freak out in a moonage daydream - Geneva - February 24, 2020 as badly as she wanted to curl up and rest through the night, it was too cold. geneva knew she could have burrowed in to the snow and insulated herself for a few hours if she was desperate enough - but she had encountered a few wolves by this point. whether they were friends or foes, she was too on-edge to let even the whisper of sleep take hold of her. so she moved through the night; stealthy enough with the moody sky creeping overhead. in the morning a light drizzle began; the conditions were not quite right for snow, an oddity in the taiga, and the feeling of the scattered drops upon her back was, admittedly, refreshing. geneva was incredibly tired by the time the sun rose up. she took a few moments to shelter herself among some white-barked trees, relieved herself against one of them, and carried on -- at least until her path was obliterated by a snaking river she had not expected to find. there was no way to tell where it began nor ended; but it was there, sprawling before her like a great blue ribbon. bits of ice and snow floated lethargically across the surface. geneva carefully moved down to the bank and probed at some of the ice with a paw or a touch of her nose; some pieces drifted away from her, carried by the slightest momentum. others sagged in to the water and were soon drowning. nothing that would uphold her weight. with a deep breath sighing out of her, she sank to her haunches and wondered, now what? RE: freak out in a moonage daydream - Reiko - February 24, 2020 Perhaps she had gone too far. Her eagerness to find and bring back lost wolves of Uaine Gorsedd who were not yet aware of their disbanding - had left her tired and weary from the travelling. Only one, she could only find one lost wolf of Uaine, Sativa, and now she would return with fresh faces that would follow her to something new instead. The Taiga was beautiful, cold, everything she had ever wanted and more. Some places were thicker in snow than others, it was only thickening the deeper she wandered into the Taiga - but this would not be the place for them to settle down. She had already decided to stay near to Kaistleoki once they had found their way back to the river. She wandered around Whitebark Stream, where Artyom had laid his claim along with where Grezig and Kavik had retreated to raise their new young. At least she now she had a better idea of where they were located, should she need to take Artyom up on his offer. But now that she had made it this far, she began her journey back to Emberwood where she would meet with Ibis on their journey to Kaistleoki. Just as she turned to face the route with which she took - a dark woman caught her eye. No one that she knew, but someone to ask for the missing folk. With a gentle stride and a cautious smile, she approached with a dip of her head. Greetings. Her voice was soft but beckoned to be heard. |
