amma has appeared to recede into herself; tending to him and his twinshine. asmoses, sensitive to this development, fusses over her in the best way he can. formation of sounds into words in his throat was still a struggle but he was understanding more and more: his name, for starters. vocal cues, too. grasp upon emotions themselves: anger, happiness, sadness was still not strong enough to form a transcending understanding but he was a sharp witted boy and was learning as fast as his developing mind would let him.
boos!he coos to his amma, pressing his nose against the fur of her shoulder, and then licking beneath her chin before bounding out in the the bright golden rays of the early morning sun. it crests the horizon still, lingering and concealed in the treeline, illuminating the spindly branches and emerald leaves in a shimmering halo.
a breath is taken; deeply, full of musky earth and blossoming flowers around the den. it was a new day and thus a new adventure.
