The Raven-God - MorrĂgan - August 24, 2014

Morrigan has only seen the sea once in her lifetime. She was young then; ignorant and only focused on being the strongest. When she saw the large basin of water, she dismissed it as being an unusually large lake. Now she knew better and was curious as to what lay on its shore. The raven queen flew westward without escort. She could handle herself, she did not need others to follow her around.

After an hour of flying, the one-eyed queen lofted on a tree overlooking a bay. The raven clacked her beak thoughtfully, single eye roaming over the woods. As she looked over the scenery, she heard something squawking raucously above her. The raven looked up, cawing as a seagull dove down upon her.

Reacting quickly, she jumped into the air, talons raking down its side. The seagull tried to beat a hasty retreat, blood dripping down its white plumage. Morrigan hissed and chased after it. She flew up high, then diving down and hitting it, talons digging into the gull's back, pushing it down towards the sand. Once it began fluttering against the sandy shores, the raven pecked through the base of the gull's neck, stilling it. "Rat with wings..." she hissed.
