because I am not going your way - Hela - July 11, 2020

vague vague vague
at least she isn't in a pit.

the woman is still, a small mountain of wolf not far from the shore. her chest rises slowly, falls again. slitted gaze is ever-wary, auds relaxed but prepared to swivel toward any sound or trace of another. the once-warlord is going nowhere fast, held here in limbo until she can make for shore again.

flies buzz, attempting to alight on weeping wounds. one lands on one of the gashes across her muzzle, remaining a moment before she snaps her jaws and it alights into the air once again. deep sigh leaves her; should she remove herself from the situation, she'd be able to see the neat way in which retribution had been dealt.

RE: because I am not going your way - Ruò - July 12, 2020

there was a lot of unfamiliar scents that swarmed the mother siren, many whome were not family, but carried the scent hua was with them. sea salt plagued many of their pelts too, she wasn't disgusted, but uncomfortable with all these unfamiliar ones. she also couldn't help but definitely feeling bitter, knowing that she will always be the lowest of them all, despite being one of the originals, as well as family. but, it seemed it didn't matter anymore. except when she thought those words, there was a twang of regret.

one could say after an interaction with hua, she knew her place in this pack. it definitely plagued her mind, that ruo felt more isolated, and less inclined to participate in this pack, anymore. she was stubborn, to go back to how it was. however for @Huojin, and his father, it was best to stay. she had time, after all.
even within her own mind, she didn't want to admit her desire not to leave- and to stay. but, she used the excuse there was time.

so much time that she decided to slip away while her son slept, unless he dared to follow. usually @Aiolos would be guarding if he wasn't busy, and being surrounded by a marked land, she had little to no worry of his safety. until, "blood," it's scent hung in the air, but she was unable to tell if fresh or not.

it wasn't hard t discover the culprite, she smelled of others, a packmate that ruo did not know, "you okay."

besides the three-legged boy, she has remained, until now, unaccosted. and so when the woman presses into her solitude, her hackles flare, lips curling even while she does not shift. thirst has been wetted by the stream she'd managed to position herself besides, but hunger is a blade against her stomach and her entire body throbs with pain. at the very least, her blinding headache has faded to a dull ache.

"leave." she rumbles, molten gaze finding the woman's own in a display of simple aggression she's entirely unable to back.

ruo shrugged. she was not the type to over-exert herself to appease someone who did not want help. a siren was not of a kind soul despite the bleeding lady needing help. even so, she doesn't have much medical knowledge to help, the best she could do was find another, or simply help clean the wound.

but she was told to leave, so whatever.

she started to walk to her pride rock, unless anything else came to her attention.

to her surprise, she does. eyes follow her retreat for a moment, wondering if she'd made the wrong decision on her demand. but there is no use in contemplating it further, for in a moment the woman is gone, evidently entirely unconcerned with the random, bleeding wolf in her territory. it suits the once-warlord just fine, and when her immediate surrounds still once more, she settles back down, falling motionless save the rise and fall of her sides.
