Stop - Press Restart - Rosencrantz - March 08, 2020 @Raleska for rank challenge, re-do
Snow bombarded the terrain as the wind whips it around in its clutches. He had challenged Erzulie and Aningan, Rosalyn was now out of his grasp as a Beta being a position he could not challenge for and so now his target could only be Raleska. Perhaps this would bring them closer too as the others did for him - the only way for him to bonb with another living thing, the only tactic he knew of in a way to get to know another living being without it getting incredibly awkward and personal. Wandering away from the border, he approached closer to the center of their terrain - once pleased with the location, he lifted his head and called for the Gamma in a challenging tone right off the bat. Once she appeared, there would be no surprises, she should know his intentions right away. RE: Stop - Press Restart - Raleska - March 08, 2020 feel free to PP her, whatever makes sense <3
Raleska froze as a howl for her cut through the wind. Immediately, her blood began to boil. This pack might have been her mother's vision, but its culture was Raleska's nightmare. Resentment for it all thickened in her blood, an anger growing in her chest as she stalked out for the one-eyed bastard that dared attempt to usurp her. Rosencrantz was in her sights, but he was not the true perpetrator of all of her pent-up angst as of late.. he was just the unfortunate man in her crosshairs. Raleska came at Rosencrantz at a dead run, wrath clouding her common sense. She was nowhere near the experienced fighter he was, and in a better mindset Raleska might have made her moves more carefully, but not today. Today's Raleska was filled to the brim with fury and personal angst, and it came out in the way she lunged for the man's muzzle, her face contorted into a hideous grimace of hate. RE: Stop - Press Restart - Rosencrantz - March 08, 2020 Round 1
<3 Today was not the day he should have chose to challenge - unless Raleska was always this intense with her challenges, she was defending her position from him after all, so perhaps it was not unusual at all. She chose to run at him with a furious glare, her target was obvious and to defend his only tool to fight, he drew his muzzle into his chest just enough to shield him from being controlled by the snout. Teeth graced the bridge of his nose and he took the oportunity by being under her maw to strike. He'd try to grab onto her neck from here, using her momentum to his advantage, her blind fury to his ability. With no intention to kill or maim the girl, there wasn't as much power behind his strike as it should - though the feeling of teeth against your neck was probably enough with or without power. RE: Stop - Press Restart - Raleska - March 08, 2020 Maybe two or three months ago, Raleska wouldn't have taken things so personally. But lately, life had sucked. This was just more more thing to pile onto the shitstorm that was her life, and Raleska was finally (misguidedly) pushing back. She lunged full throttle, and should have known it would be easy for Rosencrantz to evade most of her attack. She was too amped up by her own fury to think rationally, and his counter caught her full-bore and by surprise. His teeth raked her neck, and all Raleska saw was white as she swung her muzzle towards him reactively, pale teeth flashing. She knew the next few seconds would spell who won, and pushed back with startling furor -- yet, in doing so she left her throat wide open, as in this moment she was only intent on an outlet for her burgeoning rage. RE: Stop - Press Restart - Rosencrantz - March 10, 2020 Round 2, sorry this post is kinda eh ;3;
Leaving herself wide open, Rosencrantz would have been a fool to not cease the opportunity as it stretched out before him. Even if the challenge wasn't mean for more than an opportunity for the two of them to meet and bond over the one thing he knew how - he would not go easy on the young woman. It was a challenge after all. With the intention to hold her down, teeth reached out to pin and hold rather than slice and maim. Whatever was clouding the woman's mind, it just might cost her the rank. Should his grip be placed, it would spell the end of this challenge sooner rather than later. RE: Stop - Press Restart - Raleska - March 11, 2020 It was over, before it ever truly began. Nothing cut through wrath like the feeling of cold teeth, hot breath, against your throat. Raleska's blood chilled, her fury abating. She slouched, ears pressed to her skull and the growl that had thundered from her throat cut short with a clap. She waited with her breath held, cursing her own stupidity, cursing Rosencrantz, and cursing the whole god damn beach for ever existing. RE: Stop - Press Restart - Rosencrantz - March 12, 2020 It took only moments before the reality sank in, her body relaxing, the guard upon her back and rolling growls easing - he was victorious. With that he was quick to let go and give Raleska space, taking steps back to give her a moment to recollect herself. There was no need for the paladin to voice the outcome, he was certain she was very much aware and didn't need the reminder of her loss. Instead, he carefully watched her, allowed the young woman to speak first or walk away to lament her loss. Instead he stood quietly, and would only part from her company with the new title to brandish as soon as he was certain she wanted nothing to do with him further. Should she wander off quietly, he would do the same. RE: Stop - Press Restart - Raleska - March 13, 2020 The moment she relented, Raleska’s future was spelled out for her. She could turn now while he was relaxed, and rip his throat — but what end would it serve? She wasn’t her mother. No, she would accept this loss — and redirect her burgeoning anger and grief elsewhere. He was just abiding by the laws of their pack, and of nature — who was Raleska to take it so personally? She rose quickly, shaking out her ruff roughly. For a moment she met Rosencrantz’ gaze as if she were to say something noble - congratulations, perhaps - yet the words died on her tongue and with a shake of her head she turned swiftly, and skulked off. |
