face as anyone else might do, the rogue tries to make herself smaller - shrinking down, back, away; electrified by a moment of panic as she realized she was not as alone as first believed. curious? no. hungry, cautious - yes. the girl snakes a little bit closer, reaching with a crane of her neck to try and sniff the air - or maybe bits of the stranger's fur - without getting too close. the last thing geneva wanted was to make an enemy here. without her parents to protect her, or her brother to keep watch, she has had to be extremely selective with each situation. should this meeting show any sign of danger she would be gone. but there was nothing to the stranger's scent but the vaguely clinical musk of pine-scent. geneva looks to the trees lining her surroundings but inevitably turns to stare at the wolf bathed in gold threads. where am i?a question for a question. RE: in//out - Uriel - February 24, 2020 "A broken boulder," Uriel chuckled, hoping to ease the tension the other gave. They seemed meek, it was how she presented within her silvers, and submissive. Most loners that had been met were proud ones, some apologetic, some charismatic, but not too many were a shy variant. It was a nice change, but she also wished to not be a wolf who looked like a devil. Especially so, as the lioness smiled and let the girl inspect her as she so wished.
"I am Uriel of Skyward," she greeted, "territory is neighbors of this area- The Bracken woods." she inferred why she was near, "and you are?" |
