knocks me right off of my feet - Huojin - July 09, 2020 παπά, huojin called, we go ψάρι?summer’s heat made him very hungry, but he wasn’t craving ruó’s milk the way he had before; his cravings for solid food were becoming more intense. @Aiolos seemed to be the parent more often away or bringing home gifts, which obviously made huojin assume that his father was the correct individual to ask. until then, he hadn’t gone from pride rock. the furthest he’d been from his original whelping den was the balcony just outside. though curious, huojin was equally apprehensive about descending their stony throne, and wondered if their might be a way for him to fish from the comfort of his perch. RE: knocks me right off of my feet - Aiolos - July 12, 2020 ναι ψάρια.Aiolos spoke, a smile upon his face as he moved out of the rocky little cave and stretched out, eyes trained upon top of the rock where his child perched. He couldnt help the bit of chuckle from his lips, enjoying the difference in language which he spoke between himself and his mother. Come, I'll show you.He spoke, taking a few steps down the beach before pausing and waiting for @Huojin to come along. The tidepools would have been a good place to practice but they were quite a trek south from the densite. A little further then Olo would have wanted to take his son just yet. RE: knocks me right off of my feet - Huojin - July 13, 2020 aiolos seemed willing to entertain huojin, exciting the boy’s otherwise non-adventurous spirit. his tail wagged excitedly behind him, cutting clean lines through the invisible salt-soaked air. ψάρια, ψάρια, he mumbled to himself, small paws carrying him toward aiolos’s side. huojin hadn’t considered that they would have to walk onto the sand to reach the water, and was visibly taken aback once this realization set in. no, he told aiolos, brow furrowing gently together. ψάρια, no beach. RE: knocks me right off of my feet - Aiolos - July 16, 2020 Eager was his pup up until the moment they moved from the sandy earth sprouted with long grasses abd onto the solid and more compact sands of the shoreline. He stops, unwilling, barking out a 'no'. Aiolos gingered ears perk, pausing his walk as he turned around to his son. Are you afraid of Sea, son?He wondered then, for although looking at the beach from a safe distance Houjin was used to, being near was far different. It is good to be afraid. The waters are as dangerous as beautiful. You must always be alert in the open ocean, watchful and respectful. He was not sure if his child would understand all of what he meant, but hopefully the gist of it. If anything, We will not go close, not for awhile. Come, I'll show you where its safer. He urged, shifting his position and walking the line of where just sand met with where the grass began growing. RE: knocks me right off of my feet - Huojin - July 18, 2020 huojin hadn’t forgotten his mother’s method of introduction, and couldn’t tell if his father’s would be any different. he remained planted atop the stony perch while aiolos spoke, his ears swiveling slowly with concealed interest. with evident hesitation, huojin stepped fully onto beach (still several feet from the water line), and decided to follow behind aiolos. RE: knocks me right off of my feet - Aiolos - July 30, 2020 Happy that his son was able to gather himself, he began a slow pace so that his child could keep to his side and well in good view. θάλασσα,he began, Is different then other waters. Not to drink. He explained, looking over his sandy and red son in search for any confusion in his expression. Fish live in both waters. RE: knocks me right off of my feet - Huojin - August 03, 2020 huojin paused for a moment. θάλασσα?he asked, pointing toward the ocean. why couldn’t they drink it? ocean water looked just like every other kind, so this rule didn’t make much sense. he would mind his father, though, and not ask too many questions. big fish?huojin asked, tilting his head, yum. RE: knocks me right off of my feet - Aiolos - August 09, 2020 It tastes different. You drink it, but it only makes you more thirsty. He spoke, coming up along a rocky little stream which made way from some water source or another inland on the island and out into the open ocean. It broke apart, causing little pools of water. Water inland is safe.He explained and he began searching the pools for fish. Here only small fish would be caught here granted the size of the pools, but enough for his little son to practice and eat. You start small, son. RE: knocks me right off of my feet - Huojin - August 10, 2020 do you wanna wrap this one? we can probably fade with the fishing lesson.
drinking ocean water could make you more thirsty? huojin knew he had to try that out for himself someday, just to make sure aiolos wasn’t bluffing. whether there were big fish in this water or not, his father didn’t seem keen on allowing him to try hunting one. well, whatever; a snack was a snack. RE: knocks me right off of my feet - Aiolos - August 13, 2020 Yeah that sounds good. Figure Jin can just play round in the shallows with the fishes and Olo watch. :)
That is a stream,he said, motioning with his nose, And these are 'pools' or 'puddles'.He took one large paw and splashed it into the water, intent on getting his son wet in the process. With a laugh, Come on now, you try and catch one.And then Aiolos settled back, curious as to watch his son at the beginnings of learning to hunt for himself.[/ooc] |
