If this is to end in fire - Orlaith - July 12, 2020 @Fionn Forwarded to 7-14-2020 "Hey," Orlaith was on a prowl, as she scorched through the forest in a blaze of a fury. She had grown so dull, and despite displaying being at peace, with the peace.. It was a damn lie. She enjoyed the sanctuary of no discord within the court, but longed for a waltz.
"Fionn, I want a duel." So she, like the beast she was presenting herself as, the fire-fairy called out to the other warrior, in a fit of energy. She wanted to fight. RE: If this is to end in fire - Fionn - July 12, 2020 Fionn turned at the voice, the direct request. To him, though, it was no request- rather a command. Ears flattened shyly to his head, unsure whether Orlaith would want him to let her win, or rather if she would be offended, if he ought to go his all. Ah, well. The boy would figure it out as he went... Okay,He agreed, slight nervousness seeping into his voice. He lowered his head, submissive, but an invitation for her to come at him. RE: If this is to end in fire - Orlaith - July 12, 2020 She was pleased he was quick to accept, and she was quick to move in for the attack. Already did the warrior bend low to the ground, the usuals tucks, and the quick thrust toward Fionn! She only wished to have a spree of movements, a scurry of attacks, the rush of victory! Orlaith aimed to simply tackle her foe down in a quick defeat.
RE: If this is to end in fire - Fionn - July 23, 2020 She moved in quickly, aiming to tackle him. Fionn's reaction time was not the sharpest, and he fell beneath her with an umph, though he would not be defeated yet! Though his back to the ground in a tackle, he kicked up his hind legs against her underside, hoping it might steal her breath or bother her enough to leap away. RE: If this is to end in fire - Orlaith - July 25, 2020 slides, unless want fionn to lose purposely !
Spars were always a pleasant activity within the previous court, as they were so peaceful that Orlaith could do nothing else, besides constantly challenge. She remembered a few times coming after Fionn, sometimes it was a win, but sometimes it was a loss. She didn't have a perfect streak, no one could, but she always pretended she had, and never spoke of the losses. The guard wanted to be ontop, and believed with those who don't have a winning line, shouldn't do so.
She had to catch her breath once the fellow warrior knocked her stomach, and promptly backed up he did so. Though she wasn't going to relent, and lunged forward toward his neck in a hopeful pin, thinking Orlaith could land one before he could get back up. RE: If this is to end in fire - Fionn - July 25, 2020 Orlaith backed off as he assumed she might- and he was thankful he had been pinned with his limbs above him, rather than below. How pitiful it might've been if the spar had ended that quickly! He was started to pull himself up when she came for his throat, and it was like the holy ghost coming down from on high, frightening in the most beautiful way. There was not enough time for him to get up, and so he simply let his weight back to the ground and did what he could- rolling horizontally to the side. Still he felt the tips of a couple fangs graze him as she likely came to the ground where he was; the sting of these wounds was not easy but Fionn was a mercenary, and knew blood was often inevitable, even in spars. There was no time to waste though, so even with the fresh grazed skin he pulled himself up as quickly as he could, and backed up a couple feet, lowering himself into a challenging stance, expecting she might come to charge at him again. RE: If this is to end in fire - Orlaith - July 25, 2020 She did not manage to what was desired, but managed an injury nontheless. An unfortunate incident in a spar, she thought, licking the small amount of red that stained her teeth. However he didn't relent, and rather proposed a stance of challenge. With a grin arrogancy, she did what he expected, a charge toward the silver beast.
Orlaith snapped at the air, charging full-forth like a raging flame, ready to burn her fellow warrior. RE: If this is to end in fire - Fionn - July 25, 2020 When she came he boldly stood his ground. He did not seek to surprise her with some fancy dodge, no, this was to create true battle. She snapped in the air, and he opened his jaws wide the same- perhaps they could engage in a locking war of the fangs, or maybe some simple muzzle-grabbing, a simple dominance technique favored by many wolves such as Orlaith- but whatever it would be, he was ready for her to collide directly with him. He would remain rooted with that fearless snarl. RE: If this is to end in fire - Orlaith - July 25, 2020 Their fangs collided, snarls erupting into the forest, like a true battle amongst foes. Saber swords climaxing against each other as they shoved and slammed their endless teeth before each other. Even though Fionn, delicate and high as Orlaith saw him, was still a warrior amongst the faes.
But she knew between their constant intermingling of fangs, would never end. The flaming wolf twisted her body, a attempted slam against him so while still a flurry of teeth raining upon. She hoped with her sheer muscle and mass alone, could try in an attempt to knock him down once more. RE: If this is to end in fire - Fionn - July 25, 2020 Their teeth clashed, necks swiveling, meeting eachother again and again like swordsmen with clashing blades, fearsome and unrelenting. And yet it could not last forever- and so when she pulled away to slam him, it came as slight surprise, catching him off guard. Jaws still opened expectantly, but now he was unable to find his balance, and toppled like a great old oak tree. Try he might to get up again to his feet, for a moment he is in the perfect position to be pinned with limbs beneath him. RE: If this is to end in fire - Orlaith - July 25, 2020 Orlaith took advantage of the weakened moment. She collided to try and make sure he would stay in position, and continue to go down upon him. Determined, to win the fight, she still had her fangs snarled in attack, if she had an unsuccessful pin, the flame was ready to rain another flurry of fangs.
"Give?" The guard growled out. RE: If this is to end in fire - Fionn - July 25, 2020 And down she came, successfully pinning him to the ground. Though he writhed for a moment, there was no use, and he sighed out defeat. Yeah,He agreed in an exhale, muscles going limb beneath her to make it clear the spar was over- and she had won. RE: If this is to end in fire - Orlaith - July 25, 2020 "It's been a while, should do it again yeah?" Orlaith laughed while getting off him, letting the male readjust himself after the beating. She hadn't felt that relief in a while, especially with how much pent up energy the guard has been keeping. "Let's go get a drink of water."
RE: If this is to end in fire - Fionn - July 25, 2020 Yeah,He laughed as he got to his feet again. Fionn shook out his pelt, a little dirt falling out here and there. When she suggested they go get a drink, the boy was happy to follow, falling into step behind her as she would lead the way to some stream. fading! thanks for the thread <3
