You Look Like A Nice Person - Conquest - May 02, 2020 5C°, currently it is light drizzle and set during the morning. Located in Kintla Flatlands, whitefish river | tagging: @Evergreen
After a nice night's rest, Connie was still al little sore for using her legs more than she was accustomed to - but she was more concerned with the lands than she was with he heavy feeling in her paws and legs that demanded her to continue resting. It was so open and bright in comparison to the cozy mist and thick canopies that choked out the light of the woods of home. Every smell was different, every face, the light was almost blinding and though it was nice in the field of flowers with all the colourful bugs - it was starting to frighten her as she longed for the dark woods. She could even be happy with a few nibbles from @Famine to just to remind her she was home. Cautiously she wandered the river's side, at least this was a little familiar... home had a river too. RE: You Look Like A Nice Person - Evergreen - May 02, 2020 A yawn broke about his jaws as the bear neared his river. After an early morning patrol to ensure the borders were fine, Evergreen’s stomach rumbled with a need for fish. He thought of catching a few extras for the rest of the pack, too, as per usual. Sometimes he wishes he had Thistle along to make sure he hadn’t gone about thinning the population too much. Dazed and still feeling half-asleep, the bear lumbered along without any rush. Morning song birds chirping, the soft drizzle of rain, overall a comforting day thus far. Not a hair seems out of place. Round ears swerve forth, however, as mismatched green eyes catch the sight of the fireball at the water’s edge. At first he worried that she is much too young to be close to the strength of their river, but it also fascinated him to see a youth curious about it just as he had been in his early childhood (and that fascination still lived and breathed in Evergreen’s core). Hey there, uhm, kiddo,he approaches—a grin broad on his face and his tail wagging behind him. He moves slowly, as if he might startle her, and as he grows closer he gets lower towards the ground until he crawls and practically flops on the ground next to her. His large paws stretch towards his pride and joy. Pretty cool, huh? Ever see one so big?Maybe if she had it would be a hint to finding her family. RE: You Look Like A Nice Person - Conquest - May 02, 2020 She could almost feel herself relaxing at the sound of the water rushing by - but it was the sight of the large brown man who she met with the other guy that brought the hairs along her nape to rise uncomfortably and legs to grow stiff. She turned her back to the river and glared daggers at him as he approached, lips turning up to try and spook him away with the scary milk weapons she still had. Cautious and apprehensive, even as he flopped down to the ground - he was just too big for comfort. The other guy was at least a little smaller than this. She felt like all he had to do was just step on her and that was it! (oh the day she realizes she will be just as big and terrifying LOL). Too close, she faux lunged, snapping at the air around him with little teeth, despite her fear of him it was the only thing she knew how to do to try and protect herself. He was talking about the river, did she see something that big? Thinking back to the pebble beached river that ran through the misty woods of home, she couldn't really tell how big it was with her stature, so she assumed yes and nodded slowly to communicate that - a little growl rumbling in her the whole dang time. RE: You Look Like A Nice Person - Evergreen - May 02, 2020 Try as he might to appear a passive creature, the young one is evident spooked—feisty, too. Instead of darting for cover, she stands her ground with little daggers shown in threat. The bear has no doubt that they would hurt—Evergreen now feels sorry for himself and the parents rearing the kids of the future, there is no doubt that he would soon be at the end of those teeth. Yet, he hoped not too soon. His ears airplane out to the side, a low whine and tail wag again to display that he is not here to harm. Merely to check on the youngster. How powerful she must feel to have the bear kneel to her tiny presence. Though all he gets from her vocally is a growl that rumbles continually—a storm cloud ready to burst—she gives a nod. Excitement grows at the information. He could certainly let his scouts know then, where to look. That is neat! I love rivers, which is why we have settled here,he explains, have you eaten fish before? Once you have, I promise you won’t go back.He is bias on many levels, and most wolves he has met dislike the taste of the scaly creatures, but he could only hope that this feisty girl might take a liking to it. RE: You Look Like A Nice Person - Conquest - May 02, 2020 The way he sounded and acted did indeed make her feel ten feet tall - perhaps not the best of things with her attitude in consideration... and bloodline. Though she does not lunge for another false attack, she does not relax quite yet either. Her muscles ache at how stiff they were, he continued to talk and she simply tilts her head as to try and understand where he was going with all this. Fish? What the hell was that? Squinting at him in confusion she shook her head 'no' at this mythical thing he spoke about - never go back? Does that mean she will never be able to eat rabbit or deer severe again!? She had just gotten into those after the milk they barely got enough of to get her to where she was now, now she could never get it again!! BLASPHEMY!! OUTRAGE!! She frowns and was pretty apprehensive about the whole thing. RE: You Look Like A Nice Person - Evergreen - May 02, 2020 At the shake of her head, Evergreen gets to his feet—perhaps a tad too quick, simply due to enthusiasm. Blind to her inner turmoil despite the deepened frown, the bear is eager to share his trade! Here, I’ll catch one for you.He announces, and with that, steps into the water. Trudging deeper within the shallows, he waits with baited breath. Mismatched green eyes peer at the surface as he lies prepped to catch. It does not take long for the bear to spot one, and once he does, he charges forth, splashing about with massive paws as his head expertly dips under the surface and snatches the flailing fish from it’s watery home. It smacks about for a few moments, until Evergreen crunches down. Pride swells in his chest, he shifts and trots back to shore where he’d left the pup. RE: You Look Like A Nice Person - Conquest - May 02, 2020 He gets up, too quickly! Like a flash she moved too, this time she aimed to bite into him if he didn't move fast enough to get out of her miniature fury's way. She stumbles and moves out of his way, eyeing him with fire as he plunges into the water and does... something. Making distance between herself and water's edge, the water where he was now in. The dives under! Half his body is just gone, gone!! She barks and growls, bounces on the spot and growls, and only grows rowdier as he COMES BACK UP FROM THE DEPTHS OF THE DISAPPEARANCE WITH SOMETHING WIGGLING IN HIS MOUTH. What IS that thing?! It wiggles and flops manically, a beast that came out of absolute nowhere, no legs, just a big face with a thing at the end that looks like a tail and giant bulging eyes that she could swear was looking into her future. She simply barks and growls at it, her fury shifting from the brown man to the mythical creature that spawned into her reality. She wanted to kill it, but was so afraid to touch it, because who knows what it will do if she did!!! RE: You Look Like A Nice Person - Evergreen - May 02, 2020 She had moved a bit away from the water’s edge, obviously on guard yet Evergreen remains in his world of daydreams and denial. It is easy to brush off the stunned look seemingly frozen upon the fiery pup’s face, if only because the bear thinks fish are the coolest and being able to introduce them to someone so young is… well, awesome. Emerging onto the bank, he is soaked—dripping water along the soften soil-sand mixture. He resists the urge to shake himself, and instead, places the fish on the ground. The pup responds via barking and growling, almost as if she was here to show who the fish who is boss. Eve can’t help chuckling. So, this is a fish. It won’t hurt you,he explains—especially since the bear made sure to show mercy and end it before tiny teeth could mar it. He lays back down, this time allowing his paws to wrap around the fish as he begins to clean the scales off it to get to the meat. Come sniff and eat. RE: You Look Like A Nice Person - Conquest - May 02, 2020 Bouncing back and forth, barking, just losing her mind over this thing as she tried to gather the courage to go ahead and rip it to shreds for merely existing. How can it live underwater?! She knew one thing about it, you can drown, so how did this hell beast live there?! It lived against all the knowledge she knew of this life, and it had to die, it shouldn't be here. He assures her it won't hurt her, and for a moment she stops all movement and sound, staring at the fish intensely with wide uncertain eyes, head cocking to the side as if to say "are you absolutely sure about that?". She keeps that position while he cleans and descales it, only her lower lip rising to purse her lips while grimacing at the thing. Carefully she steps forward, eyeing the thing with daggers and threatening silently "move, and ill end you". It smelled like nothing, just water. A quick lookup to the big guy while sticking out her tongue to taste the fish and - OH YUCK. What the fuck was that?! Sticking out her tongue in disgust, she glares at the big brown male just to snort at the fish and stomp away and ponder over what she had encountered today. That guy was weird, the thing he brought was weird, and she wanted something to get that fishy taste out of her mouth! |
