A New Life - Stormfall - August 24, 2014 Anyone is welcome! ^_^ (Feeling lots of muse for Storm right now).
Stormfall was settling into the Teekon Wilds surprisingly nicely, considering that the place seemed to filled to the brim with wolves. The only one she had met so far had been the big brown one, who'd let her eat one of his fish. She was too scared to go near any others, and there hadn't been any reason to, anyways. Currently, she was about a quarter of the way into the Heartwood, and wondering if this was the place she should call home. She would have been fine with the lake -- Big Salmon Lake, though she didn't know its name -- except that there was no real shelter or good hiding places there. Being as small as she was meant that hiding from predators was a must.
She sniffed around the wood. So far, she hadn't smelled anything that signified that a group of predatory animals lived here. There was a bit of a wolf smell here and there, but nothing permanent, and nothing in a large quantity, which meant no pack. And the prey seemed abundant here. Even now, there was a rabbit not too far away, and it was downwind of her, so it hadn't noticed her yet. Instinctively, she got down into a crouch and began stalking the creature... It was truly beautiful and without hesitating, he trotted straight into the forest. Bird songs rang through the air, cheering the young wolf up. He was still a bit pissed when Bazi kicked Danica out but he had calmed down quite a bit and well wasn't going to attack anyone immediately in his way. He smelled a rabbit, spotted it out of the corner of his eye and leaped forward, only in mid-leap did he noticed a stormy gray feline stalking the rabbit. He paused and the rabbit nearly jumped away from his paws but he stretched himself out and found his jaws closing around it. As soon as it fell limp in his jaws, he placed it on the ground and turned to look at the stormy feline, backing away slightly and flicked his ears telling the feline to take it. After all it had been stalking it when he had suddenly intervened and killed it, to him it still belonged to the feline. RE: A New Life - Stormfall - August 25, 2014 :D Hi! Also, Storm's been getting lucky finding only nice wolves so far lol. I can't imagine what a meeting between Jinx and her would be like, (if Jinx were still alive). Oh, and no need to match the length.
Stormfall let out a tremendous screech when the wolf appeared suddenly and pounced on the rabbit. She, like before with Adair, jumped ten feet in the air and six feet back. Being a cat, she did not like sudden movement, and that was exactly what this wolf had made: a sudden movement. She let out a hiss of irritation as she saw that it now had the rabbit dangling in its jaws. She'd been stalking it first, so by all rights it was hers in her mind. But no matter. There was no use arguing with the brute, who now looked at her and was lowering his mouth to the ground.
Without waiting to see what he was doing, she began to trot away, the hairs on her body all standing up, trying to make herself look bigger in case he decided to attack her, in which case she'd run or die. She was far smaller than she needed to be in order to properly defend against a wolf -- even a small wolf, and this one wasn't small, though he wasn't as big as her big brown friend, Adair (whose name she didn't actually know). She halted mid-trot, however, when she didn't feel any sign of pursuit, and turned to look over her shoulder with the deadpan bored expression most cats held on a regular basis. The wolf had dropped the rabbit on the ground and was stepping away from it, flicking his ears at her and looking at her like he expected something from her. Was he sharing food, too? Just like her friend had? With a flat, "Meow," she slowly turned and began padding on delicate paws over to the rabbit -- and closer to the wolf. If this was a trap, she was walking right into it. But she was confident she could get away fast enough if it came to that. Cats were, after all, much more agile and quick than dogs. RE: A New Life - Shadow - August 26, 2014 xD, it would be interesting

If he wanted to attack her, she would be dead by now. Probably rotting with dry blood covering her matted fur. If he wanted to attack her of course. He sat down, curling his tail around his paws gracefully as he regarded the feline with ice colored eyes. The feline spoke and turned, padding slowly to the rabbit's body. He had no intention of stealing the rabbit away from the feline, it was hers. He didn't move from his spot as she trotted towards him and the rabbit, instead licked a paw slowly, a faint smirk appearing on his face as he watched. He would continue on his journey through The Heartwood after the feline had left to do whatever she needed to do. He was content to just sit here and watch. RE: A New Life - Stormfall - August 26, 2014 Presently, she lay her front paws on the rabbit to hold it still as she tore small chunks of meat from its body and swallowed them whole, as bobcats did. She kept one eye on the wolf all the while. If he was going to ambush her now, she'd be ready, but why not enjoy her meal in the meantime? He seemed to enjoy simply sitting there, so why shouldn't she enjoy eating? And so she did.
Eventually, she finished her meal, and her full belly made her quite sleepy. She stretched, making her body long, toes spread apart, and yawned. It felt good. Then she sat on her haunches and glanced at the wolf, before beginning to lick a paw, and realizing with a smirk that he was doing the same. And so they continued to lick their paws in silence, and Stormfall wondered if he had anything to say, even though she knew she wouldn't understand it if he spoke to her. RE: A New Life - Shadow - August 26, 2014 <style type="text/css"> r1 {color:#5e6d7c; font-size: 10px;} .r1box {background-color: #ccffffff; width: 500px; margin: auto; background-image: url('http://i.imgur.com/y77SqPt.jpg'); background-repeat: no-repeat; outline: 10px solid #477583;} .r1text {margin: auto; width: 370px; color:#2e5c8a; text-indent: 15px; font-family: rokkit; line-height: 15px; font-size: 12px; text-align: justify; padding-left: 15px; padding-right: 15px; padding-bottom: 5px; padding-top: 525px; margin-bottom: 30px;}</style> He watched the feline lie on her front paws as she tore chunks of meat from the rabbit and swallowed. Soon she finished her meal and stretched, yawning widely and sat down, licking a paw. He grinned at her, placing his paw on the ground in front of him and gazed at the bobcat curiously. She probably didn't understand what he said but decided to try anyways. "Hello, little feline." he said good naturedly knowing she probably won't understand. "How was the rabbit?" a smirk graced his lips, amusement dancing in his bright platinum eyes. He twisted and licked at his ruffled back fur before turning to gaze at the feline again. RE: A New Life - Stormfall - August 26, 2014 All the cat heard from the wolf's mouth were bark-y growly sounds, which was nothing new for her. She looked at him with lazy eyes and responded with a bored-sounding, "Mrrowr." Then she gazed without blinking as he turned and licked at his back. When he turned to her again, she looked away, pretending she had never been looking at him at all. It was a cat thing.
Bored and feeling sleepy, she rolled onto her back and looked at the wolf upside-down, giving him a small, "Mew," and blinking at him. She reached for him with a paw, trying to place it on his nose, but he was much too far away, so she gave up and let her front leg go limp. His kindness reminded her of Adair, whom she missed, and she wondered if she'd ever see the brute again... RE: A New Life - Shadow - August 26, 2014 <style type="text/css"> r1 {color:#5e6d7c; font-size: 10px;} .r1box {background-color: #ccffffff; width: 500px; margin: auto; background-image: url('http://i.imgur.com/y77SqPt.jpg'); background-repeat: no-repeat; outline: 10px solid #477583;} .r1text {margin: auto; width: 370px; color:#2e5c8a; text-indent: 15px; font-family: rokkit; line-height: 15px; font-size: 12px; text-align: justify; padding-left: 15px; padding-right: 15px; padding-bottom: 5px; padding-top: 525px; margin-bottom: 30px;}</style> The sterling outrider laughed softly as she rolled onto her back and looked at him upside down, giving him a small 'Mew' and blinking at him. She reached out with a paw to try to touch him but gave up after realizing he was too far away. He inched forward slowly, hoping not to frighten her, his posture calm, hopefully she wouldn't run away just yet. He enjoyed her company. He thumped his tail gently against the ground once as a sign of contentment, yawning slightly wondering if it would be a good idea to take a nap here. He was tired and even though the urge to explore was strong, it didn't seem to be able to overcome the urge to sleep however the silver wolf resisted the urge to just fall on his side, close his eyes and drift off instead concentrated on the feline in front of him, silver eyes gleaming with warmth and curiosity. |
