Girl's Night - Vallkyrie - April 06, 2020

For @Ying, though others are definitely free to join!

Their little sleep over was long overdue. Vallkyrie hand slipped away from her pack with a warning to her sister, @Valencia, that she would be gone in the morning and not return until the following day. It was enough so that none had to worry if someone like @Mal would notice she was gone.

Now it is dawn and the early morning it grey and dusky. It rains only in a fine mist, even more dampened by the rolling tides. The tides were changing and as she crossed the sand bridge that would bring her to the island the sea lifted, threatening her as it swelled and washed along the sands she walked across. She would make it, she knew, though if she were kept waiting she knew she would have no choice but to go further and into the territory.

She calls out through the gloomy morning for @Ying whom could offer her safe passage.

Although somewhat surprised by the call, she did not hesitate in her response. Ying recognized her friend's voice and sped toward the border, greeting the Neverwinter wolf with an uncharacteristically friendly embrace.

She stepped back and looked Vallkyrie over, smiling as her tail began a smooth wag. You here 'cause of my invite? Ying asked. A distraction was exactly what she'd needed.

RE: Girl's Night - Vallkyrie - April 07, 2020

Vallkyrie toed in the waters, the bridge which led others to the secluded island beginning to be swallowed by the ocean. Splashing about, it didnt take long for her friend to arrive and offer her a happy embrace. Vallkyrie responded in turn to it, tail waving happily behind her. Of course! She could only hope it wasnt poor timing. Figured we could hang out for the day. Show me around, hunt in some tide pools, meet some family... Vallkyrie tossed out a few ideas, her sharp shoulders rolling. Kyr was all hers for the day so long as she'd have her.

She listened to each suggestion, intrigued by Vallkyrie's interest. Ying smiled and replied: We will do these all. Huā likely didn't know anything about the visit; going to see the Empress would be their first stop, if only after some conversation (and a small meal, of course).

Ying turned to face the territory and began walking inland, flagging her tail for Vallkyrie to follow. What you want? Water-fish or the land-fish? The eastern beach was littered with traps, likely carrying some goods.

Ying was in agreement to everything and after she turned, whipping her tail as though to wave her on, Vallkyrie danced on long, thin legs after her friend. Side by side, they were just as opposite as Kyr remembered before and she smiles at the thought - she black with a white stripping on her underside and Ying white with black stripping her back. Water fish! Kyr speaks happily with a waving of her tail. It had been some time since she had eaten salty fish from the sea.

alright. within minutes, they'd arrived on the beach. ying immediately began sniffing at each of the traps, nose scrunched with disgust at the harsh smell of spoils.

disappointed, she looked up at vallkyrie. these are bad, ying sighed, we can go in for some, but salt water is hard on eyes and skin. the decision was her friend's to make.

RE: Girl's Night - Vallkyrie - April 20, 2020

Vallkyrie follows suit to the collection of water traps which lay along the beach side where rocks and wood were, trapping the fish which had swam there and couldnt get out come the receding of water. Now as the water began to rise again soon the spoilt food would be left to the sea to claim again and the creatures within it to devour.

Ying explained  how the sea stung her eyes and was harsh on the skin. It was odd to hear, granted she lived on the island though remembered Ying explaining she didnt exactly like living on the ocean at all. Kyr was used to the salty waters, perhaps not as much as some, but still enjoyed it.

We can go inland and find some fish caught with the tides. Have you any streams or creeks that come in off the ocean? They would be fish of the sea, having come in from the streams perhaps for spawning. She was not sure, but the brackish water was much less harsh then the oceanside itself.

moving inland sounded like a good idea. she nodded and motioned toward the island's center where most of the freshwater could be found. we are friends? ying asked, now walking in that direction, because, i have something to tell.

sharing the news with astaroth had taken most of the pressure from her shoulders, so she could only assume that sharing with kyr might do the same. the river was coming into view; ying motioned for kyr to stand beside her as she examined the waters.

RE: Girl's Night - Vallkyrie - April 23, 2020

They began their stroll inland and Vallkyrie's attention began to dart everywhere - to the rocky hill which laid near the center of the territory, to the bit of forestry which cling around in on one side of the island in the distance. There were little hidden treasures which Kyr had yet to know of including underground pools but for the moment was simply content in enjoying viewing the new land.

When Ying spoke again, Kyr's ears perked to attention and she side glanced at the white woman as they moved. Of course, why wouldn't we be? A furrowed brow rose as she mocked a look of skepticism. Stopping, she came to stand by Ying at the little river which came off the shore and into the woodland of the island. What's up?

RE: Girl's Night - Ying - April 25, 2020

she couldn't help but smile, hearing her companion's curiousity. ying dipped her paw into the river's murky bank and began feeling for the current to guess whether they would find success. i am not sure yet, so please do not tell anyone, ying pleaded.

maybe, i am pregnant. ying dipped her head into the water and pulled up one thin fish, it's scales an opalescent silver. she looked up at kyr to gauge her reaction before dipping back down.

RE: Girl's Night - Vallkyrie - April 28, 2020

Closing this up for Ying going on hiatus.

Ying announces she may be pregnant, doesnt even give Vallkyrie a chance to respond before dipping her head in the water to catch a fish. The look on Kyr's face is priceless by the time Ying lifts back up her head with her catch. It isnt surprise of the fish, but the possibility of puppies. Really!? Its almost a squeal and Kyr smacks her skinny ass on the riverbed and squares Ying down. Screw the fish. Tell me all the details! And from there she would silence, listening on to her friend as the say led on into night whilst they spent their time together.
