Home.

No longer was Yuèlóng the wisp of an idea, no longer was it a distant goal. The time had come, the people were gathered. Some relatives- people she'd played with as children, never knowing that one day she would be their empress in a faraway land. Others strangers, refugees she had found and drawn in one way or another. Today they would no longer be two separate parts. Huā intended to unite them under her lead, the lead of an inexperienced yet confident mermaid, crawled up from the depths of the sea.

And together they would rule the coast.

As the moon just showed itself over the line of horizon, evening dawning upon the Wilds, the siren made her way up the hill. To the top of Dragon Heights, hoping to kiss the stars in the sky. Once she was at the peak, pebbles scattered and falling hundreds of meters below with her every shift of paws, she threw back her head. Her voice was lovely, truly the music of a siren, an aria which proved the place as theirs. Her perked ears would await the songs of her people to join in the ghostly harmony.

RE: YUÈLÒNG | 月龙 - Nukilik - February 27, 2020

Life had brightened since she had arrived upon the island. Arrived - what an odd term for washing ashore! She had awakened more than anything, utterly against her own will, but at least Nukilik could walk for a while without finding any issues with her body now; the bruises had faded, and the memory of what put her in to the sea was locked away. It was a fresh start. Plus, with the sisters busy with their own duties, she was given leave to explore in her own time. It felt good to be on her feet again.

She had roamed to a narrow strip of beach which was more slate than sand, investigating clusters of sparsely growing grasses as they poked around the snow. Nothing remarkable to report from any of those spots, but Nukilik wasn't entirely invested. It was the sound of a howl that caught her attention next and drew her eyes from the faraway cobalt-blue of the water, around to the heights; a voice sprang from there like a fount, trickling at first and gathering momentum. Soon Nukilik was snared by that voice - like a siren's song - and felt compelled to tilt her own chin and join the call.

Rough as her own voice was, and deeper than the average woman's, it paired well with Hua's - and as others rose up to join in too, she felt a sense of relief flood through her as she ran out of breath. This was home now. At least, for a little while.

RE: YUÈLÒNG | 月龙 - Orochi - February 27, 2020

When he first came here he despised every aspect of it. He hated the sand and the smell and every wolf that resided here. Now—after a few weeks of living here—he couldn't say he despised the island. Did everything annoy him? Certainly. It wasn't all that great, but it was his. This is why he joined song. This island was his home too.

RE: YUÈLÒNG | 月龙 - Ruò - February 27, 2020

ruo was a recluse, preferring the lifestyle of her own whims, but this time, the winds brought her in the right direction. she wasn't close with her family, but the siren still had the heart for them despite the annoyance that came with. when the seas brought forward the intention of the 'Yuelong,' she thought of a jest, but played along.

it was no longer a jest. she grew found of the isle and her private rock, there was no restrictions of the old ways. she held the freedom of the desire, and the perfect play to gaze at the sea and star, for what more could she want? ruo heard the call of their official claim, and for once, she grinned. within the darkness no one to see, a smile appeared as she joined along in their chorus of cheer.

Yuelong was now, and she too was here. here, where she could be someone...

could?

smile was short, as a thought came to be. but for now, enjoy a song of the sea.

RE: YUÈLÒNG | 月龙 - Daiyu - February 28, 2020

the dancer had finally found the three sisters that gave her freedom, the women that had been like a family to her when things got rough or the lessons got violent. it was hua that held her when she cried, she could still feel every punishment when she closed her eyes. she shook her head, no, not any more.

now she was here, a new joke, a fresh start. maybe her life could have a meaning, maybe she could break the mental collar that still keeps her from ever uttering individuality. only one way to find out. with a deep intake of breath she lifted her nose to the luminous moon and let out a song that was both melodic and forceful. she added her voice to theirs. this was their home, this was her home!

RE: YUÈLÒNG | 月龙 - Lei - February 28, 2020

here now, here now, here now.

the wait was over, yeulong finally breathed fire into the throats of its inhabitants. hua's siren song wrapped through the isle of theirs, and soon other voices claimed the land with it. lei lei had found herself alone in a cavern like structure when she heard the call.

when soon other voices came in, she ran out of the structure and lifted her muzzle to the air. her voice, as loud as the element she was named after, boomed through her part of the isle. shockin gno doubt, but subtly her tone became more apparent as it meshed nicely with the other tones. she was here, here now. here at her home.

RE: YUÈLÒNG | 月龙 - Kun - February 29, 2020

finally, the hard work of his cousins has paid off. the reward? a empire of their own making that follows the customs that he is both used to and most comfortable with. kun, not as active in the foundation as others, is nevertheless proud of their work and is content to, at the very least, be a small part of it. what part he intends to play in it's future ...well, he doesn't know. his biased disposition doesn't lend him the epithet as the friendliest — and he's not; content as he is to limit his socializing to known family and less to the numerous unknowns that haunt their shores as fellow packmates.

when the sound of their voices rise into a melodious crescendo as one; the seadragon tilts his muzzle and adds his own voice to theirs before resuming his combing of the beach.
