A scream permanently lodged in my throat - Jocasta - March 03, 2020 The first thing she did was find a burrow, the strongest smelling one, and uproot whatever had been buried there. Within she found a fresh rabbit and an assortment of feathers, a few forgotten bones. These she ignored. The rabbit was hoisted free and then shaken to clear the body of excess soil, at which point Jo fell upon it and tore it to pieces. Satisfied by this meal, she tosses the inedible skull back in the burrow and covers it over again. RE: A scream permanently lodged in my throat - Eirwyn - March 04, 2020 the wraith is a sore, cursed thing. her sides are swollen, her steely demeanor frayed. she is hounded constantly by cravings, sickness, aches, and restlessness. and so when she stumbles across the woman in the wood, it is hardly surprising that no greeting slips from her. only her gaze, made sharp and cutting but hate and ire, serves to make any form of greeting as she steps toward the woman, outlined with tension. RE: A scream permanently lodged in my throat - Jocasta - March 06, 2020 The burdensome sound of something large moving through the woods stops Jo in her tracks. She is already looming over the freshly covered burrow. This sound is enough to draw her attention away from it and with her eyes scanning the surroundings, she does not take long to notice the round shape of yet another pregnant wolf. Her immediate thought was, 'Is this place full of child brides?' as she had only met a pair of wolves so far; aside from Serem who might have been a little older, the sentiment fit. Jocasta's expression remained stoic. She watched the girl a little bit longer in silence, gauging her mood (which did not seem too pleasant), and broke the silence by murmuring to her. You must be the other mother-to-be. Not happy with the experience?Judging from that hard look in her eyes and the tension emanating from her body, Jo already had her answer. |
