you were the one - Chrysanthemum - August 15, 2014 I made it seem like Chrys had gone MIA for a few days to make up for her not knowing about Nerian's mateship and the details surrounding it... "Nerian," she questioned the blank den and repeated. Entering her head into their hollow home, Chrysanthemum searched in vain for recent mentions of her admired companion. However, even her cache at the back of their space seemed somewhat vacant. Furthering her inquisition, she was bothered by the neutral scent that gathered even with forceful sniffs of the arched walls. It was unlike their home not to reek of whatever medicines were in season. Withdrawing herself with a troubled expression, Chrys repeated the same behavior outside to the same results. Nerian was gone, and she had been for a few evenings now. Perhaps just as many as Chrysanthemum... However, the juvenile remained biased in her concern. She knew why she herself had gone, but the herbalist's disappearance was a bothersome mystery. Thinking back to their most recent encounter, the child could recall only their usual warmth. In fact, Nerian had seemed especially pleased in the days leading up to that now seemingly fateful meeting. Out of ignorance Chrysanthemum had not questioned why, assuming that it had something to do with a particular flower coming into bloom, or something of that nature. In retrospect though, she hated herself for not being more concerned with the exact cause of her nurse's sudden happiness. Squinting at the sun when it began to bother her face, the young woman became resolved with a grimace. She would no doubt have to explain her own most recent spell of absence, but it was little charge for assuring Nerian's whereabouts. Pointing her nose towards the high noon sun she called for her through tones of childish longing. RE: you were the one - Nerian - August 15, 2014 Nerian was at the garden tending to a very rare and poorly withered cayenne pepper plant when she heard the call of the child. Nerian smiled, she missed her little one, and she was old enough that Nerian didn't fear breaking her like she did Thistle's pups. Nerian howled to her in return drawing the young one to the garden, that den was not hers anymore and she didn't want Ragnar thinking she was trying to sleep there anymore, she was in enough trouble already. While she waited for Chrysanthemum she used her conch shell to bring water back and forth to the garden watering each plant. Under her care all but the pepper plant were thriving. The pepper plant was the newest edition and might have been doing better if she had gotten it here sooner instead of leaving it to scorch on the ground for a few days while she tended her sister wife. Nerian finished watering the medicinal plants and sat where she could offer the weakest plant her shadow protecting it from what heat she could. RE: you were the one - Chrysanthemum - August 16, 2014 Nerian's sweet serenade was inimitable. Rather than disturbing the collective ambiance it seemed to soothe it instead. Hushing the artless caws of several chattering ravens, it melted into the surrounding with tones of heartfelt mirth. Of course in Chrysanthemum's opinion it was the best amongst them and she listened until its conclusion with such biased fondness. Whimpering as she gathered herself from what had become a temporary trance, her feet pattered the ground without advancement as her tail twirled excitedly behind her. They would have their reunion. Tossing her head in exuberant abandon, she issued a broken rendition of, coming mom -or something of that nature. As one might assume, she made short work of the distance between them, taking the well worn path that separated the herbalist's known home and garden. However, once there, the juvenile forced some self control upon herself -lest she accidentally ruin a single treasured petal. Watching her steps all the way to Nerian, she whined endlessly to the woman until they were together again. Forgetting her supposed manners then she bucked up on her hind legs and attempted to overwhelm her nurturer in a smothering of kisses forced upon her by the weight of awkward but well meaning attempt at an embrace. RE: you were the one - Nerian - August 17, 2014 if there is slight infection there Nerian will have a different route of treatment. If she wants a noticeable scar with no fur growth on it then refuse further treatment and f she wants just a small harry potter style scar then Nerian could treat her a little more Just let me know which way you want to go :D Nerian waved her tail along the ground managing somehow to keep upright under the onslaught of the exuberant greeting. Where have you been Chrysanthemum, much has changed in so little time. I am no longer allowed to den in my little home, so I have been using it as a place to dry the herbs. Nerian lifted her muzzle and sniffed Chrysanthemum's head gently she began grooming the last remaining poultice away from it, she wanted to make sure there was no infection there, if all had gone well then skin would be raw and tender and a scar may form, but if Nerian used the last of her arnica poultice that she had made she much be able to make the swelling go down so the scar would be less noticeable when the fur grew back completely. and The arnica poultice wouldn't go to waste like it was now. I think one more treatment might due you some good Chrysanthemum, after that you''ll be good as new Nerian didn't move to get the poultice just yet she wanted to enjoy Chrysanthemum some first. RE: you were the one - Chrysanthemum - August 18, 2014 Quote:Guess the fate of her face is gonna have to wait :( Sometimes, Chrysanthemum worried whether she had been as tender with her natural parents. Squinting, so as to eschew the dread, she burrowed herself further into Nerian. As was common, the herbalist taunted her nose with scents of; spice, earth and, Ragnar . Withdrawing herself as the revelation took its course, she had begun to form the question when Nerian mentioned it first. Change -the word tore her heart to pieces. What was ever so wrong with yesterday, she wondered as her littered chest quivered and quaked. Change, had taken her from Poet Vale. Change, had given Bughuul the notion to wound her. Change, had now -now it had come for Nerian. On the outside of her ruination the nurse was going on about something but whatever it was ended without answer. Shaking her head as she took a few steps backwards, her paw landed somewhat poignantly upon a plant as she demanded, "but what about me." She wanted to say more. She wanted to make the doom that was settling go away, but she couldn't. She could only stand there choking on her emotions. RE: you were the one - Nerian - August 19, 2014 I will always be close by for you, but I do have to listen to our alpha... my husband, I'm sure he won't mind if I occasionally sleep outside his .. Our shared den and with you. He just won't let me do so every night. Nerian's deft tongue cleaned all the remaining poultice off and she spit it onto the ground, it wasn't very tasty. I will still spend as much time with you as you'll have of me. Nerian offered her a gentle cheek nuzzle A lot has changed but yet it is still the same for the most part. Ragnar has taken me as his mate along side Thistle. Thistle and I are what you would call Sister-wives Nerian wondered if she understood this concept so she waited to see if there were questions to be asked of her. As always she would answer as truthfully as she could, She hid nothing from Chrysanthemum. RE: you were the one - Chrysanthemum - August 24, 2014 Even thinking about the void created by Nerian's absence was too much for Chrysanthemum. There would be no more awaiting the nurse's return, no more shared evening chores, no more -anything."But that's not fair," she blurted without explanation. For surely Nerian could understand the uneven hand that Chrys had been dealt thus far in life. Or did she? How could her heart not continue to pain for the perpetually misfortunate orphan? Didn't she see that Ragnar was just, just -a wet turd! Chrysanthemum needed her, he was just being greedy. Shutting her eyes as she turned her head out of reach, the juvenile slid her ears back while sighing. Perhaps the worst thing was the herbalist's passive opinion on it all. As if, she wasn't going to miss any of it. Wounded by this more than anything, Chrysanthemum pulled her head back with her remaining eye glossed in heartfelt hurt. "Fine," she submitted quietly. If the nurse was so okay with things then there was no use in arguing. "Go," she commanded with a hushed voice. Really, the puppy wanted to run away herself but, her legs weren't strong enough at the moment. In fact, she refused to squander what remained of her strength wishing Nerian well in her new position. "Go and be with them." The vice in her voice was terse. For all of her personal affliction, Chrysanthemum hadn't even paused to consider the oddness of the arrangement. After all, it wasn't everyday that a man took two wives -was it? Shaking her head of this lesser concern, her lips crumpled into a grimace as she became defiantly silent. As far as she was concerned there was nothing left to say. Nothing left between them if all of this were true. RE: you were the one - Nerian - August 27, 2014 Nerian didn't move, she had no idea the torment the young pup was going though and if she did she might compare it to her own. Nerian was still so very unsure if this was want she had wanted. Yes she had wanted it but was it really what she had actually wanted... Be careful what you wish for came to the forefront of her mind yet again. Nerian seemed confused, Why would I do that right now? I am here with you, and I want to spend time with you. just because Rangar is my Husband now, doesn't mean I've changed. My priorities shifted a little but I am still the same wolf I always was She said that last part was less conviction for she didn't believe that, the wolf that was taken from northumbria long ago was not the same wolf that stood before Chrysanthemum now. I know very well what has happened isn't fair to Thistle Cloud and I need to some how make it up to her, would you like to help me? I intend on making Stavanger Bay the richest for herbs but that means traveling and collecting them from other places and bringing them here too She hoped to distractify Chrysanthemum from the topic at hand and somehow show the young female that she was still interested in her as a wolf. RE: you were the one - Chrysanthemum - August 30, 2014 As an even smaller child Chrysanthemum, had never been prone to tantrums. Her expectations had always been neutral and, when chastised she had usually accepted without fuss. Perhaps that was the reason for her erratic outburst now. Whereas most would have screamed and stalked away, the juvenile was stuck in an awkward limbo. She didn't know what to do. She just wanted Nerian to get some sense. She wanted her to forsake the foolishness and come back home. Reluctantly listening to the herbalist's response, her face remained tense. She wouldn't be consoled so easily. Not this time. Vanilla ears stiffened as they can forward and an irritated snarl was emitted. The last thing she wanted to hear was mention of Ragnar. To think Chrys had aspired to impress him! To gain his attention in the way that a daughter might. Her flesh burned over the ignorance of her previous assumptions. The hopelessness of her goal to fashion a family out of the two of them. Although she had lagged somewhat, the solution finally occurred to Chrysanthemum. She wanted -no needed to go far away from Nerian. Pacing backwards while shaking her head, she failed to speak for a few moments. "I don't want any part of this ," she spat. "Why should I? You ruined what I wanted. I thought- I thought... but she couldn't say it. Not without force. She had always been scared to confess it out loud and now that it was too late the words were even heavier. "I thought- ...you wanted me like... a daughter. RE: you were the one - Nerian - September 05, 2014 you have stumbled upon Nerian second biggest fear that she needs to get over as a character :D Neiran normally stoic expression, showed genuine concern she moved to follow Chrysanthemum but her feet planted on the ground as the young wolf spoke, Nerian could almost see the earth crumbling away from below her all that was left was the sight of young wolf and Nerian's own breathing was overwhelming in it's sound, her heart almost tried to escape her chest. Her eyes frozen open unable to blink she was unable to hear anything else. A daughter?? A wolf who depended on her? Nerian felt her skin tighten and her eyes burn. Nerian's voice was hoarse and whispered I'm no mother.... Neiran trembled out the words, if she could she'd back peddle and run she would but she couldn't, she couldn't move Neiran felt paralyzed. |
