streams of flowing water - Shadow - August 20, 2014

@Kaskara We'll roleplay the start where they meet and decided to spar etc.

The ashen male was in a mood for a good spar, but wasn't in a mood to get a million scars. A training fight with one of his packmates would be nice, one that knew how to fight and would prove to be a good opponent. Someone like the Creek's new Beta, Scimitar. He wondered if anyone wanted to spar today, anyone from the Creek.

He approached the Creek edge and bent down to lap up some water, usually the wolves of Swiftcurrent would be near the Creek at all times, it was a great source for fresh water and prey at the same time and surely, today someone would come by and perhaps they, too were in a mood for a fight.

The sterling outrider raised his head from the water, shook himself and gazed around wondering who would be the first to approach the Creek, if they actually came, that is.

I've never done this using this system! Learning something new.

Kaskara was happy she had found out that Junior was alive and well. Her spirit felt lighter and she was more willing to interact with her packmates. Not that she had been a bad pack wolf before, but now she was actively seeking out others instead of simply wandering about. She was walking along the creek's shore when she saw Shadow ahead, drinking from the cool liquid.

With a grin, she sauntered forward and barked a greeting, wagging her tail in a display of friendly greeting, quickly lowering it in case he felt it was a threat. After all, he had just been promoted to the upper tier, and she was happy for him. "Hey Shadow," she called with a smile, slowing her pace until she stopped a few yards from him. "How're you?"

"How're you?"

"Kaskara," he turned, drawling slightly, a faint smile on his lips. "Great! Can't be better." That is, if you choose to spar with me because if you don't, I'll become a grumpy old badger. He smiled, "So you do know my name after all.", his gaze locked with her bi-colored eyes before moving away.

"So what are you up to?" he asked at an attempt for a conversation, this was not going to fail. He wasn't going to end this with an awkward silence where they both awkwardly go. No. She was Scimitar's sister, no doubt she was also a good fighter. A good sparring opponent.

"Of course I know your name," she responded, eyeing him with a curious look. Shadow was a weird fellow, prone to mood swings (at least from what she had observed), but he seemed to have good intentions. "I've just returned from a trip to the Kinta Flatlands. I didn't know what I was looking for, honestly, but I found out that someone who I thought was dead isn't." She laughed softly, wondering how that must sound to him. "So that's good."

Kaskara wondered what he was doing near the creek today. Did he have other things to do as the newly appointed Epsilon? Perhaps not. Kas stepped into the shallows and took a sip of the cool, refreshing water, lapping it carefully. When she lifted her head, she licked the droplets of water from her cheeks, and turned back toward Shadow. "Have any big plans for the day?"

"I've just returned from a trip to the Kinta Flatlands. I didn't know what I was looking for, honestly, but I found out that someone who I thought was dead isn't." said Kaskara, laughing softly. "So that's good."

He smiled faintly, "That's good," he echoed. He watched as she drank water from the Creek before asking another question. "Have any big plans for the day?" she asked. He tilted his head slightly to the left, silver eyes gleaming. "Yes," he spoke softly. "I'm looking for a spar partner," he said.

He did not say anything else, instead waited for her reaction wondering how she would react to his words. He had merely stated it, not requested her to be his spar partner but perhaps she too, was in need for a good spar.

RE: streams of flowing water - Kaskara - August 22, 2014

Kaskara agreed that it was good, definitely some of the best news she had received in a long time. Shadow replied to her question about his plans for the day and her ears perked up. A spar? She hadn't done that in ages, since she had left Dal Riata behind to seek out a life of her own. She would be rusty, that was sure, but she knew she would remember the steps as easily as breathing, if it came down to it.

She watched him, wondering. "What makes you want to spar?" It wasn't an accusatory question; she was simply curious. She had grown up sparring her brothers, her cousins, her packmates, both friendly and competitively. She didn't know it was something that others did, too, outside of the somewhat battle-driven pack of her youth. But if he wanted to spar, she could spare an hour to stretch her muscles and feel the thrill of another's body against her own, evading and attacking, just for fun.

"What makes you want to spar?"

He shrugged, "To train, get better at fighting." he tilted his head and looked at her. "Your brother's a good fighter, although I defeated him in the end." his platinum gaze wandered towards the Creek before snapping back towards Kaskara. "You wanna spar with me? You do know how to fight, right?" he said the last bit in a joking tone.

If she wanted to fight, great. If she didn't, well not good and he'll just have to walk past her and find someone who knew how to fight and wanted to spar. And it would take time to find wolves who wanted to spar. Kaskara was right in front of him so hopefully she'll want to spar too.

RE: streams of flowing water - Kaskara - August 22, 2014

Kas was surprised that this silver-coated male had defeated Scimitar. Her brother was strong and able, but she knew it wasn't always about strength in a spar. Shadow then asked if she would like to spar, and before she could answer, he asked if she knew how to fight. She knew he was joking, but something about his attitude irked her.

With a snap of her teeth, she gave her answer, "Of course I know how to fight." She moved then, watching him. "I came from a pack that valued strength in battle, even for the women." Her father had taught her all she knew about fighting, which was a considerable amount of moves and tips. "Don't insult a Gladius wolf. We are quick to anger and slow to forgive."

"I came from a pack that valued strength in battle, even for the women."

At least it wasn't a brutal pack where everything was a battle, bloodshed everywhere, even in the pack he thought bitterly, when she said that Gladius wolves were quick to anger and slow to forgive, he smiled. "And so are the Angels of Death." he replied quietly. He was one of the only few that actually knew the meaning of his last name. Angel of Death

He moved slightly to get a better balance and eyed Kaskara. Ears swiveling forward and tail flicking slowly as he analyzed the situation.
