Every line and every abrasion. - Artyom - June 24, 2020

Back-dated (will edit the date when I figure it out, lol) to June 12th and looking for @Aiolos. All YL wolves welcome!

Artyom and @Germanicus spent several days roaming the shoreline, but had found no sign of the coastal pack where Aphrodite's saviour made his home. The gilded leader was beginning to grow frustrated, though he felt that he managed to mask it well enough. He'd been too far from home for too long, and all he really wanted was to curl close to his mate and children.

His heart longed for the shelter of Whitebark's woodland, the sound of birdsong and the scent of its crisp waters. He was not a wolf built for the sense of vulnerability that the open sea inflicted. As the duo trailed across damp sand along the water's edge beneath the heat of a midday sun, Artyom decided that they would turn back if no further progress was made by the time evening crept in.

He was tired. Pausing to rest for a time, his dark eyes searched for the face of his comrade - and found the land mass beyond his figure. "Do you think...?" The island!

the sight and tang and breadth of the ocean too had come to exhaust germanicus. whitebark was his respite, though his role as guardian came before his own comfort. and so he did not mention this aloud, only flanked artyom in silence, gaze ever-vigilant for any movement roundabout them.

the pale leader muttered, eyes settled beyond germanicus, and the eaglewrought sidled, turned. the island that had grown from the waters. "stranger things have happened," the man opted, intrigued despite his tiredness, and willing to accompany artyom toward the edge if he so chose.

RE: Every line and every abrasion. - Aiolos - June 26, 2020

Three weeks had passed since his encounter with Donovan, along with Aphrodite and her friend. He had not seen the two Whitebark wolves since. Not since watching them tuck tail and leave, allowing himself to take the blunt of the damage to follow. Though he had been quite badly torn and bruised along his neckline, wounds took time and would heal and the itchy scabs long since fallen. A stiffness in the neck remained and the hairs all along under and on the sides of his neck still having not yet grown back. These were the reminders which still remained.

Aiolos was content to put it behind him, uncertain of what would have become of him had his packmates not come to his aid, had @Moorhen not backed him up. The blood soaked sands had long since been washed clean by rain and turning tides. Aiolos silently grumbles to himself as he makes his way back from the sands and tall grasses of the moors and towards the coastline and back home.

Out on the open flats of beach it is not hard to spot the two fellows settled on the shore, looking out into the direction of his island home. That island belongs to Yuelong. He calls out as gingered limbs keep forward at a lazy pace towards them. Have you come seeking them? He wonders, pausing in his placement to hear out if he was needed here.

RE: Every line and every abrasion. - Artyom - June 26, 2020

The golden leader hummed softly as he pointed his muzzle once more in the direction of the island just beyond the coast. He considered calling out to them, hoped his voice would carry across the sea - but how would they respond? Artyom could see no way across, and the waters were surely too treacherous to swim through safely. The approach of another from behind went unnoticed by the ranger, who could not hear the sound of paw steps in the sand above the noise of rolling waves. So he was startled, naturally, when a tone that differed from that of his guard spoke up, and he swung his head over a gilded shoulder to fix the speaker with a firm stare. He spoke of the island, how it belonged to a pack by an unfamiliar name, and requested information.

"Perhaps," Artyom responded, quick to pair the stranger with what little information he had of Aiolos' description with him. "I am Artyom, and this is Germanicus." He dipped his head in acknowledgement toward his greyscale comrade. "We are looking for someone who makes their home on the coast, by the name of Aiolos."

RE: Every line and every abrasion. - Germanicus - June 28, 2020

germanicus' honed ears caught the tread; he turned a hair before artyom, hushflower eyes resting on the firelit man who had come up to address them. well-built but unthreatening, he gave a name prior to the introduction of the whitebark wolves.

the centurion himself had not aught to say, only delivered a quick, knowing bow before he returned his attention to their meet. the sea filled his senses; the soldier willed back the crack of wave upon shore and kept his gaze upon the newcomer.

RE: Every line and every abrasion. - Aiolos - July 01, 2020

The rolling of the waves and the thick scent of the sea did well to hid his approach only when not directly looked towards. Though the moment the golden blonde wolf whipping around at the sound of Aiolos' voice, the red wolf was easily stared down upon by both he and his dark counterpart.

A curt downward pull of muzzle was offered by the quiet centennial, a role Aiolos himself often played and so he did the same in turn. Then eyes met with the golden fellow, Artyom, who introduced himself and his partner, explaining they were not looking for the pack of Yuelong in particular, but a wolf who happened to live amongst them - himself.

That would be me. He spoke and wwithout hesitation. For all he knew, these two men could be looking for him with ill will. However, Aiolos didnt harbor many enemies, savor but perhaps the one recently. Still, he kept his watchful gaze on them for any sign of agression. Maybe they had word about Ying's whereabouts? But no, they didnt smell like the mountain Spear wolves. In fact, they smelt like...*sniff sniff*...Aphrodite.

RE: Every line and every abrasion. - Germanicus - August 20, 2020

smacking a fade on this, PM me if not ok <3

the man revealed himself as the one requested.

seeing no fight in him, and sensing that none would come, germanicus retreated some ways away. whatever artyom might say would be protected by the presence of his unhearing guard, for his only role was to remain watchful of the intriguing man with the name of a greek.
