And two left feet, you know I always drop - Mira - June 03, 2020 Jun. 1st
Mother was gone, for now... father was there but she paid no mind. Mira had grown increasingly curious about the world beyond the den. She was on her feet, and there was more to see... even with one eye swollen shut. Still the other shone cold, and she carried herself to the entrance, peeking out with her limited vision. There was nothing much of interest, but the scents that occupied the world were intriguing, and her dark nose wiggled in response. RE: And two left feet, you know I always drop - Altair - June 04, 2020 At first, he didn’t quite like it when MOTHER left. But like all things, he grew accustomed to her coming and going, often replaced by any one of a rotating cast of familiar faces. He had not quite entirely associated who was who, with the exception of course of the wolf known as FATHER. Today however, he too was not quite interested in the affairs of what was going on, instead glumly lying on the den floor. Restlessness imbued him but he could not quite figure what would quell it, let alone place a name to the discomfort that came and went. Growing pains were perhaps a more apt way of putting it; they grew and their world seemed to stay rather small. He side-eyed Mira as she made for the den mouth, but did not raise a clamor about it. Instead his mouth opened to yawn and he stretched, only to slump over on his side with a rush of air escaping him. His sister slipped from his view in that brief moment and his eyes opened again, the outside world seemed to be blinding. And it was, save the cut of her silhouette. He closed his eyes then; this was boring. RE: And two left feet, you know I always drop - Dirge - June 04, 2020 And of the quartet, he could at least say that three-fourths of them were being well-behaved. His work was cut out for him for the most part and even Dirge was inclined to give him to a modicum of rest. At least, that had been the intention. The shuffle of Mira past him cracked open an eye from where he leaned against the rough wall, and he watched as she made her way. A silent groan left him—he remembered the last time, albeit this was the first time with this litter. Little jail breakers, every one of them, growing wild like weeds by the day and pushing boundaries. But he let them have their little bits of freedom within reason, knowing if any of them made it too far and such a thing was found out, it would come out of his hide. He might have been on den duty, but it would have been foolish to think that neither @Alya or @Lyra would lurk too far off… if Hydra wasn’t the one closest. So when his daughter reached the den mouth and paused, he slowly shifted into motion. His limbs were placed carefully as not to disturb the rest, daring not to disturb them, and he gathered himself to retrieve her before she had a moment to escape. Nothing more than a gentle scoop, though given how frequently Altair liked to protest, he anticipated the same of her. One loud sibling had a certain way of rallying the others—he had once been a loud voice in a quiet crowd too. oh no you have to deal with me twice sorry

The noise behind her caused an ear to turn back, though her eye remained forward. Soon she felt herself lifted up, and was quiet; did not struggle. There was a peace found in father's grasp, and her body slumped as tension left her muscles, allowing herself to be moved whichever way he desired like a ragdoll. Her eye found Altair below then, and she smiled softly. |
